National School Board Association Changed Language In Its "Domestic Terrorism" Letter At White House's Suggestion, FOIA'd Emails Reveal

Garcia and Chip Slaven, an NSBA executive, altered the text of the letter to satisfy the curiosity of White House staff. "In talks over the last several weeks with White House staff, they requested additional information on some of the specific threats, so the letter also details many of the incidents that have been occurring," Slaven wrote in a September 29, 2021, email to the NSBA board of directors.But the tweets are still nice.

Hmm. So someone outside the formal government directs information to someone inside the formal government for the purposes of creating a justification for the government to target an opponent. The contacts inside the formal government need a different level of specificity or adjustment to the information, so they communicate back to the actors outside the formal government to rework the content. The external actors then resubmit a new version or addendum to the internal actors, thus creating a synthetic basis for actions.
Besides being tyrannical, it seems like I've heard this story before. When was that? OH YEAH! Spygate. It's essentially the same play, just a lot less convoluted. But now, just like the O'Keefe raid and destruction of confidentiality, it's moving down-market. Instead of targeting the president, now they're targeting normal citizens with the same false construction schemes.

This is the same kind of op other federal agencies have been engaging in with activist organization - the sue then settle game. For example, eco-activists work with friendlies at EPA to sue them for not upholding some environmental protection, the EPA then settles rather than going to court, and as a result they are "forced" to implement what the activists (and EPA insiders) wanted as part of the settlement.
Here they work with the DoJ to craft a demand that the DoJ protect them, and then the DoJ pretends to be compelled to do it in response.

I've said this before but I'm digging this inflation. My cost to buy "stuff" is more than made up by the increase in the value of my assets. Since Biden took over stocks are up around 20%, real estate (for me as this is all local) is up at least 20% as well, maybe more. I own a lot of stocks and real estate. So yeah I'll happily pay 40 cents more for gas and $2 for a hamburger, if my assets grow 20%.

This is the kind of thing that made me delete all my social media a few years ago. Went on a vacation to Nashville, came home and started getting FB messages from some furniture store there. Figured out they were by the bus stop we used each day, and their wifi must have captured us. Week later, on the phone with the same person I was in Nashville with. She made a joke about a surgical procedure I'd never heard of. Hung up phone, got online, and first five ads I saw were for that procedure.
The only way to have actual privacy is to delete your social media, throw your phone onto an eastbound coal train, and start walking west.

The only concern I have about the jury is how good the DA's office is or isn't at jury selection. If they're good at it, their case could be "we have no evidence and also Kyle didn't do it. It doesn't quite work that way. Caselaw is clear that if a jury bases its deliberations on something other than the facts and law, that juror can be thrown off. Then an alternate is placed and jury deliberations start from scratch.
Think the pool was 17 or 18 and the actual deliberating jury will be picked randomly for deliberations. The extras are incase of jury misconduct, emergencies, etc.

Another flag went up today when the judge's phone rang for the second time. Since the left went berserk the first time and the right swooped in to defend him, a second time really looked like a "see? I'm really on your side guys, swearsies!" ploy.
If the judge really were seriously pissed for the reasons he stated, he'd have pulled the plug. Instead, it was a warning not to blow it. Just don't have a good gut feeling on this one at all.

I remember a Moron recently providing a link to a gov't site that compared energy outputs for different fuel types. I found that very, very interesting.
To get a regular combustion-engine car 300 miles of range, you put about 14 gallons of gasoline in, which weighs around 100 lbs., I guess. That same range requires about a half-ton of LiON batteries in a similar-sized car.
This, from my ignorant perspective, is huge. If you can't get battery tech to approach the power density contained in hydrocarbon fuel, I don't understand how this can become popular enough to get the average person to replace their car - not to mention the spontaneous combustion that can take place with the LiON batteries. That's also including the infrastructure issues that have been brought up before.

It's very simple - you make every motor vehicle electric, and make every building all-electric, which roughly doubles the demand for electricity.
At the same time, you close all the fossil fuel and nuclear plants, and replace them all with unreliable renewable resources, with maybe a couple of hours of incredibly expensive battery backup.
We use wartime analogies in talking about this, because you'll need a very big army to deal with the inevitable rebellions, as you plunge all but a small elite group of people in the United States into grinding poverty.

That is easier to do on civil juries because you only need a plurality. On criminal with unknown actual pool of jurors, it gets a lot harder because all it takes is one juror to get a mistrial for defense.
Jury consultants make the big bux on civil cases--criminal cases are tougher. Know a few local firms and they make their bread and butter from civil lawsuits.

At the same time, you close all the fossil fuel and nuclear plants, and replace them all with unreliable renewable resources, with maybe a couple of hours of incredibly expensive battery backup.
We use wartime analogies in talking about this, because you'll need a very big army to deal with the inevitable rebellions, as you plunge all but a small elite group of people in the United States into grinding poverty.

No, jury consultants take a local poll of residents, not specifically the jury pool as that would not be permitted. Not sure whether the poll screened for ability to even participate on the jury--no felonies, Wisconsin citizen, etc. The problem with local surveys is believe it or not, it is actually more difficult to get a representative sample than in a national survey. Very costly due to non-response bias.
Given the riots in Kenosha, would you answer a phone poll by an unknown group as to whether Kyle was innocent or guilty?

40 years ago, the US led the WORLD in chip production of all sorts. We licensed off all the technology to the Japanese first, to "recover" those investments. Turned out to be pretty short sighted, after all.
Intel, to be sure, still makes their big processor parts in the US. But all the other parts are made elsewhere (primarily Taiwan and S. Korea).
Even Japan farmed out a lot of that, because it was labor intensive and expensive to make.
We could recover a lot of that capacity, but I doubt it happens. Motorola and TI used to make TONS of that stuff.
