Canada's Fascist Deputy PM Announce That She is Now Freezing the Accounts of Anyone Who Donated to the Nonviolent Truckers Convoy Protest

This witch-faced fascist hag is formerly an American "journalist," of course -- she used to work at MSNBC, among other places.

And then she naturally drifted right into extremist leftwing politics. As they all do.

As I'm fond of pointing out: the most fervent propagandists for extremism, violence, and murder during the French Revolution were... journalists. Jean-Paul Marat was a "journalist," for example. (The occupation that was the second-most bloodthirsty during the Revolution? Lawyers, obviously. Like Robespierre.)

As George Lucas might say: History's like a poem, it rhymes.

Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act for the first time in Canada's history. This act gives the Canadian government martial law powers in cases of invasion or threats to national security. Justin Trudeau is claiming that the "occupation" of parts of Ottawa constitute an invasion.

And he's threatening to begin arresting truckers.

And these won't be normal arrests -- these arrests will come with confiscation of your licenses and your savings.

Canadian police massed in the capital Thursday, readying to clear a trucker-led protest that has choked Ottawa's streets for three weeks and provoked the government to call on rarely used emergency powers.

With barricades going up and a heavy police presence forming in the area where hundreds of big rigs remained parked, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Parliament nearby defending his decision to invoke the Emergencies Act for only the second time ever in peacetime.

"Illegal blockades and occupations are not peaceful protests," Trudeau told the House of Commons, adding: "They have to stop."

And the "anti-authoritarian" resistance in the US, made up of the Jacobin US media and their Neocon/Neoliberal Snarling Fascist allies, cheered.

Because a bunch of Canadian working class people, who could never have possibly voted for Trump, felt vaguely "Trump-ish" to them, and therefore were literally subhumans with no human rights to demonstrate and protest.

The former chief of police of Ottawa just resigned, almost certainly because he was not willing to "do what needs to be done," as Fidel Castro's bastard get demanded.

Now that Castreau has, presumably a more amenable apparatchik installed to execute his will, the Rough Stuff will begin.

And this is not due to any actual "emergency" -- just because of the political "emergency" that Justin Trudeau is rapidly losing support and needs to use violent, authoritarian (and illegal) means to "look tough" and re-assert his power.

And the anti-authoritarians of NeverTrump cheer.

They're the True Conservatives, you know. They might have mentioned that once or twice.

44 How foolish we were to support that.

I'll repeat myself on something I said 15 years ago: The PATRIOT act is simply the RICO statutes applied to terrorism. Those laws were always in place, they just were shifted to cover a larger swath of crimes.

RICO its self is extremely questionable, so much so that nobody even used them for years because they weren't sure how to apply them and if it was even proper to do so.

The constitution plainly bans holding X responsible for the actions of Y, but here we are.

I don't complain about Ace or Instapundit linking Hotair because I don't want to be a political commissar (ok, maybe I'll make a wiseass comment at Insty once in a rare while), but I honestly legitimately don't understand why they do it.

They had one talented conservative writer, who is now liberal and mentally ill, being voraciously addicted to endorphins from the most menticidal social media platform. He remained a fun read through the Trump era precisely *because* he was so upset at what was happening, but then Trump lost (or "lost") and it stopped being funny.

Jazz is dumb as a brick and Ed is as useful as a sock-flavored lollipop. (Are they even still there?) Their other writers produce damp, serviceable blog content, but are basically indistinguishable from any other right news interns.

I literally have not been back one time since last January. I hit the back button when I get linked in. There was never any noteworthy content there except one writer who is now a maniac who occasionally cynically performs RW kabuki. I legitimately don't understand why people go back.

It's appalling across the board. The protest has been inconvenient and damaging, but it has *not* been violent. It is not an uprising. It is not a rebellion or an insurrection or a civil war. Responding the way the Canadian state has - seizing assets, sabotaging equipment not even involved in the action, arresting people, threatening to take away people's kids, ramping up for a violent suppression, etc. - is astonishingly bad.

Where the hell is their parliament? Where's the confidence vote? Where are the new elections? They stand around and say mean things to Trudeau during question time, but if I were a Canadian I'd be wondering where the action is. Sadly, Canadian parliament appears to be about as good as the US congress.

Things that these truckers, if successful, will start to unravel. And that could very well affect other countries and imperil their Reset plans. This cannot happen. So Turdeau and his people have been given orders that these "curs" (truckers and their supporters) must be put down immediately...BAMN. And that's the only thing that explains this completely insane overreaction.

Since it went into effect in 1979 until 2017, there were 41,222 FISA warrants requested. Of those, 40,668 (98.65%) were approved without modification. 1,252 (3.08%) were approved after modification. Only 85 (0.21%) were denied.

It beggars belief that only 0.21% of FISA requests were bad, wrong, unjustified, illegal, politically-motivated or otherwise worthy of denial.

Well that was supposedly a method of making sure the act was only used against actual terrorists. The problem with that is

A) the courts just rubber stamp everything, often without even looking at it
B) the law allows surveillance and action against someone one or more steps removed from the actual target. So, if Bob is suspected of terrorism, and you're Bob's buddy, they can hack you, too.

And as we all know from Kevin Bacon, its damned easy to associate anyone with anyone else, especially with rubber stamp oversight.

181 CRT makes maintenance of the current order--any maintenance of the current order--"white supremacy". It's not like the management state wants to adopt CRT, it's just that they need the state changed into it's full managerial state and tearing down the current order gets them closer.

It's just like I said that the Managerial class does not necessarily want Marxism, it's that Marxism feed collectivism. They know there is never going to be this "withering away of the state" stage called "communism", so you'll need people to manage your resources by then.

And it just so happens they're in the market. So the managerial class is leveraging every impetus to hold on to the current order "white supremacist" in accord with CRT, until their is no question about their right to rule.

Kid: Why did it start, Daddy?
Daddy: Because tyrants, drunk on power but possessing little common sense, thought that they could put down normal working people illegally. Eventually they failed, but hundreds of thousands of working people, and government stooges, died. Just like tyrants in the 20th century, they decided they wanted unbridled power, but like then, the tyrants were finally captured and hanged, except for those that killed themselves first.

There'd be relatively little point other than as a straight punitive measure, and it would be a terribly expensive one. 401(k)s have no value until they're sold, and selling as many as the government would seize from dissidents would crash all the markets. Safer just to make a political tax category where they tax your takedowns at like 75% or something like that. Not to mention that seizures would piss off their globalist banker buddies rather a lot, because it would mark an assault on property rights that would have pretty serious consequences on prices. It would likely cause a crash regardless.

A backdoor option would be far better, and I suspect they will do something like that.

Actually, it didn't have to be. But Trudeau, in trying to intimidate the Truckers, made a crucial mistake. He ended up building a box for himself, and the Truckers have zero incentive in helping him escape. So he's stuck.

The one out, the liberal party stops Trudeau from calling the vote. It is his only escape hatch. Whether he takes it who knows. But a lot of Liberal politicians are not interested in losing their position. The Davos crowd can give Fidel, Jr. a soft landing somewhere if he doesn't survive the loss the liberals will take in the next election. But the individual Liberal bankbencher is ow worried about his or her own political survival.

It was just a sudden change like that, which tells me that the internal polling on COVID must be horrific, and the political class are desperately trying to break free of the mess they've created.

You're not, but that isn't quite right. He was some low-level public official and some woman called him because there was a dead dog on her property that needed removal and she didn't want to wait until they got around to it and wanted it dealt with immediately, that evening. So he went over and removed the dog, and put it on her doorstep to put the uppity citizen in her place and not be so demanding and rude to her long-suffering public officials.

Not if they all go home and take 2 weeks of Covid quarantine. Maybe a month, since it's just like smallpox, and we wouldn't want to take any chances. Sure, Castreau and Freeland will think they won, but it will just make them look even worse to anybody with common sense. Truckers do get to choose which loads they want to haul, so I would guess that store shelves will get mighty empty in Ottawa over the next few months. Oh well. It's really hard to fuel up an 18 wheeler when your accounts are frozen. Shrug?

Actually, the story was a perfect dementia hallucination.

"I got a call one night; the woman said to me -- obviously not of the same persuasion as I was politically -- called me and said: 'There's a dead dog on my lawn,'" said Biden, telling the story.
"And I said: 'Yes, ma'am.' I said: 'Have you called county?' She said: 'Yes, they're not here.' And I said: 'Well, I'll get them in the morning.'"
The woman was not satisfied by Biden's answer, telling Biden that she wanted the dog off her lawn now and that she paid his salary.
So Biden responded in kind: "So I went over," said Biden as the conference crowd laughed and applauded. "I picked it up. She said: 'I want it out of my front yard.' I put it on her doorstep. "But I've gotten much better since then," said Biden after wrapping up the story.

Does any of that sound remotely real? This is dementia in full bloom. I'm sure he dreamed it and now it's real.

370 Traditional political motives has no answer as to why Trudeau didn't try to moderate some of the restrictions.

Counterpoint: the Austrian government -- which JUST MADE THE VAX MANDATORY -- is now lifting a bunch of restrictions and will again review the vax mandate.

It looks like the fear is that if Canada loosens up, the other Commonwealth countries will too and they don't want the dominos to fall. That's not traditional nation-state politics -- that's some kind of global new order / WEF type thinking.

Anything that can be pulled forward probably should be. I just had a roofer out because I know the roof is older. He inspected it and told me that he would *not* recommend replacing it because there's plenty of life left in it (he did recommend a few minor repairs).

But I was prepared to pull it forward and sacrifice the last couple of years to get ahead of the cost increases. 7-10 years (which I have), no. That makes no sense. But if it's a fixed, durable thing you can afford to pull forward, pulling it forward may make sense.

Even worse, really.

I imagine a lot of people are remembering him through rose tinted glasses. I remember a *lot* of rumors going around when he was doing whatever TV show it was with all the little kids. I have no idea if it was real, I never watched any TV back then. But I can certainly see if any rumors were true, there's 2 ways this could have played out. 1) concerned parties that he might name names - like Kappy not being murdered by Tom Hanks. 2) a dad with a baseball bat finally caught up with him.

What little did get leaked out sounds like it would be almost impossible to fall, fracture the shit out of the back of your head - then get up and do the same to your face. A few times. Unless of course he had information on Hillary, in which case it was a tragic accident.

454 Covid has given so many governments across the globe the opportunity to become dictators and they aren't ready to give up that power. They don't want Covid to ever end.

Unfortunately, now that they have had a taste of this power they will find other excuses to use it.
Just look at Australia.

The most disgusting thing is that the tech companies, banks, MSM and many companies like the airlines are ready and willing to protect these dictators.

These truckers and anyone who donated to them will probably be listed as terrorists and on the no fly list.

And thus - the baseball cards gained value, because demand was created.

456 409 #392 USSC in Leon ruled that warrants are presumed drawn in good faith so any fuckery...oh well. Too bad.

Posted by: torabora
---------
Not quite, Leon's opinion in its application is surprisingly narrow--the mistake in the warrant address was by an officer of the judiciary--namely the clerk typing the warrant up. The police had given the judge the correct address and individuals that they had expected to find and were specific as to the contents. In essence, the magistrate's office screwed up.

The problem has been in later cases where the original ruling was distorted on behalf of the state. Now, the defense has to meet a higher degree of proof to exclude evidence from erroneous warrants either of recklessness or actual lying.

I've read pixy's comments. I think pixy has a lot more work to do to understand the landscape. Bitcoin has weaknesses. It was first so that is understandable. It's not the only game in town. Pixy fails to mention the full landscape and what can be done. There is no way to cease crypto transactions without shutting down the whole internet. There is no way with some coins to even trace the transaction to a person or even a crypto wallet indentifier. Pixy's rundown sounded more like someone who went into it with an idea and found that idea and quit.

Dr. Britz noted that the autopsy described fractures to particularly thick parts of the skull [at the back of the skull], as well as to bones in the roof of the eye socket. "If you fracture your orbit," he said, referring to those eye bones, "you have significant pain."

Can think of two reasons for Trudeau's intransigence:

-- In April 2021, Trudeau signed a huge contract with Pfizer to buy boosters (over 100 million) through **2024**

--They are rolling out Digital ID, for not just vaxx passports, but other things [ https://tinyurl.com/jxak57hh ] -- the vax passport is the gateway for this, and for eventual social credit/single point of surveillance and control over citizens

Does life insurance pay out for suicides?

_____________

Some life insurance policies do pay out for suicide, usually they require a period of several years to have passed from the time the policy was taken out (to discourage people who are contemplating suicide from buying a policy and then offing themselves the same afternoon). Some policies exclude it entirely.

But Saget's death does not look at all like suicide. It was either murder, or perhaps a very, very violent seizure on a concrete-like surface. If the latter, how was he then able to get up and go to bed? Seems unlikely.

Even with bitcoin while it is possible to trace transactions the effort involved is not something I see the government doing for every Tom, Dick and Harry on the street. You start living way beyond your means maybe you'll attract some attention, but as a typical routine occurrence I don't see it. The problem with crypto I see is that it is expensive to spend. If you buy a cup of coffee with it you'll spend more in fees than you will on the coffee.

Simply is an accepted store of value--the value of crypto is yet to be determined. I am quite aware of preservation of one's hide is a prerequisite in burning times. I suggest you read diaries of both the Argentinian financial crisis in the 00's and for the violent financial and social crisis in the former Yugoslavia. In a societal breakdown, booze is both used as a painkiller and as an antiseptic plus social uses. Gold, some people will accept it based on speculation that they can live to spend it. Silver ditto. Both require minimal storage space and have decent retention of value in past calamities when things go pear shape. Then you come to firearms and ammo, medical supplies, doggies that don't like strangers, power, clean water, crop planting, livestock, and so on.

See what Pixy has to say about it. Like most things, it is NOT money but a store of wealth which even silver and gold are the same.

But, it presupposes that a) the blockchain itself holds up which requires servers to do so and b) that people will accept it for physical goods. Gold and silver (jewels), etc have been accepted for millennium, block chain not so much. Given it requires trust plus electrical power/networking versus actual physical goods, that might be an issue in a Mad Max type dystopia.

In that scenario it fairs poorly. However in the likely interim scenario where every bank account has a government eye on it with a finger on the account kill switch. It's attractive. Multiple scenarios multiple solutions. Don't bank one thing to the exclusion of all else. If things start to go the death of the block chain direction, cut losses and go for gold. But if you need to say.....support some truckers doing a protest that's been labeled as illegal and you don't want that support traced to you personally. Crypto is mighty convenient.
