Quinnipiac Poll: Biden Crashes All the Way Through The Floor, Hits Lows Not Thought Possible-- 33% Support
Because 38% of the country is lockstep straight-ticket Democrat, one would think that 38% or so would be the absolute rock-bottom level of support for a Democrat president.
The Q-poll had Brandon at 36% last time. It was thought then he could only go up from there. Nope. Let's Go Brandon, indeed.
And this is from the very, very left-leaning Quinnipiac, as reported by the "Let's Add the P" Groomer Advocacy Newsletter USAToday.

Ten percent did not offer an opinion.That means they also disapprove but are dyed-in-the-wool leftwingers who don't want to add to the negative ratings.
The poll found wavering support among Biden's own party, with 75% of Democrats approving of Biden's job performance and 14% of Democrats disapproving. More than half of political independents, 57%, said they disapprove of Biden's job performance, while just 25%in that crucial voting bloc said they approve. Biden is getting virtually no crossover support from Republicans, with 95% saying they disapprove of his job and 2% approving.That 2%? For most of his presidency, Biden's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic had been his top polling strength. It's also why I find the whole thing so hilarious now. It wasn't Republicans who denied him the easiest layup of a massive political victory in the modern era, it was his own base that refused to let go.

Tester is the biggest mystery in American politics to me. I can understand winning the first time by pretending to be a centrist, moderate Dem. But he got re-elected TWICE as someone who voted 100% of the time with Obama and 100% against Trump. How do you do that and win 2 re-elections in fucking Montana?
And yes, Montana has trended more liberal as California locusts started invading. But still it is a pretty red state overall. Trump easily won it twice. And then they turn around and vote for Tester?

I've run into people like this as well. Trying to split the power in government isn't completely ridiculous - but you have to understand the state of congress and the president.
I remember in 2008 exit polling found that most D voters thought the Republicans controlled congress AND a major reason for the vote was to throw the bums out. And this is the idiocy we have to deal with.
We should have a simple test to vote: Name the President, the Speaker of the House, Majority leader in the Senate, all of your current representatives AND at least one SC judge or...no voting.

Trump has said that. I don't take what Trump says on faith. He's a politician, and he's not really a conservative of long-standing, let alone a small-government guy. Yes, that YUGE bloated balance sheet is the hard place to the rock of inflation. If they start raising rates, that can start a cascade, which will lower the price of all those bonds. That is the market starts bidding up rates itself, at rapid pace.
At that point, the Fed will have truly lost control, and suffer balance sheet "loss". That is what they fear.
If they made some panic move to try to stop that, the markets would see the "FED IS PANICKING!!!" and everything would shit the bed.

Sweden announced Wednesday it had earmarked some 6 billion kronor ($661 million) for a temporary scheme to help the most affected households across the Scandinavian country to cope with high electricity bills this winter.
