Surprise! The Straight-Shooter Highly Patriotic Good Guy Organization the CIA Has Been Spying on Americans

Defund.

They'll say "We can't defend you against terrorists unless we can spy on you!"

And I say, honestly: "I don't care. You're a bigger threat than any terrorist. I'd rather a thousand Americans die from terrorist attacks than you fascist monsters have any power at all. There are many threats and we have to rationally rank them all in terms of menace, and you assholes have managed to put yourselves at the top of the list."

You're the dangerous ones. You're the ones with the schemes to enslave us.

Foreign terrorists can't enslave us. They can kill some of us, a bunch of us if they get very lucky, but they can't enslave us. They can't control us in our daily lives.

But you can.

And you want to.

The DOJ, FBI, and CIA are the Axis of Evil that most threatens the safety and liberty of the American people.

The CIA has a secret, undisclosed data repository that includes information collected about Americans, two Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee said. While neither the agency nor lawmakers would disclose specifics about the data, the senators alleged the CIA had long hidden details about the program from the public and Congress.

Sens. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico sent a letter to top intelligence officials calling for more details about the program to be declassified. Large parts of the letter, which was sent in April 2021 and declassified Thursday, and documents released by the CIA were blacked out. Wyden and Heinrich said the program operated "outside the statutory framework that Congress and the public believe govern this collection."

There have long been concerns about what information the intelligence community collects domestically, driven in part by previous violations of Americans' civil liberties. The CIA and National Security Agency have a foreign mission and are generally barred from investigating Americans or U.S. businesses. But the spy agencies' sprawling collection of foreign communications often snares Americans' messages and data incidentally.

via GIPHY

"Incidentally"

Intelligence agencies are required to take steps to protect U.S. information, including redacting the names of any Americans from reports unless they are deemed relevant to an investigation. The process of removing redactions is known as "unmasking."

And we all know how you'd never unmask American citizens against the rules, don't we?

The CIA on Friday said the program highlighted by the senators and another disclosed this week are "repositories of information about the activities of foreign governments and foreign nationals." In a statement, the agency said the programs were classified to stop adversaries from compromising them.

And by "adversaries," they mean "American citizens and voters."

A little reminder:

In 2013, Wyden asked then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper if the NSA collected "any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans." Clapper initially responded, "No." He later said, "Not wittingly."

...

Clapper would later apologize in a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee, calling his response to Wyden "clearly erroneous."

He would later explain his perjury as an attempt to give "the least untruthful answer [he] could."

And of course he skated, because they're all literally above the law, and they know it, and they act like they know they're above the law.

1 The CIA has been spying on everyone since at least 71 since Echelon.

And the LE/IC apparatus has more than likely been spying on citizens since the advent of the LE/IC.

But to your point, they are an existential threat and must be dealt with.

People don't believe me when I say we used to have a moment of silent prayer in grammar school every morning, until 1962 and the no-prayer-in-schools decision by the Supremes. I have no idea what the other kids thought about during that time. But even I, who was not raised in any denomination, was aware that it was something solemn and not to be taken lightly.

I grew up with Catholic kids. On Tuesday afternoons, I think, a couple of my classmates got to leave at 2:15 for something called "catechism." We never talked about it, so I just thought they were getting out of school early. (Years later I saw my then-wife's old catechism book. Wow, what a lot to learn!) My point here is that nobody at school thought it weird for one of us to leave for that.

I doubt it. I keep looking for evidence that we're not living in a totalitarian intelligence/police state, but everything seems to be pointing in the wrong direction.

One small example: Nancy Pelosi established a brand new national LE agency as part of her 1/6 kabuki theater. No discussion, no legislation, no nothing.

And not a peep of criticism from anyone.

I'm thinking we've lost and it's too late for any reasonable hope of correcting this.

Here's a crazy idea. How about we not worship these institutions like idols and instead abolish and replace them every generation? Tear it all down and replace them with agencies focused on the challenges of the present and staffed with people eagerly focused on those goals.

Nope, part of the issue is that intel agencies cannot win by coming forward, they have to remain in the shadows to work. Coming out via force means that the majority of people that hate them can actively go on search and destroy.

When they do the overt thing like the KGB did, they self destruct without the shade of the state's approval over them. Look at how fast the power of the E. German Stasi evaporated when their nation's government imploded.

So those are the two states where Putin has "declared peace", but wants them independent. They have been at odds with current Ukraine prez, or was it mostly with the previous US imposed (by coup) prez? ... Seems some of the DPR citizens are fleeing the current friction by moving families into Russia (who they seem to consider more family than Western Ukraine?) 143 This is so depressing.
Every nation state requires a viable intelligence architecture if it wishes to remain a nation state. In a constitutional republic, this relies heavily on the patriotism, integrity, and honor of those who pursue intelligence as a career. It is critical for those who lead these organizations.
The moment the intel professionals become politicized, and their information becomes politicized, it ceases to be an intelligence organization. And the nations state fails.
Leaders, whether you like 'em or hate 'em, must have clean, unfettered information. Without that, the cost of failure will be measure in treasury, blood and liberty.

It wasn't the FBI spying in Italy ... a key data point of "smoke" to justify the collusion narrative. Brennen was CIA

And 9/11? Man, they barely had to leave their office to find out about that one. On 9/12, they told their bosses all about that one.

I think it is a combination of a few things.

1) She took on Hillary and Kamala so both the Clinton and Obama factions HATE her - she isn't getting back in power unless she does an end around.

2) She *is a leftist*, but her voting record is likely to the left of her actual views - her father is somewhat conservative and she expressed some issues with the gay crap the Dems had just started pushing early in her career. Remember, 10 years ago just about any leftwing Democrat would have claimed what they believe now was a bunch of weird conspiracy theory stuff no one would ever believe in.

We flipped the Ukranian government in 2014 (though the current pres is a different guy). Russia went in and 'occupied' the pro-Russian (and ethnically Russian) parts of Ukraine, which also hold a significant military port for them that they have a long working relationship with.

I think Putin may hope to diplomatically reintegrate the rest of Ukraine over time, so this approach of recognizing these territories as independent is somewhat less aggressive than immediately formally annexing them as member states. By comparison, if Russia attempted to go into Poland again diplomacy likely wouldn't be considered (Poland would never agree).

And they've always done things against the current morality against their fellow revolutionaries, the colonists, the citizens, whoever they needed to infiltrate and discover what they (their opposition) was doing, thinking, planning.

They've always excused their unconstitutional actions because of "reasons" mostly to do with protecting the nation, the citizens, the government, them.

And they've always been from the same or similar group of people namely the Ivies, the rich, the corporate barons, the big money men and of course those with connections to the other countries whether our allies or enemies.

It's always been such as this that has made their organization and operation an US vs THEM and much of the time the THEM has been the citizens of the US. Doesn't excuse it just sayin' it's always been there always been the same people, same class of people and we'll never be rid of them because they are who they are. Rich, powerful, connected and in control.

This nation, this country this ideal has always and ever been a function of the rich, powerful, and connected from the very beginning it was never some sort of grass roots outraged peons revolting against the evil monarchy. It's always been them against those who were their peers but were in control and the battle has always been about who is in control not some sort of ideal about freedom, liberty, or other such nonsense. That's all propaganda to arose the peasants into providing the cannon fodder and appearance of good so as to increase the likelihood of success of "this" sides money men and controllers.

310 291 Fox News/Business host Neil Cavuto explains on air that he was out for a while because he was hospitalized with Covid, adds, "doctors say that had I not been vaccinated at all, I wouldn't be here." "I'm not here to debate vaccinations for you. Just offer an explanation for me." Posted by: BetaCuck4Lyfe

Hucksters have been pulling that line for 50,000 years to excuse why their magical cure didn't work. I hope that Cavuto is just lying about doctors buying the "reduces symptoms" nonsense, but I wouldn't bet on it. Posted by: Oldcat

311 And now that we can see that if they wanted to they could've been arranging all our elections for a long time we suddenly come to the understanding that they probably HAD been arranging all our elections for all this time and that the entire basis of this nation has been a lie. A good lie and it's been good for the peasants but now things have changed and more nations are struggling for the same pie and "our" guys want to control that pie and they don't need the interference of the peasants or the idealistic populists to get in the way. So they had to show their cards a bit and they couldn't avoid it being found out as the steal was too obvious because the populist was too obviously popular. And now all of the lies and fakery is coming thru and so they decided now was the time to "cull the herd" so as to be able to control things a bit better. And they don't really mind too much what happens because they'll be okay and their families and associates will be safe and if some of the peasants are lucky, so will some of them. Fight them if you wish, think that we can win somehow if you're inclined but don't believe for a minute that they will come out the winners even if we find them.

313 This nation, this country this ideal has always and ever been a function of the rich, powerful, and connected from the very beginning it was never some sort of grass roots outraged peons revolting against the evil monarchy. It's always been them against those who were their peers but were in control and the battle has always been about who is in control not some sort of ideal about freedom, liberty, or other such nonsense.
Posted by: jakee308 at February 21, 2022 05:58 PM (+Nm6D)

And it will be again this time. Nevertheless, considering what we're looking at in the present, it may be good to support them anyways. At least the next set won't be mutilating and chemically injecting children.

316 " I really like Mike Pompeo but being the one-time head of the CIA makes me wonder. A lot. And by a lot I mean a shit ton. So much that I can't support him and his aspirations of becoming President. Did a great job as SOS but..."

right ... but on the other hand, we might need someone that has been in the belly of the beast but still loves America and Liberty. And West Point maybe was a go influence.

idk, Pompeo sounds good ... and perhaps better prepared than Trump .. who expected to be more business like, not ready for full on subterfuge and treason against him. But maybe it is all an act, and CIA flipped him into being a devil? ...

He lost a bunch of weight, is doing a lot of speaking ... might be a good option, or maybe Trump picks him as VP? idk

322 And manage to do away with them because there are always going to be enough left to control the operation they built up all this time.

This nation was all about preserving this class of people and not about preserving liberty for the peasants. This plan has been going forward for over 200 years and it's well constructed and well hidden (mostly even if we know it's there just try and find where and who controls it) and in control. No matter what we do. No matter what's happened in other countries. Remember it was them that was behind THOSE countries revolutions or uprisings or whatever so they know exactly how to stop one here.

328 @303

>>I once got the flu 2 days after my flu shot.

Per the CDC, the flu shot has a 36pct efficacy for all age groups.

Personally, I believe it has zero efficacy, I've never had the flu shot, and have probably gotten the flu 4 times in the past 20 years.

My kids when they were really young were at the pediatrician and they offered a flu vaccine through a nasal inhalation at a check up. My wife decided to get one also while she was there.

Whole family gets the flu a few days later (except me).

She call the pediatricians office and they said "Oh, the nasal vaccine is a live flu virus and that does happen sometimes"

But nobody ever question the medical community.

Whole lot of factors there which you and your doc know better as far as your situation.

Mine, I am coming through a SECOND bout of Covid, and in both cases, it caused subsequent infections of the respiratory system.
Bronchitis in the first, sinus infection and pneumonia this last time.
Both times, I have had severe blood pressure spikes that gradually went away.

342 The socialist/Communist have heavily infiltrated our government for a long time. They are in the FBI,CIA, judicial, Courts, other law enforcement, and even in local churches. the infiltration has been steady for a long time. I expect our assassinations were part of it, even Pattons death, who hated Communists, was greatly suspected and covered up. Lookwhat socialism has done to our education of children, public schools, and the little tyrants brag of their successes there. Changing America from energy independent to now heavily dependent of Communist/muslim oil, enriching them, impoverishing -weakening us. As Nazi socialist Geo Soros openly stated, he owns the American democrat party....and they so act like it!.

343 During 2020 and 2021, there were a bunch of people in the Trump campaign and administration who were "unmasked" by Democrats querying recordings. Does anyone remember those names? Was one of them Flynn?

There may be terrorists or criminals in the US coordinating with foreign people so the Intelligence community has a mission to monitor communications between foreign and domestic people - this would be NSA, not CIA but no matter - text, email, and phones. It would be unreasonable and silly to record only the foreign side of those conversations. A problem arises when administration political people can unmask people, the definition of terrorist and criminal becomes "those people on the other side of the aisle". A rubber stamp FISA court is the key to secret recordings.
