Biden Stumbles into DC-Adjacent Virginia to Speak Incoherently to Sparse and Dejected Gathering

Joe Biden dipped his toe into the shallowest end of Virginia to campaign for McAuliffe. McAuliffe had previously kept the unpopular Brandon-backing Turnip away because he would harm McAuliffe's chances. But McAuliffe is so desperate now he asked Biden to come.

The crowds were... not crowded. McAuliffe claimed that "2,500" showed up. (A later post will note that McAuliffe has a bad habit of lying about numbers.)

Most think this looks like a hundred and fifty supporters --a hundred citizens, and fifty media types. Who are his real supporters.

Some Small Karen Energy there.

Biden lapsed into incoherence:

It's nice to see that both Terry McAuliffe and Joe Biden are both on the same page as regards Governor Blackface -- both previously called him racist and called upon him to resign.

Both now regard him as a "pal."

RNC Research
@RNCResearch

Two years after calling on Ralph Northam to resign when a photo surfaced of Northam in blackface, Biden calls him his "pal."

Note that Biden is being consistently heckled there -- meaning a significant fraction of the "crowd" gathered there was actually anti-Biden.

Youngkin released a hard hitting ad about Governor Coonman Blackface -- and noting McAuliffe now embracing him.

Two new polls (well, from this week) put the race at a dead-even tie. Emerson, the most accurate pollster in the 2013 Democrat race, finds the race tied, with a tiny edge to Youngkin:

Ryan James Girdusky
@RyanGirdusky

Oct 25
Emerson poll was the most accurate for the 2013 Virginia Governor's race... they came out with their final poll and it's:

Youngkin 48.1%
McAuliffe 47.9%
Blanding: 1%

The Suffolk poll finds it tied as well, tiny edge to McAuliffe:

Steve Kornacki
@SteveKornacki

Oct 26
Suffolk/USA Today Virginia poll

McAuliffe (D) 45.6%
Youngkin (R) 45.2%

The reason for the tightness? It's the Education, stupid:

Steve Kornacki
@SteveKornacki

School boards 39%

Independents:
Parents 57%

This is truly depressing.

On a lighter note, I love the clip of McAuliffe trying to inject some energy into the autopsy, and finding he's the only one doing it. He's like the guy at a party trying to get people to dance, only to find he's the only one doing it, and they're all laughing at him.

54 "Should parents or school boards have more of an influence on a school's curriculum?"

The real issue is less directly about curriculum, and more about CRT. Ask that same group "Should teachers be pushing racist theory about the evils of white American history?" ... or something about the communist agenda in schools ... those may be tied to curriculum, but the point is not whether parents should choose what is the best book on Algebra, it is whether their seven year old should be taught about anal sex, or be confronted by a trannie in the bathroom.

He isn't, dear lady.

He is the figurehead of an occupying enemy government. Donald Trump was the last American president. I owe him no respect and no allegiance. I owe his illegal government the bare minimum of allegiance necessary to stay unnoticed.

He is a traitor in every sense of the word.

Not that I wouldn't put it past Jill to ask around though.

192 The real problem is that enough people voted for him to put him within the Dem margin of fraud.

I remember those days - and being smartened up that nobody serious would ever talk about the margin of fraud being as large as 5% in any state. That was just inconceivable. They'd never be able to get that kind of effort past the courts.

195 My current prediction on VA election. It will be close enough that it won't be called when the polls close at 7 pm Eastern. Because Fairfax county, the most populous, has changed its procedures, and it will take a while for them to report. Youngkin will be ahead when the first reporting comes in, by midnight McAuliffe will be declared the winner and Youngkin will give a well received concession speech talking about how important it is that we all support our new governor. Final final I think will be about a 2 point race.

The current balance in the House of Delegates, currently 55 Dem - 45 Republican, will not change. Maybe one seat either way. But it will remain in Democrat control.

196 "Early voting started 9/17(!!). They now have confirmation they have the numbers they need to win."

yeah, they probably have 70% already voted D, so if you have not voted, no point showing up and casting a provisional ballot (because they already voted for you) ... your provisional will be tossed in the trash.

It does seem they are perfecting the process now ... I think Bannon is saying to vote early, but there are so many places the Dems control chain of custody. If ballots are not under lock and key and multiple cameras, some Dem mole will get in and steal/destroy/replace as needed.

204 Finally, the WEF has been running, since 1993, a program called "Global Leaders for Tomorrow", rebranded, in 2004, as "Young Global Leaders". This program aims at identifying, selecting and promoting future global leaders in both business and politics. Indeed, quite a few "Young Global Leaders" have later managed to become Presidents, Prime Ministers, or CEOs (see below).

In this regard, some notable Young Leaders include Jeffrey Zients (US White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator), Stephane Bancel (CEO of Moderna), Jeremy Howard (founder of influential lobby group "Masks for All"), Leana Wen (zero-covid CNN medical analyst), Eric Feigl-Ding (zero-covid Twitter personality), Gavin Newsom (Governor of California, selected in 2005), Devi Sridhar (British zero-covid professor), Jacinda Ardern (Prime Minister of New Zealand), French President Emanuel Macron (selected one year prior to his election in 2017), Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, German Chancellor Angela Merkel (selected back in 1993), German Health Minister Jens Spahn, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (a leading proponent of 'global vaccine passports').

For a guy that loved to talk about a "rigged system" during the primary - he didn't say much about it afterward. Even while, if we're to believe folks here, he couldn't make a single move without the GOP leading his impeachment.

I'll believe anything when the vote comes in, because we are in a blue controlled state that can change the rules on a whim. However, McAwful is running into serious headwinds, with voter enthusiasm in the toilet and his voter base in NOVA angry as hell about the schools.

I get cheating and the like, though NOVA typically doesn't cheat, they are the DC burbs, how else would you expect them to vote. They may not have the machinery to really drive vote totals like the big blue enclaves did in 2020.

Plus, they are really pissed off about the schools. And the rapes coming out with the judge ruling just makes it worse.

Russian dance for the dudes seems to be centered on showing strength. "Hey baby, look at this healthy body." Whereas western stuff is all "ooh I'm so sexy because I'm imitating a woman's move" Some of the Rusky dance moves are pretty much pistol squats. Pistol squats are the ass killer. It takes a long time to just get to the point where you can balance and squat on one leg. Do that repeatedly and start hopping and you'll be sore.

A comedy (tragedy?) of errors. From what I can gather from various sources:
1. Enviro regulation law (CARB) restricts the trucks that can service the port and the state to those that are a few years old. There is a trucking dislocation because all new rigs have to go CA and it creates weird local shortages.
2. Anti-Uber law (AB5) that limits freelancers to five jobs a month for the same company hits truck owner/operators, and so they can't work the dock run more than five times a month. This further restricts trucking throughput
3. The docks are short on space to put containers, and you can't unload into a spot that already has a container in it
4. Containers are piling up for return, and can't get in (no space, no transportation)
5. Further regulations on empty container stacking in non-port yards means a bunch are sitting on trailers, further increasing the bottleneck by reducing trailer supply
6. A lot of the trucks have to go as far as Phoenix to swap at an intermodal terminal, which reduces the number of round-trips they can make to the dock (ties into the CARB-related problems)

To add to this, since this is my line of work:

US CBP receives their ISF Filing (Importer Security Filing) before the vessel even leaves the foreign port. If not, the importer gets fined bigly and CBP will mess their shit up to teach them a lesson..

They know what it is, where it's coming from, who stuffed the container, where it was stuffed, MBL's, HBL's, all that stuff way in advance. Any decisions to inspect or not to inspect are made based on the ISF filing.

344 >>Can any of you explain to me the reasons why we have a crisis at the ports?
Seriously. Specifically.

It is a combination of things, but two things have been noted:
-- CA legislation preventing indipendent truckers from working the ports (it was the contract worker legislation), which has greatly reduced the number of truckers available to pick up goods arriving at the port.
-- CA green legislation that IIRC requires new trucks meet emissions standards that are not currently available and prevents trucks bought before 2011 from operating in the state. Re: the new trucks, trucking companies are putting off buying new trucks knowing they will be forced out in a few years but don't have the option of buying the (fantasy) compliant trucks.

Everywhere you turn to research the latest radical person, you can find that it goes back to some radical left-wing organization. That is what the left does: they have all these organizations -- these networks -- and then mold them and place in them institutions of influence all over the world.

Meanwhile, the right has... nothing. Other than Project Veritas, the right has absolutely nothing close the organizations and networks the left has where they place their people in positions of leadership and influence. But the right is very good at patting itself on the back for creating memes, making clever comments on social media and selling pillows. It's ridiculously depressing.

A lot of things including stop-start order filling with the COVID recession in a just-in-time system with no slack, but primarily various shades of California being California. Containers couldn't be stacked more than 2 high in Long Beach (which has since been suspended), which strangled the movement of containers. Independent truckers can only do a limited amount of work in California because there's a prohibition on independent contractors like Uber. Trucks that move containers have to pass California air quality standards. Lots and lots of stupidity that is human-caused and could be fixed.

Here are some of the contributing factors that I am aware of:

1) Panic caused a lot of people to lose their jobs, and they haven't gone back to work driving trucks or working docks
2) California regulations require a certain percentage of trucks be "green" of which there is a very small number, causing huge bottlenecks.
3) Demand for delivered goods rose dramatically for obvious reasons during the shutdowns

A CBP officer once showed me a pic of 30 illegals crammed into the first 8 feet of a container behind a false front. They all got zapped by the VACIS. No idea how bad the long-term effects are. There are warnings first. You get zapped, ain't no one to blame but your own illegally entering ass.

If that question were posed way back when before all the education indoctrination shit had hit the fan, it most certainly would not have gone 80-20.

But today the polarization is so toxic, that if they get the tiniest scent of what conservatives might start opposing, or promoting, they get TikTok'd and Twitter'd and Facebook'd into a screaming frenzy of authoritarian stormtroopers.

Posted by: clutch cargo

Almost a good triangle to set a right angle with when laying out walls - you're shit will be off a bit.

487 Daddy is a long time, respected movie armorer. She grew up in the culture. She should have soaked in it. The fact that she's 24 and this is her second job tells me this is an afterthought/fall back, NOT a career choice.

There was an incident on another movie where she gave a gun to an 11 year old on set. Think that there are some laws about that.

488 ". for an Eagles cover band or somesuch. "

There was a bigger crowd for the oompah band at a local Oktoberfest. And that had a bigger crowd waiting in line for brats.

489 Democrats:
Parents 16%
School boards 70%

Those fuckers really do need their own republic.

490 Youngkin 48.1%
McAuliffe 47.9%
Blanding: 1%

___

Wee read it more like 49.2 for McAuliffe and 46.3% for Youngkin.

491 I'm the last guy to give dancing lessons, but who teaches democrats to shake it? Did they all learn their moves from 1980s Richard Simmons tapes? And not even Richard Simmons himself, but one of the old fatties in the audience of his exercise tapes.

492 108 Since when can a 15-year-old girl consent to any sexual act?
------------------

One must consider if she were duped or seduced or was previously involved with sodomy or was she assaulted and physically/sexually abused while resisting.

She was, obviously, not a willing participant.

495 More and more, this is reminding me of 2020. Sleepy Joe had bad turnouts then, too.

Is anyone paying attention to the well know Dem propensity to cheat in elections in which they trail? There is NO reason to believe that they will not try it again.
