Durham: Hillary Clinton's Campaign Paid "Tech Executive 1" to "Infiltrate" the Computers at Trump Towers and The White House to Spy on Trump When He Was the President

Late Friday, there was a bombshell filing from special counsel John Durham. Remember him? The filing reveals that "lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to 'infiltrate' servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an 'inference' and 'narrative' to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham says." At the White House?!?!? Spying on the White House...WTF?
The latest filing deals with former Clinton campaign official Michael Sussman who has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent. He has pleaded not guilty.
...
Durham's filing states:

the government will establish that among the Internet data Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited was domain name system (DNS) internet traffic pertaining to "(i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump's Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP)."
According to Conservative Tree House, the Tech Executive-1 is Rodney Joffe who worked with a federal cyber contractor called Neustar. You can read more details about the filing over at Technofog's Substack.

Here's more from Technofog:

Joffe and his associates obtained the information because they had "come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the Executive Office of the President." They then manipulated this information to further a conspiracy theory that Trump and those in Trump's orbit were continuing their secret backchannels with the Russians.
This was repackaged with the Alfa Bank hoax and given to Sussmann, who then laundered it to the CIA on February 9, 2017. (Apparently Sussmann was done dealing with the FBI.) Sussmann alleged to the CIA that the data showed "that Trump and/or his associates were using supposedly rare, Russian-made wireless phones in the vicinity of the White House and other locations." Durham "identified no support for these allegations."
One can't help ask why Joffe (via Sussmann) risked legal exposure to continue to push false Trump-Russia allegations before and after the 2016 election. First to the FBI in 2016 then to the CIA in 2017. It seems that Joffe was desperate, and his desperation only increased after Trump's election.

Bonchie thinks he knows why this spying/hacking/framing campaign went on after the election: Hillary Clinton was attempting to frame Trump for treason with Russia, so that a combination of Congress and the Supreme Court would literally cancel the 2016 election retroactively and pronounce her President as she desired above all other things.

Remember, hardcore bitter-end Hillary loyalist and idiot Sally Kohn was scheming about just this sort of scenario from a month into Trump's presidency -- all due to the faked-up bullshit of the Hillary Clinton disinformation campaign.

Currently the neoliberal/neocon NeverTrumpers are crying about Trump trying to "overturn an election" and "direct a coup."

But here is evidence Hillary Clinton -- the candidate NeverTrump supported in 2016 -- actually ran a coup attempt herself, and drafted elements of the FBI and CIA to help her execute it.

And where is NeverTrump? Where is, for example, AllahPundit, who fanatically "claims" all Trump stories except for ones like this that hurt his fee-fees? (By the way, the answer to the eternal "John Sexton or Karen Townsend?" question this time is Karen Townsend.)

We can tell how much David Frum, Bill Kristol, David French, and all the rest of the NeverTrumpers care about coups by how absolutely silent they are about the coup attempt executed by their 2016 candidate. (And substantially aided by their 2020 candidate, Joe Biden, who was part of those Oval Office discussions about how best to weaponize the nonsense Clinton Dossier against incoming President Trump. It was Biden who proposed using the Logan Act, for example, as a pretext to open a criminal investigation into Trump's intended National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn.)

Joe Rogan is bigger than CNN. No idea what AOSHQ gets in direct views, but the indirect ripple of reposting and reblogging means this smart military blog has a lot of impact. It's wrong for at least two reasons.
1. DNS resolution for the office of the POTUS was specifically contracted out to a company that was vetted to handle sensitive information. They weren't using Google's public, free DNS servers.
2. All sorts of things the executive office of the POTUS does are classified, even things that are normally no big deal to know about normal people.

Even if I'm wrong, and little or nothing comes of this, the damage done to at least some of the players will likely be pretty severe. That's why this latest filing was made. Durham is trying to get some of the lawyers dismissed because they have conflicts before the trial dates are set.

You guys really need to get comfortable with the fact that Durham is investigating a huge conspiracy with people with access to some of the top lawyers in the country fighting back and they do not want to cooperate. It will always take longer than we want.

But in the meantime we can be happy that the process is the punishment. I was told that repeatedly when Mueller was investigating. Doesn't that apply here too?

I think we did. I remember starting a meme back then that went "the Trump campaign, then the transition, then the White House itself" that got picked up and used by others eventually. I don't remember the factual revelation it was based on, but I'm pretty sure we knew the spying was still going on after the Inauguration. Maybe even from Comey's testimony?

Note also that this particular revelation can't have covered more than a couple of weeks after the Inauguration with respect to the White House, if Sussman took it to the CIA on February 9.

I could be wrong, but I think Durham is doing his grand jury work in the Eastern District of Virginia and presumably will bring prosecutions there. You still have problem that Hillary (or whoever -- I don't think she'll ever be indicted) only has to have one die-hard Democrat on the jury, which is not hard to do, but it's not as bad as DC.

In a way, given that she started her career on the Watergate committee staff, being named as an unindicted co-conspirator would be poetic justice.

Best analysis I've heard is that Putin's goal is to fragment or 'federate' Ukraine. That way he can scoop up Eastern states which are heavy with Russian immigrants, while the western anti-Russian states aren't unified.

Putin also has more than one goal. This is also a dandy way of fragmenting NATO for future fuckery and a way to shove back the US from meddling in Russian's buffer states, like Kazakistan.

I think the pace will start to accelerate soon. I don't know exactly when but I suspect the Spring and Summer will see more indictments.

Durham is prosecuting a criminal conspiracy that involves many players. Some his probably trying to flip or get some level of cooperation so he isn't going to drop everything at once.

He's currently fighting to get some of the lawyers removed because they represent more than one person involved in the conspiracy and wants them to not be able to share evidence or other prosecution tactics. But at some point he will start to run up against the statute of limitations so he can't wait too long.

I'm not going to slag Nixon over opening up relations with China. Obviously, in the long-term it wasn't a great move, but at the time Nixon was worried that China and the USSR would align against the USA. Opening relations with China would interfere with that plan, and I see that as a good Cold War strategy. In that case, I would blame Clinton far more than Nixon. Granting China MFN status, rather, was the beginning of the end for us.

If the trucks still had their wheels, there's a lot of construction equipment that would work as well. The moment they drop the trucks onto their frames, you'd need some serious metal and cranes to clean it up, hence the ARVs.

Plus, dragging them off while wheel-less would destroy the road, and probably significantly weaken any bridge or overpass that they drag truck carcasses over.

Read Nixon's different biographies. Steven Ambrose, Tom Wicker, and Conrad Black among others. Nixon had little personal charisma and relied on outworking and out thinking his competitors. Despite his origins, he did not have a common touch as a politician. Ike, for one, despised Nixon and when asked shortly before 1960 election what had Nixon accomplished as VP, Ike replied, "If you give me a week, I might think of one."

Nixon got the presidential nod in 68 by outflanking his enemies in the party and doing hard work supporting rank and file GOP candidates in 64 and 66 for fundraising after his gubernatorial loss in CA.

Just FYI, the reason Durham filed the disqualification motion is to legally cutoff Sussman's later ability (if convicted) to claim inadequate representation by counsel. Durham isn't even asking that Latham be disqualified. Durham asked the Judge to require Sussman to engage new counsel (at least temporarily) to advise Sussman about potential conflicts of interest with Latham, and then Durham wants Sussman to waive that conflict expressly on the record in this case, which should prevent Sussman from later claiming his counsel had a conflict, therefore he deserves a new trial.

This is legit a good sign that Durham is taking the steps necessary to "harden" his prosecution of Sussman, by eliminating Sussman's strictly legal challenges about unfair process.
