The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"I said what I said, and boy, I heard what you said. My God, how could I not? You said you want a safe working environment at Netflix.

"Well, it seems like I'm the only one that can't go to the office anymore!" Dave Chappelle

Quote II

“What we must also recognize is that the reduction in policing currently in our city, and the lawlessness that is happening is due to two things. One, the police have chosen to not fulfill their oath of office and to provide the public safety they are owed to the citizens they serve, right? It’s documented. But even before that, it was documented. The Minneapolis Police Department is the most dysfunctional police department, in our state and probably in the country.” Rep. Ilhan Omar Nuhr (D-MN)

Quote III

“Not only does Jeff Duncan not deliver for the people of the third district—I cannot think of a thing he has truly done—he now sports a vulgar slogan on his mask and walks off the floor!”

“The hypocrisy of the Faith and Freedom BBQ is exposed!” South Carolina, Oconee Democratic Party chairwoman Jody Gaulin

Quote IV

“Initial investigations suspect that the deceased was killed by an elephant and left behind by his accomplices,” Kruger National Park Spokesman Isaac Phaahla

Quote V

"The proposal represents a commonsense step toward ensuring that highly profitable corporations - which sometimes can avoid the current corporate tax rate - pay a reasonable minimum corporate tax on their profits..." Sen. Democrat Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona

Thou shalt not covet.

Diners in NYC are disenfranchised.

“By the way, the reason that so many bars and restaurant owners need them? That’s because of the vaccine passport,” charged Sliwa. “Ridiculousness. That I need to show a vaccine passport to go indoors at a restaurant, and then personal ID? I just went to vote with my wife Nancy on Saturday,” he noted, “You didn’t need a vaccine passport, you didn’t have to show an ID.”

“But to get a cheeseburger and fries? You gotta show a vaccine passport and ID.” Sliwa added, “That is crazy, and as a result, diners end up going to New Jersey, Westchester, Connecticut, or Long Island where they don’t have to show a vaccine passport or ID.” Mocking, he continued, “Is the air different, Bill? Is the air different in New York City than it is in the tri-state area? This is ridiculous.” The moderator quickly stopped the candidate from continuing.

This next story demonstrates what is wrong with this country. No one is responsible for their actions. And yes, I am biased, I am employed in the insurance industry. Sucking d*#k leads to an auto insurance claim.

A Missouri woman is suing GEICO after contracting a sexually transmitted disease in a car insured by the company.

The woman, identified in District Court documents as M.O., had a sexual relationship with the insured, M.B., in late 2017 including unprotected sex in the latter’s 2014 Hyundai Genesis. M.O. alleges that M.B. had been previously diagnosed with anogenital human papillomavirus (HPV), but he did not tell her about his condition or take steps to prevent transmitting the virus.

If this case go forwards, depositions should be interesting.

A funny thing in Loudoun County. It is the students who know right from wrong and not the adults who run the schools.

OUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WJLA)— Loudoun County Public School students planned a walkout Tuesday morning to protest for safer schools after two recent assaults were reported at two different Loudoun schools.

Crowds of students were seen outside schools in the district, including Stone Bridge, Loudoun County High School, Briar Woods High School, Broad Run High School and Lightridge High School.

On Monday, the teen suspect in a sex assault at Stone Bridge High School in May was found guilty on all charges. The victim’s legal team, The Stanley Law Group, tells 7News that the Judge determined that there were facts sufficient that the defendant committed a forcible assault.

Scott Smith, the father of the victim, spoke to 7News investigator Scott Taylor four months after he was arrested at a Loudoun County school board meeting. He said he went there looking for answers after his daughter was assaulted.

Halloween is one of those "holidays" that people really get into. I've never seen the attraction, but to each their own. Now the Nanny Karens of the Halloween world don't want you to be offensive. Oh piss off Karens.

COVID Costumes Aren't Funny, and Other Dress-Up Faux Pas to Avoid This Halloween
Follow these simple guidelines to ensure your costume doesn't miss the mark. Or just go as a ghost.

It’s long past time to face that dreaded seasonal question: What am I going to be for Halloween? The guide below is designed to help you avoid some of the most common Halloween costume pitfalls and provide tips for truly impressing the guests at your upcoming Halloween Social/Apple Bob-a-Thon.

Avoid “offensive” “funny” costumes
You have the right to wear whatever costume you want for Halloween (provided you’re complying with local indecent exposure laws) but I’m sure you’re also a nice person, and eager not to come across as an asshole. So I’m sure you want to be sensitive to other people’s feelings, and that means being aware of the implications of what you wear.

I know there are several Morons in the Houston area. Hopefully you'll keep us posted on the following story once December 15th arrives. What are the odds this accused criminal will show up for his next court hearing?

HOUSTON – The teen charged with murder and aggravated assault in a crash that killed three valets made bail over the weekend.

Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi, 17, is charged with three counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury in the 230th State District Court.

As a condition of his bond, Modawi must wear a GPS ankle monitor under house arrest until his next court appearance. Modawi is permitted to attend school and go to church, according to court documents.

Modawi is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 15.

In early October, Modawi’s bond was set at at $350,000 -- $100,000 for each murder count and $50,000 related to the wounding of the passenger who was in the car with Modawi during the police pursuit. Less than a week later, Judge Chris Morton reduced Modawi’s bond from $350,000 to $220,000 -- $60,000 for each murder count and $40,000 for the aggravated assault.

Flight risk? Never heard of it.

Speaking of bail or the lack thereof. Biden's Gender equity plan addresses bail. Gender? Well anyway, they want cash bail eliminated. Unless you were arrested on January 6th in D.C.

As the country faces an unprecedented murder spike, President Joe Biden is claiming that eliminating cash bail for violent criminals is critical to promoting "gender equity and equality."

A 42-page report from the White House Gender Policy Council entitled the "National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality" outlines a "whole of government" approach to ending so-called inequality between men, women, and transgender people. Among the critical steps necessary to remedy disparities between these groups, the White House alleges, is working to overturn cash bail, a legal mechanism that proponents say helps keep violent criminals off the street.

It is a step in the right direction. Let's hope that other school board associations follows the moves of the Missouri School Boards Association.

Following national outrage over the National School Boards Association’s September 29 letter calling for federal law enforcement to criminally investigate parents, the Missouri School Boards Association has decided to withdraw from the NSBA “effective immediately.”
The Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) has decided to officially withdraw from the National School Boards Association “effective immediately” over the NSBA’s decision to ask the federal government to criminally investigate concerned parents for domestic terrorism using the PATRIOT Act.

As Missouri goes: So does Ohio.

The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Board of Trustees voted to end its affiliation with the National School Boards Association (NSBA) after the latter requested a federal crackdown on recent “threats” to school board members.

“The Board of Trustees’ decision was prompted by NSBA’s recent letter to President Joe Biden requesting federal intervention at local school board meetings,” OSBA Chief Executive Officer Rick Lewis said in a statement.

Now I can take Vegans seriously. Internet users are in stitches as Holland & Barrett has started selling vegan sex toys in the shape of vegetables.

The health food shop has left shoppers bemused as they announced they would now be selling silicone corn on the cob, chilli peppers, carrots, bananas, and eggplants as part of their new range of sex toys.

The £16.95 vibrating bullets are made by 'VeganToys', who specialise in veggie style sex toys and "guilt-free pleasure", and Holland & Barrett said it wants to bring some heat to shoppers' sexual health.

If I was a parent with children under the age of 17 I would not be subjecting them to the Chinese Kung Fluc vaccination.

An advisory panel for the Food and Drug Administration has officially recommended the two-shot Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine be authorized by the agency to be given to kids ages 5 to 11. There was overwhelming support from the panel, with a 17-0 vote and one abstention.

The emergency use authorization vote was the first major hurdle before the vaccine can be distributed to children. Now that it has passed the advisory panel, it will move on for formal authorization from the FDA.

The American Dream comes true. And numerous people benefit. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

One woman is being called the best boss in the world after she gifted all of her employees one heck of a present.

Last week, CNN reported that investment management company Blackstone had purchased a majority stake in Spanx, valuing the shapewear brand at a whopping $1.2 billion.

Sara Blakely, Spanx’s founder and CEO, surprised her staff with two first-class tickets each to anywhere in the world during a party celebrating the deal. She is also giving them $10,000 each to spend on the trip.

Blakely posted a video on social media of the joyous moment when she announced the gifts, and the employees were so dumbfounded by the news, some of them cried, while others were slack-jawed.

Sara Blakely began Spanx as a side business while selling fax machines door-to-door in her late 20s

Congratulations Sara. Job well done.

24 Willpower myself, I think.

Evening.

So I'm reading a Yahoo News story about the Loudon County rape case.
https://tinyurl.com/wsjvfftx
There's one detail I found sad and enlightening. It's the kind of detail that never gets argued in these debates.
So apparently the girl who was raped testified that she had had two prior consensual sexual encounters with the perpetrator in the girl's restroom. First, let me say, that's fucked up. She's fourteen. I'm guessing he probably pressured her into it. But the main point I want to bring up is that no one ever points out that these so-called "Trans-Gender Bathroom Policies" really greatly enable the opportunity for, um...shenanigans. Like part of the reason you separate boys and girls is so that they don't do shit like that. And even if they find places to get into shenanigans anyway you don't want to have a public policy fucking encouraging it. It reminds me of how the Nazis (I know, I know) intentionally built summer camps for boys *right next* to the summer camps for girls. They wanted the resulting pregnancies. More Ubermen, I guess.

(Continued...)

25 My favorite Hoyt Axton song was Della and the Dealer.

It was Della and the Dealer and a dog named Jake, and cat named Kalamazoo
Left the city in a pickup truck, gonna make their dreams come true
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell, 'bout Della and the Dealer and the dog as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin' word.

Posted by: Pug Mahon, from Butte, America at October 26, 2021 09:07 PM (x8Wzq)

26 Continued from Posted by: Robert at October 26, 2021 09:06 PM (hXkPS)

So I guess when we argue against these things it's important to avoid the trannies. The trannies aren't really of great number. What is it, half a percent? They're incidental. And making it about them just gives the leftist douchebags opportunities to call us bigots and haters. The focus needs to be entirely on the safety and well-being of girls. One, these policies open the door to psychopaths and perverts who will attempt to hide behind the rhetoric and law to do fucked up things and hurt girls and women. Secondly, and it's harder to admit, but even though we can all say boys are little horn dogs even the girls can get rascally and it's in the interest of everyone if we not encourage bad behavior that leads to suboptimal or even criminal outcomes.

41 I've never seen the attraction

I've always liked Halloween. I like seeing kids in their costumes, handing out candy, watching horror movies. I also like that it's not religious. I've never cared for the Easter Bunny/Santa secular culture clash with Easter/Xmas. Anecdotally, I think people from good families/backgrounds seem to prefer more traditional family-oriented holidays. That's not me though. Part of what I like about Halloween is that it is not that.

I don't get really involved in Halloween, except that year when I got a Chewbacca jacket and mask and practiced that sound. The kids didn't care much, but their parents seemed to like it.

But I do make sure that I have enough candy, because I remember, as a kid, hating the people who turned off their lights and hid in their houses, instead of coming across with the candy I was due.

I do realize that the law sees things differently, but almost no 14 year old human males do, ever have or ever will. Most likely because for most of human history boys that age were not only already fighting and dying in their tribe's or country's military, but also getting drunk and having sex as well.

You do not have to "prove" a religious exemption. You simply claim one.

If your company fires you anyway, then you may sue them on grounds of religious discrimination.

Then you may make your case in front of a jury that you hold deep religious convictions that make the vax objectionable.

Then the jury weighs your claim.

Posted by: CrotchetyOldJarhead at October 26, 2021 09:03 PM (l1zez)

The 94 is cool, good engine. I have seen some soft crank pins on some 97-99 engines, and I'm usually a little hesitant to build any kind of horsepower on those, because you never know. I would say the cheapest way out for maximum results is the 80" FLSS kit from S and S. It uses the stock flywheels and cylinders, but you get a nice boost from the pistons, cam, and heads. If you did the work yourself, between cylinder boring costs and the price of the kit you're probably looking at around $2500, unless like everything else prices got stupid. You also can just be an asshole and buy the Ultima EL Bruto 127" engine for around 4K. Big bang for the buck, but its import. Supposedly they got a 107" american made version for somewhere around the same price. The 107 is a real nice engine.

Many people believe that Halloween is a remnant of the old pagan Gaelic festival of Samhain, celebrating the change into the "dark half" of the year. They believe that the Roman Catholic Church established All Saints Day on the day after so as to counter the impact of this old ritual.

237 Look on the bright side!

Portland just set an all-time annual record for murders (before Halloween), and a local alt-weekly put it this way in the headline:

Portland Surpasses 1987 Murder Record After Double Homicide in Old Town
The county's population has increased by more than 46% since the previous record was set.

Not so bad now, is it?

To be fair, other reporters for the alt-weekly have noted that about half the homicide victims are black (in a city that is seven percent black), and calculated that this means that you are now more likely to be murdered if you are black in Portland than if you are black in Baltimore, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

If some attractive fit thot walks into a teenage boy's classroom he's purt near 90-95 % groomed already. I guess it's a pretty big power trip to be drooled over like that. But, again, she's pretty attractive like I said so she'd get that walking into any pub. It feels like she was abused and 1) needs an element of power and control, and 2) has a low/zero evaluation of herself as a person.

STI makes a line of superb double-stack .45ACP 1911s. Polymer frame, so it keeps things very manageable in terms of grip diameter, shape and profile.

Plus, STI is truly a PREMIUM 1911 platform. Championship quality in any match you might want to contest. Try one of those out for your 15 shot .45 ACP needs.

301 I'd like to tap the Horde's wisdom and experience. After last February's Big Tex freezeoff, I have started looking at propane catalytic heaters for emergency indoor use during winter power outages.

Mr. Heater and Flame King make propane catalytic heaters for safe indoor use. How big of a BTU rating would I need to keep enough heat in the 2-story, 3100sqft house to prevent water line freezeups?

Anticipating another winter freeze power outage lasting 3+ days, I'm not trying to heat the whole house, but would like to minimize the shivering if we gather in the large family room (20 x 30) and keep enough heat near the exterior walls with water pipes to keep them from freezing.

BTU Options are a 4k/9k, 4k/9k/18k, 10k, or a 20K, and would run off those 1lb propane tanks (a shitload of them).

Any experience with the Mr. Heater or Flame King product line? Should I get 2 of the smaller units and move them around vs buying the one larger unit?

302 At the first Halloween, beginning what I can only assume will become a dark lost millennium of covid hysteria and civilizational collapse, I remember there were people on their steps with 20' long PVC pipes they painted up with orange and black stripes. Kids would walk up the sidewalk and the crazy hysterics would drop candy at one end, it would slide the 20' and the kids would collect it at the other end.

And there were a lot of people that did this. Just spontaneously decided this level of insanity was warranted and manufactured these plague candy pipes as a result. Maybe some were old people who really looked forward to the night to get interaction with kids they miss but couldn't break from the fear. So the pipe was the psychological arrangement they settled on to assuage the fear.

310 I thought I read that Shotspotter was...questionable, at best. Does it actually work?

Quite well. The problem has been with all of the police defunding, it is an expensive annual package that can save a big city $250k.

There was a case where the shooting happened underneath a Shotspotter mic and the system is designed to continue recording for a few more seconds in the event there are follow up shots. The vic was yelling out the name of his killer and it was recorded helping them capture the perp.

Posted by: Reuben Hick at October 26, 2021 10:16 PM (+LCoQ)

311 Other civilized areas are using Shotspotter and ALPR enabled cameras that way the police can be waiting at the shooter's lair for them to return.

Portland used to have a police unit specifically tasked with reducing gang violence - they had a list of gang members, developed intelligence on gangs, and made specific efforts to stop retaliatory gang shootings. They were quite effective, so the cop-hating city councilman (who is black) got the unit abolished, since they were racciyst.

Now the gangs can shoot each other (and bystanders) without interference. Portland cops are also now forbidden from making traffic stops without permission from a higher-up (to keep them from profiling), so the gangbangers don't have to worry that they'll get pulled over holding guns.

Net result - the murder rate among Portland blacks is now double the murder rate of El Salvador.

Mission accomplished!

The DA and cops figured it was a slam dunk, so they didn't bother doing any unnecessary extra work, like collecting evidence or doing an investigation. Despite my best efforts to hide it, I think I had my "are you shitting me?" face on during most of the trial. Would NOT have worked in the Great Texas Freezathon, '01.

Pretty much all local water service was kaput, due to zero electrons flowing in the Texas 'Lectric Grid. No power, no pumps. No pumps, no dribbles. And I do think that a large portable diesel generator in the 12k continuous range would do better powering a "window unit" with a heat-pump, *or* two or three strategically placed electric space heaters. Diesel has far greater energy density than propane, and the fuel volume per delivered BTW in the house will be a fraction of what it'd take in propane. Fraction of the cost, too.

With apologies to Hank Hill, of course.

This may not be applicable to your situation, but my experience with my 2000 sq ft mountain home, it that in the winter, when the place has been shut down for the season, is that the biggest problem isn't the pipes per se, but rather the bulk of the house needs to be warmed up (drywall, studs, crawlspace, etc.). Propane space heaters don't cut it, even fireplace takes a long time to heat the bulk of the house. I guess I would say it's easier to "keep" it warm than to "get" it warm.

The water shutoffs failed, both at the meter (now fixed per water co) and going into the house (son-in-law the plumber is coming out to fix). Our sub-tropical 1975 era Houston houses run all the plumbing up inside an exterior wall and all through the attic, where the water heater sits. Kitchen sink, 3 toilets, 2 showers, and the clothes washer all use exterior walls for plumbing connections.

I have a wood burning fireplace but find that it is a net heat loss.

Interesting, we have had some recent inquiries by certain very large LE entities regarding prediction algorithms. It seems that they want to do to crime stopping what banking services have done to avoid accusations of red-lining and demographic discrimination.

The banks just issue a credit score based on an evolving algorithm. It seems that the answer to this stupidity of dumping good old fashioned profiling is to outsource to computers the same profiling that allegedly isn't racist.

376 You can get an insert for the fire place with convection vents that will put out good heat.

Also, if you don't have one, where the water enters your house there should be a drain cut-off.

In other words you can cut the water from coming in off while at the same time drain all the water pipes above the level of the cut-off.

Theoretically that would be all your pipes.

We are currently scheduled for the plumbers to shut down our place for the season. Et for Friday. We drain the main plumbing, and charge the in-floor heating circuit with glycol without draining it. It can get down to 25 below here in the winter. Once we shut it down, it is shut down until late March at the earliest, more commonly late April.

I would strongly recommend getting a CO2 meter because even if they promise no build up of deadly CO, your family will be competing with the propane heater for oxygen.

In my hovel, with everyone here, the CO2 numbers climb into the 1800-2400 range. I noticed while at the MoMe, I checked the house remotely and the CO2 was around 800ish (normal outside is 400-440). I must be one heck of a CO2 generator.

Thanks. I will ask SIL about adding a drain cut-off there. At the moment, the water shutoff turns and "closes" but, get this, does not actually stop water from continuing to pressurize the house's water lines. It's original to this 1975-era house.

My house is 100% spray foam insulation, and the supply water is 100 PEX piping. In spite of three days of 19 degree exterior temps, the interior never fell to below 39 degrees, and a bonus of PEX is that it can withstand a pretty hard freeze, without bursting. It has just enough flex to withstand the expansion.

I do have a water supply cutoff valve, but it's used for hurricanes, to prevent contamination of the house's water supply lines. Same with the sewage main, it gets shutoff to prevent storm surge from blowin sewage up through the toilets and sinks. I'm thankful though, that we seldom have to consider freezing weather here.

423 This may not be applicable to your situation, but my experience with my 2000 sq ft mountain home, it that in the winter, when the place has been shut down for the season, is that the biggest problem isn't the pipes per se, but rather the bulk of the house needs to be warmed up (drywall, studs, crawlspace, etc.). Propane space heaters don't cut it, even fireplace takes a long time to heat the bulk of the house. I guess I would say it's easier to "keep" it warm than to "get" it warm.

You don't pay for wifi, you pay for internet access. Do you have a landline phone? Big picture, you could rig up a raspberry pi with a ring detector, and have it send a command to the thermostat via wifi when the phone rings.

Oh yeah, that kid is a fucking piece of shit. Sad thing is he'll probably only do a couple of years if that because he's a juvenile.

Personally I'm of the opinion juveniles who engage in major crimes like, say, rape shouldn't have their identities concealed and they should automatically be tried as adults. We know this little fuckstain is going to be a predator, we should know who he is and then have him locked away for a long time in a "pound me in the ass" prison.

In the story I linked way up top she admitted they had two previous consensual sexual encounters in the girl's room. It wasn't stated that they had sex as such. I just interpret that to mean she blew him.

I suppose that fact shouldn't be a surprise. They say most rapes are committed by someone the victim knows. Still, the perp needs to be bent over by the biggest, blackest scumbags in the prison system. We'll call it a form if reparations.

How about rigging up the thermostat to operate when the door is opened? Then some time before you choose to arrive call the local sheriff and claim that you have hostages in the house. The nice side effect is that if any squatters are in the house, the kind SWAT team will have them permanently removed before you arrive. The downside is that you have to replace the door frame.

Though I actually gravitated towards the "no name" performers, who were incredibly good, as the stages with the big names got mobbed, a bit - even on Fridays.

Can't recall the circumstance, but for some reason Harry Connick Jr played in a tent and the crowd wasn't big, the seating wasn't even very large, very mellow. He talked with people, took requests, it was oddly like a small informal event, not even public.

I'm guessing parents don't generally attend the state school board associations. The school board is supposed to be local. No, I'm guessing that's where the local school boards go and meet to plot against the parents, and develop their commie curriculua, and come up with strategies for dealing with the parents, all without them being present.

When I first went, JazzFest was two 2-day weekends. By the time I stopped going, it was 2 5-day "weekends" (Wed-Sun). From memory - I think this is close to accurate.

We rarely went on weekends after the early years. Too much of a zoo. Really didn't do much of the night-time club stuff either, just a bit. Mentioned here one night that we went to see BB at Tip's, by the time he came on (1AM? 2?) I was pretty beat.

525 Clarification: Further youtube research reveals the Mr Heater propane Buddys are not, in fact, catalytic heaters but very efficient combustion infrared. Lot of confusion around this point. Byproducts of said combustion are H2O and CO2. As long as it gets plenty of O2, its CO byproducts are negligible. The low O2 sensor shutoff should prevent CO with everything working well. Would still get a CO alarm to pair with it.

539 I thought that this was particularly good from the Rabbi:

Do not request an exemption. Inform them in no uncertain terms that your religious convictions forbid you from complying with their request, your convictions are inviolable and non-negotiable, and they have no authority to act as inquisitors. Do not allow them to reduce you to a groveler pleading for their recognition and mercy.

These people hate you. They loathe your religious beliefs. They are perfectly content to destroy your body and soul. They are coldly following orders, without a shred of compassion, concern, or conscience, and the way they pretend otherwise is patronizing.

Does your religion tell you to kiss the feet of such evil wretches while they stamp you into the dust?

Stand up already, be proud of your religious convictions, and fight God's fight.

568 Any thoughts on a way to activate a thermostat remotely without wifi. We just bought a place that has hot water heat and it takes a while to warm up - be nice to get that started if we want to head up. Do not want to pay for wifi when not there that much during winter.

You can go old school and leave a key with a neighbor. When you want stuff turned on call the neighbor and ask them to do it.

If you can find one there may still be a circuit that will switch a relay in response to a distinctive ring signal on the phone line. This requires a phone line that supports multiple phone numbers and distinctive ring. Probably more expensive than minimal internet.

Then there's a phone line, a modem, a computer, and a relay solution. Again, requires an active phone line. But if you're not paying for internet, you're probably not paying for basic phone either.

570 Nearsider, Haymarket wasn't built when I was playing in the area. Ballston was just being completed.

Fairfax is the Boston Garden of DC area ice rinks. I think the dimensions are actually similar to the original Garden (probably even a bit smaller).

Most guys I played with were Fairfax League long-timers. When Reston Ice Forum was built, one of us scored some decent practice times on the Olympic rink (night, before 10, so - very good, for adult hockey).

After years on the Fairfax postage stamp, 200 X 100 seemed like playing down on the Reflecting Pool* or something. Enormous. I think goalies found it a bit dull, as so many shots came from far away = easy to block. I just remember when the puck would get dumped in (I play D), sighing to myself and thinking how f***ing far it was just to skate to the back-boards or corner to get it.

603 Fenelon, the impression I have is that when you move, it's a big help if you have the money to just rent a storage space in the area where you're moving to, so you can worry about "where it all goes" and "what to keep, what to throw away" later on.

680 to Robert's comments on Loudoun very early, spot on.
The trans angle is a distraction (and has been since the meeting where the dad was arrested, after being provoked by someone summoned to attend by the local Equality group (lgbtetc has not yet earned "equity", meaning supremacy, as much as they'd like) and the local dems, birm).
Lots of kids will take advantage of the ability to hook up, and wearing a skirt or some other identifier is no big deal for kids who regularly participate in pajama day! crazy socks day! and so on through the grooming.
I was pretty amazed that the defense argued in court (according to a local account) that since they had sexted and hooked up before, the accused had a "reasonable expectation that he would have sex".
We pay almost $1B in local funding, and will get only $330M from the state (also our money) instead of over $400M because of the precipitous (unexpectedly!) drop from projected enrollment.
I guess the policy will become an issue when the football team rapes an alphabet kid in the bathroom during school hours?

692 Huma saying this means the Clintons are out to kneecap someone. It's not Manchin. He was a provincial Governor at the time, no house in DC. And Hillary wouldn't take out a hit like this on behalf of Porridgehead over a budget deal that doesn't affect her. I hope it's him... But I'm guessing it's just a shot across *someone's* bow, someone too high profile to murder, warning them to stay quiet.

Or else she'll sic Q'aren Abedin on them in the media... the poor, lost waif will work up the courage to finally speak out against the brute beast who took her innocence, and shattered her dreams about Our Sacred Senate.

695 gotta pull the pin early... need to get a shit load of blood w*rk done for my yearly "see thunder/hear lightning" appointment with the resident de jour training under my primary quack at the VA next Monday afternoon, and Herself is calling the house around 8AM to make sure i'm up to get there early for the time sensitive ones.

they must be tired of trying to break me to harness: i messaged in and said "hey, no one's done any labs on me in awhile, so lets run (laundry list of general and some me specific tests)...

got back: "the orders are in". i'll make the bastards give me the "patient centered care" they yammer about if it Fing kills them.

hasta, y'all!

706 Thou shalt not covet.

Do not covet your neighbors things. Do not covet things that are bad for you.
Covet good things, like prayers from others and a better relationship with Him. If we covet the desires of Gods heart, He will be pleased and we will get them.

710 All they (Congress) would have to do is make it illegal for a corporation to deduct their taxes from their gross profit.

But they won't do that because then the theft is blatant and plain for all to see plus it would call into question the deduction that other people take off their income which is the various taxes that they pay out. And we've already seen what doing that would cause. And who it would effect.
