What is ironic about this is that this is exactly the message that "fiscal conservatives" told "social conservatives" for years as to why the GOP can't be focusing on silly stuff like abortion and "gay marriage" and LGBT anything, etc. What was deemed icky "social conservatism" was, and always has been, the culture war. Liquor laws don't treat teachers that way. When I said "custodian" I meant parent with parental rights. My parents used to take me to the bar when we went to visit my grandparents. Neighborhood bar at end of street. That was the only way I could get in. During summer while at grandma's, we had to go to the back door and knock to buy ice cream. We couldn't go in by ourselves.
I assume that is still the law in most places.

At some point, growing up became something to avoid. I definitely find popular culture to be part of that issue. At some point, it became easy to relive your childhood or have the childhood you wished for. You could buy figures etc. of cartoon characters you loved as a child, making it easy to stay in that bubble. I can't think of a single thing somebody born in the 30's or 40's could turn to that's similar.
I know far too many parents who want to be besties with their kids, not parents. It's so much easier to be a friend, and avoid being the bad parent. Alternately, there's the helicopter parents who in protecting their kids wind up being the cause of their issues. "Don't go outside! Here's your iPad, go sit in your room. We'll be back tonight. Don't forget to feed the cats."

I know two people that died "of Covid"; a mother and adult son. The older woman had a serious morbidity; a form of congestive heart failure prior to getting Covid. She was on oxygen prior to getting Covid. Her son was 42, over weight and had diabetes (6'8", over 300 lb); I think if he would have been treated with Ivermectin, he would have recovered. But no, the hospital had to intubate him, he got pneumonia, and had a cardiac arrest during a procedure. Clumsy and stupid hospitals, following protocol.

I think that already happened in Loudon County, Virginia. Monty Python is the nexus of this idea to me, where it makes the most sense.
John Cleese (or anyone else, I guess it was usually Terry Jones) dressing up as a woman was incongruous and absurd. The getup was so patently unconvincing, along with their weirdly elevated pitch for voices, that it was simply too absurd to begin to be taken seriously. It was a starting point for humor, usually poking fun at English manners in an elevated form, not the end point.

From what I understand, that happens under 10% and eating well and clean limits that even. But yes, the lower you go down under 10% the more likely to cause irregular periods.
15% to 20% is plenty healthy. You get above 20% and you are obese in most cases. The new normal is not healthy nor normal at all. Being obese and eating literal garbage and poisons while blasting hormonal birth control is way worse for that than maintaining a healthy weight between 15% and 20% body fat (minus the boobs weight in the body fat for obvious reasons).

We homeschooled. When our kids got to 11th grade we put them in a program called Running Start where they could go to college instead of HS. We had to register them at a local HS to qualify. The HS got full pay for my kids going there for the year even though they never set foot in the HS.

The only time in my entire school career that I ever went home early for sickness was when I got what was probably the Hong Kong Flu. The school office called my mother at home, then wrote me out a pass so I could go home on the bus. I was sick for 2 weeks, as it happened.

I've told this story here a zillion times, but a few years back some kid asked me for the time, and I said a quarter after 3. You'd think I was explaining internal combustion engines to my dog. Visit Carmel By The Sea, CA sometime. There's bowls of water outside of many shops, and any bar that won't accommodate a pooch in some way closed its doors ages ago. Super dog friendly place - the only restrictions are state health codes, which some still ignore.

A member of my writing group has a scene in a medieval-set story in which the hero rides his horse into an empty shop. There's no real reason for it, as I told him; the ceiling is probably way too low, and even if it isn't, a horse is one hell of a big animal and not very clean when it's indoors. Have your hero tie up the equine outside, then if you need him to push open a door, as happens in the story, go out and lead him in.
He's not a *bad* writer, more of a poet, but he doesn't think about the movements of his characters within rooms. He has a Kung Fu-style fight, 1 hero vs. 5 other guys, *inside* a peasant hut. Uh, no.

My initial premise was if you are Obese person like these fat men above, who have obviously been obese for more than a year, yes you should lose your damn Rights and Privileges until you can demonstrate that you can maintain a healthy body weight under 20% body fat for 3 years.
