The Youngkin team got an emergency directive sent out telling Democrat poll officers that masks were not mandatory -- as if they already didn't know that.

But how many thousands of Republican voters did they already turn away? Voters unlikely to come back on rainy, cold day?

Screenshot (701).png

Terry McAuliffe, who lost about, what, a 12 or 15 point lead due to his claim that teachers should have sole authority over what children learn, had a curious speaker for his final argument in his last speech to voters: Randy Weingartner, the woman responsible for shutting down the country's schools (in blue states, at least) for two years.

finalargumentweingartner2.png

Similarly, McAuliffe sent out his surrogate -- repulsive partisan Larry Sabato, who used to pretend to be an objective academic -- to claim there's no such thing as critical race theory being taught in schools, and that the only thing that parents are responding to is "race," because they're white supremacists engaging in "white backlash, white resistance."

This is an actual McAuliffe surrogate -- he campaigned for McAuliffe in August.

And this is the message he's taking to market.

As you probably know, Terry McAuliffe's entire campaign consisted of two claims: that Glenn Youngkin was an "anti-vaxer" for opposing mandates, and that he was a Trump clone.

In fact, in his closing speech of the campaign, McAuliffe straight-up, no-wiggle-room lied and claimed that Youngkin's own closing rally was being held jointly with Trump. There isn't even some kind of "from a certain kind of view" argument for this one. Even the leftwing media admits it was an unmitigated lie.

But now the McAuliffe campaign thinks they've found the smoking gun of a secret communication between Youngkin and a computer in Trump Tower -- they can prove that before Youngkin took the stage, his stage managers played the Laura Brannigan song Gloria.

You know who else has played Gloria? That's right -- no, not Adolph Hitler, though you know he'd have loved to. Trump played it.

Q.E.D. -- that's Latin for Veni Vedi Vinci.

Greg Sargeant, one of the many indistinguished bloggers hired by the monolithically leftwing propaganda media because they hire only leftwingers, thinks he can explain a possible McAuliffe loss: See, it's because there's an "lopsided communications imbalance" between the two parties in their abilities to use the media to get their messages out.

He means Republicans enjoy an advantage on this front. You know, because Republicans control all the media.

Yahoo says they're all done accommodating themselves to the authoritarian, murderous Chinese Communist government-- but not after raking in millions and accommodating themselves for more than a decade, Mark Hemingway points out.

Mark Hemingway
@Heminator

In September 2005, Hunan journalist Shi Tao was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sending the Chinese Propaganda Department’s directives to a website that advocates democracy.

Specifically, it was a memo warning journalists not to publish anything relating to Chinese dissidents marking the 15th anniversary of Tiananmen Square.
Mark Hemingway

It emerged that Shi Tao had sent the directives using a Yahoo email address, and that Yahoo ceded to the demands of Chinese police and revealed his identity.

When Yahoo's CEO was asked about his company's complicity, he responded, "We respect the customs of the countries where we do business." Indeed, Yahoo's did a lot of business in China.

That's just one example.

We need Truth and Reconciliation Boards for companies and individuals doing business with the murderous tyrants of China.

Biden again blames Russia and OPEC for rising gas prices -- for not pumping more oil -- and refuses to concede that his own restrictions on US drilling has anything to do with the reduction of supply.

Yesterday, Joe Manchin became Mad Manchin and essentially declared he was done negotiating with AOC and that he would not support anything close to what was being negotiated.

And certainly not anytime soon. Not without going through it line by line. (The Democrat leadership seems to want people to just vote for the shell of a bill, the rough guestimates of what the bill will ultimately say.)

"To be clear, I will not support the reconciliation legislation without knowing how the bill would impact our debt and our economy and our country," Manchin said during a Monday press conference. "We won't know that until we work through the text."

...

"I'm open to supporting a final bill that helps move our country forward," Manchin said. "But I'm equally open to voting against a bill that hurts our country."

Actual principled conservative -- it's so weird to come across one -- Dan Bongino is out of work for the second week in protest of his syndicator Cumulus Radio's vaccine mandate. Bongino himself is already fully vaxed and is protesting in solidarity for those objecting to the vaccination.

Robert Barnes exposing all sorts of potential fuckery by Rittenhouse's defense team. He was promised info to assist in the defense, lined up a dream team of specialists to help with jury selection and defense tactics...all free of charge...and at the last minute, Rittenhouse's defense attorney shut them out. Coincidentally, right after Barnes raised concerns about the management of the funds raised for Rittenhouse's defense.

It's only a surprise that they didn't try to push through a small bill to re-up the SALT deduction day 1 of this Congress.

That they'd try to sneak it into an omnibus bill is more normal. That they'd try to sneak it into an omnibus bill that's pretty much doomed to die by this point is curious.

We need - a counter movement. LGB is a good start, but we need more.

The left has masks, vaccines, walkouts over 1/6, the obligatory "NTTAWWT" , the mandatory rainbow stuff, ... everyone constantly has to announce that they are either on the Left, or willing to comply

This is like the photos of "dear leader" in Nork homes and offices to announce that you are not a threat to the regime. "please don't hurt me."

We need to force them to comply to our ideology.
Announce "Trump Won" at every business. In every comment.
Or make them say the opposite of their woke message for your business.
Especially when dealing with companies that advertise their wokeness or try to force it on us.
We also need an "only two gender" flag to put on our bumpers and advertise out sanity.

You are conflating two things. Voters that vote blue and Blue Votes. If out of two million votes cast, three hundred thousand are fraudulent, even after one hundred thousand move out, there are now four hundred thousand possible fraudulent votes available next time.

Votes =/= voters. Fraud Maths should have told you this.

When you move out of a blue shit hole, your vote stays behind for the next twenty years of elections. You just lose control over how those votes will be cast.

It's somewhat complicated but it seems as Biden* put the screws to the frackers, the electricity suppliers noticed a huge increase in the cost of natural gas, and moved a shit-ton of coal back on their depleted piles, because cheaper. Manchin, from coal producing WV, and being the sort of Senator who just might GAF about constituents, thought that his peeps might just endure some sense of prosperity in their retched lives for a while. Which Biden's* plan would certainly short circuit.

I give him a C+ grade. If he jumps the fence that goes to an A-.

What will it take to get conservatives to finally fight? My husband is going to lose his job and my son is going to get kicked out of school because Biden is violating the Nuremberg Code. 290 religious exemption 2. Some folks have also used the gene changing aspect. "don't mess with god's creation of my body" I didn't use this, I'm not opposed on principle to gene therapy to treat diseases.

3. I stated I had a religious objection to the government making medical decisions for competent adults.

My work did ask me for more info/background.
a) describe the major tenants of your religion. Well Christian is easy, Christ died on the cross to absolve mankind sins, salvation comes from faith in him. Thats all I gave them.
b) what does your religion say about aborted cells in vaccines. I gave them Exodus 20:2-17 (6th commandment) and James 4:17.
c) not letting government dictate my med. dec. Matthew 6:24 (no one can serve 2 masters), 1st Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit" My body belongs to the Holy Spirit and not to the U.S. government and it is my responsibility to decide what constitutes proper care and reverence for that temple.

I used the internet to search for verses that backed up my stance. I was just emailed for more info. Your DH's doc should have done a med. exemption IMO.

I remember reading about a remote African tribe that was visited by British medical missionaries in the early part of the 20th century. They asked the tribesmen if they knew where disease came from and their shaman gravely and authoritatively told them that disease was caused by tiny demons that danced in a circle of light.

Sometime later it was determined that the tribe had in fact been visited by a German missionary team years before and that that team had shown them germs through a microscope and the tribe had just integrated that knowledge into their tribal mythology.

333 If people are first allowing themselves to be turned away over masks and THEN follow that up with "not coming back again because it's raining", then they're losers who deserve to lose.

And more importantly, they're not likely to be at all useful when the wheels really fall off. I mean, they're not even a sunshine "stand in line and pull lever-er", let alone a sunshine patriot.

I can't even successfully wrap my head around this level of stupid even though I understand it exists on an intellectual level. I just don't know what the fuck these people are thinking. Are they that unmotivated? Are they in a hurry to get back home to crack a beer and watch some sportsball? Is it simple laziness? What the hell is going on here?

334 @287

Given that I was talking about election fraud when I mentioned Prop 209, I'm not sure why judge shopping is involved.

The Left hates Prop 209 (bans discrimination by race - including affirmative action - in government institutions) here in California. There was a ballot proposition in the 2020 election that would have killed Prop 209. But that ballot proposition lost.

Ergo, there are still reasons to vote even here in California.

336 Said this afternoon I waltzed in with no intention of putting a mask on and no one said a word here in my little township in Pa

337 If you shoot your friend in the face, the hospital is going to make him wear a mask to get treated.

Don't worry about wearing a mask in court unless you're not me.

338 well QDP my work granted my exemption request after a threw a few bible verses at them. I'll guess that the feds have told them they need to make sure a religious exemption isn't just someone who just doesn't want to get jabbed and has never read a religious text in their life.

Oh and on my original request on the 'any extra information' section I told them that this was a firm conviction on my part, if the exemption was not granted I was fine with being terminated. Specialized field and I've been there over 25 years, so the org would have felt some pain if they fired me. I would have felt some pain too, but I'd have got by one way or another.

339 Uh, oh. There is a toilet at the Hampton Roads convention center that won't stop running. They have tried jiggling the handle, but it won't stop. Emergency plumbing services are on the way. I sure hope this doesn't turn into a flood and affect vote counting.

340 275 i thought "let it stand" was "stet"

Yes, "it stands," I think. Same in German... "steht" = "it stands."

pretty sure it's subjunctive, so "let it stand"; the same way that "fiat lux" is "let there be light".

Loundon County Public School (specifically the LCPS Equity Committee) amended the manual 'LCPS Culturally Responsible Framework' and inserted Culturally Responsible Instruction and Practices. And, there were other changes in wording and placement. As it appears to be a/the model public school district for VA.
Most public schools are messing with language and placement to disguise Equity, Diversity and Inclusion/CRT instruction.
