Flashback to the last time:

My problem is not with telling people to get vaccinated. My problem is forcing people to get vaccinated, especially on the pretext that "we have to force you to get vaccinated to keep your from spreading it to other people," when the vaccine does not keep one from getting infected or spreading it to other people.

The government is depriving people of their rights because Joe Biden is having trouble fulfilling a stupid, cynical campaign promise to "shut down the virus."

And for no other reason. No health reason. No legitimate policy reason.

Just to help his poor approval rating.

On to Fauci's latest Political Hackery clothed in some shabby scraps he calls "Science:"

“Dr. Fauci, as you advise the president about the possibility of new testing requirements for people coming into this country, does that include everybody?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked.
“The answer is yes,” Fauci responded. “Because you know that the new, the new regulation, if you want to call it that, is that anybody and everybody who’s coming into the country needs to get a test within 24 hours of getting on the plane to come here.”
“But what about people who don’t take a plane and just these border crossers coming in huge numbers?” Doocy pressed.
“That’s a different issue,” Fauci answered. “For example, when you talk, we still have Title 42 with regard to protection at the border. So there are protections at the border that you don’t have the capability as you know, of somebody getting on a plane getting checked, looking at a passport, we don’t have that there, but we can get some degree of mitigation.”

Does Fauci seem less like a Scientist and more like a Democrat Political Hack telling us that The Science requires that illegal aliens be permitted to enter the country without restriction?

Well so it seems to a former colleague.

A couple of days ago, the former Assistant Health Secretary Brett Giroir, himself a doctor, blasted Fauci as being increasingly political, no longer being a scientist, and being consumed by ego and hubris.

President Trump's Assistant Health Secretary has blasted Anthony Fauci for what he claims is an exploding ego -- and warned the nation's most powerful doctor to stay out of politics.
Speaking on Fox News on Monday, Admiral Brett Giroir, himself a trained physician, said that he had witnessed a significant change in Fauci's behavior in the ten months since he last worked with the nation's top doctor.
'I think the ego is really expanding beyond what I saw,' Giroir began.
'Look, Tony was a good colleague when I worked with him but he's become much more politician and it is a fact that the NIH his institute funded gain of function research. That's a fact, it's not a rumor or a lie by anyone in the Senate so why do you say that's a problem?'

On that, here's Anthony "I am Science" Fauci's best buddy and frequent grant recipient Peter Daszak boasting in 2016 of manipulating the spike proteins of animal viruses -- like bat viruses, which are oddly similar to human viruses -- to make them infectious to humans.

Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, says at History and Future of Pandemics, New York Academy of Medicine, "You create pseudo particles, you insert the spike proteins from those viruses that bind to human cells, and each step of this, you move closer and closer to this virus that could become pathogenic to people. It ends up with a small number of viruses that really do look like killers."

Huh, weird. It's almost as if that's exactly what happened in Wuhan.

Note how very boastful they were about this before they unleashed covid on the world. Now they claim they weren't doing it!

But Giroir wasn't done when it came to criticism of doctor Fauci and advised the doctor to stick to health issues and avoid stepping into politics.
'You know, I think he needs to stick to the area where he is most knowledgeable, and that is about vaccine development. He's not knowledgeable about liberty or rights, or public health measures, if he sticks to his firm ground he'll be a good resource for the country, and that's probably all I have to say,' Giroir directed.
The former Assistant Health Secretary made the suggestion after a glut of Republican Senators lashed out at Fauci after he pronounced himself 'the science' and 'the epitome of knowledge.' He also referred to himself in the third person, sparking further accusations of ego-driven behavior.

While declaring, “I represent science,” Fauci humbly graded the scientific approach to the pandemic an “A+” while incongruently warning about a “fifth wave” of the virus and explaining away one scientific stumble after another, from useless temperature checks to the need for bi-annual booster shots and randomly claiming the virus spread is “40 to 50 to 60 percent . . . asymptomatic.”

Of all his alarming remarks, however, Fauci’s push to get experimental vaccines for babies and young children to market as quickly as possible is the most depraved. When asked by Brennan, who has spent the better part of two years asking Fauci how to run her life and the lives of 330 million Americans, when he expects vaccines for children between the age of six months and five years to be available, Fauci said he hopes the shots are ready by the beginning of next year. “I would hope it would be in the first quarter because the studies are being done right now on children from two to five and then from six months to two years,” Fauci told Brennan. “I don’t think there’s going to be an issue with efficacy. But when you’re dealing with children, it’s a very sensitive area. And that’s the reason why [it] may take a little bit longer.”
When parents question whether it’s necessary to vaccinate children, Fauci replies that, “yeah, we do want to be vaccinating the children because we want to vaccinate and protect everyone in society, including children.”
Now, that is not the conclusion of a sound man of science, as Fauci again insisted he is in the interview, or even a man of common sense and humanity—that is the raving of a madman.
Only a demon would propose injecting a child, including babies who cannot yet even walk or talk, with a rushed “vaccine” to allegedly minimize a virus that poses no serious health threat to them. Only a sociopath would dismiss parental fears about not just the medical necessity of the shot for the child but also unknown side effects that their children could suffer in both the near and long term. And only a sadist would continue to promote his own destructive policies that have inflicted incalculable human suffering but done nothing to halt the spread of a virus that is lethal to only a tiny percentage of the population.
In a just world, Anthony Fauci would be giving lengthy television interviews clad in an orange jumpsuit from the confines of a federal penitentiary. Aside from his crimes against humanity, especially the tragic toll on senior citizens and young people, Fauci has clearly committed a number of crimes including lying to Congress and the American people in his official capacity and misappropriating federal funds on ghoulish scientific experiments.

There was nothing in the law or regulatory body that permitted the US government to universally and unilaterally modify all contracts to mandate that employees at contractors be vaccinated. They did it with an EO rather than a law, but they changed it.

Why is it that there is no problem with changing the rules for "public health" reasons - even illegally like they did with the EOs - when it comes to contractor vaccination, but there is no "public health" reason to change the rules for illegal border crossers? Why are unvaccinated federal contractors a "public health" concern, but unvaccinated and unknown border jumpers are *not* a "public health" concern? Why do legal distinctions matter for one and not the other?

I suspect that the real problem with a lot of things is that there's *no* *one* actually in charge of anything at the top. That's really how we know we've hit socialism at full stride. Everything and everyone is a bureaucrat. All of them are individual entities with no idea what the other is doing, and no power to do anything outside of their own purview. You work your way up the chain in one place filling out satisfying their requests to jump through hoops, finally getting to the person that tells you sorry! You're in the wrong place, go over there and start over. And soon enough, this sort of mentality will trickle down to the average person, who will do what is expected of them, and absolutely no more. Dude I know in AZ was in a pretty serious accident with an illegal who was drunk and had no insurance. Nothing happened to the illegal. Not so much as a ticket even, which of course he wouldn't pay. The dude I know needed months of physical therapy to get back to normal.

On the other hand I have a friend who got a DUI for being just slightly over the limit. It cost him about $4K in legal fees and took almost a year to finally get to court where he pled guilty and got 100 hours of community service, plus he had to have one of those breatherlizer thingies to start his car. And on top of that, he was forbidden from driving anywhere except to work and to attend his community service for 6 months. And he lives somewhere that has virtually no public transportation, meaning we was basically under house arrest outside of work.

That is America today.

Yep, I just went down to Santa Barbara and then Anaheim last month. SB was super masked from what I saw, and Anaheim/Orange not at all. Not restaurants, not stores, and certainly not the exhibition I was at (a few random people and of course, 90% of the Asians - who were wearing masks 10 years ago). Although my hotel was a stones throw from Disneyland, it appeared all the families on the street were masked up.

Up here in the bay area, they're required. They're not quite as insane about it as last year, but most large retailers still have somebody standing watch at the entrance.

Well, I think if you asked them, most would say that it's either about (a) reducing the spread of the virus; or (b) reducing the likelihood of severe illness.

(a) could perhaps justify mandates if the vaccine reduced spread as effectively as with (for example) measles. And you still hear people arguing along those lines, although not as much as you used to. I think everybody has now heard of too many breakthrough cases to take it seriously.

(b) may be true, but it is a stretch to use it to justify the policies they want. You have to argue the way they did in Greece that mandates are justified in order to conserve hospital resources.

Not where I live. Every restaurant is packed to the gills on weekends. And even weekdays, while you can still get a table without a long wait, it's pretty busy. There's this one joint - that I don't think is all that great but it has the rep - where you need to book out a week in advance to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night.

Yeah DJIA was down 450 points today. But it's not 1985 where 450 points meant a 25% crash. 450 out of 35K is barely a blip.

S&P500 is up 22% for the year. Wall St bonuses are set to be the highest since the 2008 crash.

I looked into this. Some Nordic country followed the percentage of miscarriages across a twenty plus year period, with about a million data points. Fourteen percent seemed to be the average. Covid or the vax doesn't seem to be making things worse.

But still, if I was female, of childbearing age, I'd be careful as hell.

Re the UK all-cause mortality in vaxxed vs unvaxxed running about 2x. Turns out there was a bit of Simpson Paradox confounding going on there. The vaxxed skew much older, and the older having higher mortality anyway.

You can adjust for that, if you know what you're doing, and it takes a lot of work. Matthew Crawford did that, here:

Result it's a wash. There is really no difference in all-cause mortality between vaxxed and unvaxxed. Which, incidentally, means the vaccine offers no benefit at all.

Any info on COVID or the vaccines that doesn't control for age is pretty much useless. The chart that Alex Berenson had on this was for Brits ages 10-59. It would make sense to me if both deaths from unrelated causes (heart disease, cancer) and vaccinations were much higher at the top of the age range.

And that cohort is the "single-jabbed". These are the people who got their first shot, and mostly likely had a bad reaction and said hell no to another. All-cause mortality is much higher with that group.

Not really. Good quality data has been kept since day 1. Just for example, here in California, we have CalConnect to provide a centralized hub state-wide for Covid data. My little rural county has dozens of tracers inputting data. It has everything. And the reporting is amazing.

I provide tech support for a local Public Health Department, is how I know. And it's how I know that the day our CEO's office received our first report from CalConnect all the way back in April, our director received a VERY hostile call from the CEO's office that "The reporting did not reflect the narrative that the local government wanted to convey to our population."

As a result, the CalConnect portal was re-tooled to allow data exports in Microsoft Excel format so that local governments could massage the data to meet their needs.

I could go on. But I'm already angry enough. This entire sham is a hoax. it's all a lie. A monstrous lie.

Some of the cars they can just shut off because dimwits get that as a 'security option.' Some they can fine and nail with traffic cams. By the same token, by saying there is no data to indicate that the vaccine causes a higher level of miscarriage then some long term study involving a million women in a Nordic country, I'm absolutely NOT discounting the possibility that American women are not jumping on some government website and immediately spending an hour reporting their personal experience post vaccine.

My neighbor across the street had a miscarriage recently. Being of the male persuasion I don't know what to say and will leave it to the wife.

Wouldn't 1 injection also be subject to statistical anomalies because dying would always cause not being able to get another shot. There should be a heavy correlation and covariance between dying and only getting one shot. You would have to account for that in the statistics.

In other words, its assuming you're right without defending or proving you're right.

I have absolutely no ax to grind in this. All I can report is my research which is probably six to eight hours a day. It's pretty amazing that 'official' reports of miscarriage mirror a long term study. But that's the nature of where we live circa 2021. Who can tell who is 'massaging' the data to EXACTLY fit?

In my 'hood... One next neighbor died of a brain aneurysm after contracting covid. The entire family sickened but recovered. The man who died, his wife got the vaccine in order to enter an assisted living facility and died within a few months.

The Doctor across the street contracted covid and recovered. His wife had a miscarriage. All data points. But to what? My anecdotal points somewhere really bad. Finding the actual truth anymore is nearly impossible.
