15 Also today, I need to box and wrap Miss Linda's birthday presents: a box of petit fours from Swiss Colony, and an Irish wool sweater from eBay. The former is already boxed, of course. I picked up a couple of the collapsible folding boxes you can get at Dollar Tree, but I don't know if the sweater will fit into them.

There's a real (read: mostly cigars) tobacco shop in the 'burbs near Chekov's vet. Maybe I'll stop by and see what pipe tobaccos they have. Their website mentions pipes and pipe tobaccos, but gives no details.

Unless turquoise shirt dude was pulling a gun, in my opinion it's not a justified shooting. Black shirt dude retreats about 15 feet and then fires two shots. It's going to be hard to claim self-defense. Especially since he was the dumb-a$$ that escalated the situation by coming out of the house with a firearm.

Butler, dietitian, nurse, housekeeper, you name it. Chekov or Tubby, as I call him (he's a Siberian and they are usually kind of barrel-bodied), is 14 and has developed what the vet thinks is arthritis. All of his lab numbers are pretty normal, they say. So he's on an anti-inflammatory and a nerve pain topical paste. The prednisone really seems to make a difference.

He liked it a lot.

Tonight we're going to the Sausage Supper at his church. He spent Wednesday tying off sausage links and is still stove up from working at a low table.

In my case ? Indiana - a castle doctrine state. Lethal force is authorized by law to prevent bodily harm to one's self or others, as well as the defense of one's home, vehicle, or property - as well as to stop a forcible felony - or the defense of a relative's property or third party when previously authorized.

Indiana is by no means the only castle doctrine state. Blue shirt guy had already attacked black shirt guy. I doubt there is a requirement to retreat in Texas - the fact that black shirt guy backed up to get a better shot means nothing.

It'll go to a jury, I imagine. You seem to be trying to read into the situation a requirement to retreat, where I doubt one exists. If it doesn't in Indiana - I doubt it does in Texas.

Where I disagree with you is the fact that the guy in the black shirt [did] retreat. If he had blasted the guy in the turquois shirt when he grabbed the gun barrel, different story. There's an immenent threat at that point.

Retreating to get a better shot changes the dynamic. It will almost certainly go to a Grand Jury; whatever they decide will determine black shirt's fate. We've got a few seconds of recording -- the police will get more data.

96 Retreating to get a better shot changes the dynamic. It will almost certainly go to a Grand Jury; whatever they decide will determine black shirt's fate. We've got a few seconds of recording -- the police will get more data.

I'd say black shirt guy will get indicted, then either hung jury or acquitted. There's letter of the law - and then whatever a jury decides. I doubt they find twelve guilty votes in a Texas jury.

His lawyer needs to play up the need to defend the woman against imminent attack, then fear that blue shirt guy would charge again - since he already had once. Blue shirt guy was crazy - he attacked a man with a gun, and that gun wasn't even pointed at him. Blue shirt guy was out of control.

That's how I'd play it, anyway.

97 So Fairfax County is returning the (temporarily removed) gay and pedo porno books to its pubic school library shelves, because they're "diverse" and some kids can relate to the experiences depicted in the book (like having an adult man stick his penis in a boy's mouth). Meanwhile, in Canada, schools are banning a book by a woman who was kidnapped by ISIS and tortured and raped, because the content of the woman's book may be offensive to Muslims and may cause islamophobia.

LOL, apparently some sensibilities are more privileged and entitled to protection than others. Imagine that.

They figured out all of this in something like 48 hours. Then some reporter insinuated that HIV was somehow involved - which has now been denied by the health authorities in Botswana. I think this needs at least another 48 hours to become clearer.

But I do know I have my order for ivermectin sitting in the check out cart of my offshore supplier.

Yes, but the thing the virologists warned about is vaccinating in the midst of a pandemic. The four individuals in Botswana already had the vaccine, so now the variant is possibly even stronger/more efficient against those already vaccinated.

Most of the time virus become weaker over time. Which was the logic behind waiting it out.

Again as has been said, virology and epidemiology no longer exist.

Viruses as they circulate through populations tend to attenuate, they may become more infectious but usually do not become more virulent.

There are hundreds of different strains and types of "common cold" and 100 plus subtypes of influenza viruses, this is madness, evil and mass psychosis.

If it was as deadly as they believe the rutabaga wouldn't restrict travel, he needs it here and needs it to spread so that he could then look presidential fighting it. He won the presidency through the rot panic and cheating and he needs the rot and a show of fighting it to help boost his failing popularity. Of course he may realize that even this will not work since reviving his popularity is like giving life support to a 3 week dead corpse. So a show of blocking it from entering the country instead.
You know I truly believe that neither scenario will work. Yes, there are some truly disturbed people that believe they can cheat death by masking, vaxx, etc but most want lower gas and food prices.

I wonder how they're going to "negotiate" with the herd of cats known as truckers.

262 The USPS has a pretty good union. Plus they hold hostage a significant percentage of the mail and package delivery. As for Congress... *types, deletes*

Posted by: Martini Farmer at November 27, 2021 08:57 AM

Plus I speculate that the USPS had employees involved with helping with mail-in ballots and stealing the 2020 election. So this is their reward for helping usher in the current regime.

263 * Flights will never resume. That's part of the plan to reduce the carbon footprint of you proles. The airline industry will be one more casualty of the agenda.

Plus, they get in the way of Gates', Gore's, and Kerry's private flights.

267 The Omicron variant has more than 30 mutations. As Zod would say "Gloriously mutated".

It's almost as if some state actor bred a new virus, and released it in an unrelated third country to continue global chaos.

Who could possibly do such a thing? Who would benefit?

271 Ohio State At Michigan today. Always rowdy. I hope for the mother of all FJB chants today, along with a few choice words directed at Governor Witless.

Always look forward to this game. After moving to SE Michigan in 1999, I quickly learned of the arrogance and boorishness of Michigan football fans, as they treated me like garbage after finding out I was a Purdue grad. I got so sick of their shit, I became an Ohio State football fan and have relished their dominance over Michigan the past 22 years.

273 So, are we all getting ready for Christmas Week, when China invades Taiwan, Russia invades Ukraine, and Iran nukes Saudi Arabia, all at the same time?

Joe Biden is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our adversaries, after all.

If it was a mistake, then the mistake was that you thought they would act rationally. In fact, their continued lockdowns and enforce mania is completely insane - they are destroying everything they sought to gain; the economy they wanted to control, their base of support, even the country itself.
Many look at this and think "aha, China is behind it!" and while that may be partially true, I've also seen (as have many of you) how a self destructive insanity can set in to a person and lead them to destroy themselves. I believe we're seeing that happen to an entire political movement which holds most of this countries leadership. They're locked into it and no longer have the ability to break out of it.
For our own survival, we now have no choice left but to overthrow and destroy them, no matter the cost.

277 They've skipped from the Nu to the Omicron variant. The letter missed? XI. Is that because they are ALL the XI variant?
