Emails Reveal that National School Board Association Colluded With White House To Draft That Letter Demanding the DOJ Treat Concerned Parents as "Domestic Terrorists"

New reporting suggests that the National School Board Association colluded with the Biden White House regarding their letter demanding that the FBI treat critics of leftwing schoolboards as potential domestic terrorists.

Chuck Ross with another huge scoop:

The country's largest school board association collaborated with the Biden White House before sending a controversial letter calling on the FBI to investigate parents as potential domestic terrorists, according to previously unreported emails.

The emails, obtained by Parents Defending Education through public records requests and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, reveal that the National School Board Association's president and CEO sent the letter to Biden on Sept. 29 without approval from the organization's board. The letter said that the acts of some parents at school board meetings across the country could be considered "a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes."

The emails also show that the White House asked the association for examples of threats against school board members days before Attorney General Merrick Garland created a task force of officials from the FBI and the Justice Department to determine how to prosecute alleged crimes at school board meetings.

In other words, the White House told them what to put into the letter so that they could then order Merrick Garland to investigate "domestic terrorism."

The letter makes clear that the White House was aware of the letter before it was released, while raising questions about whether the White House colluded with the association on the letter to prompt federal action.

This was all a set-up. It was all fugazi. The White House was already primed to order the DOJ to attack concerned parents -- but they didn't want to make it look wholly political.

So they put the NSBA into writing a tearful letter for them, filled with ominous tales of parents making "threats," to justify what they were going to do anyway.

Merrick Garland testified -- or testilied, really-- in Congress yesterday.

He testilied that he didn't know anything about any of the topics Republicans wanted to talk about.

When asked if he was aware of the bathroom sexual assault of the daughter of one of the men the NSBA was accusing of "terrorism," Merrick Garland claimed he'd heard nothing about it.

Remember, the National School Board Association specifically named Scott Smith -- the father of the sexually-violated girl -- in its list of "incidents" which they claim justified treating concerned parents as "domestic terrorists."

And Merrick Garland, vouched for by National Review's serial voucher Andy McCarthy, claims he just hasn't heard anything about this case.

When asked if he was aware that a leftwing environmental group had stated their own "insurrection" by battering their way into a federal building two weeks ago, Garland similarly claimed he'd never heard the story.

This is Strategic Ignorance.

This is testilying.

Again, I urge Congress to create an Idiot's Corner where they can send someone to read the law or read recent news when they claim to not know things they don't wish to comment on.

Then call them back to the witness chair after their purported ignorance of very basic knowledge has been cured.

Note that Garland also says that this sexual assault is merely a "state case" -- a "local crime story," no doubt -- so that the DOJ should not have any opinion about it.

But the "threats" from parents were also state cases, if they were cases at all.

And the DOJ rushed in to investigate those state cases.

When Merrick Garland asked what evidence he had of rising threats of "domestic terrorism" to justify putting out a memo telling parents they risk an FBI investigation if they get rude with a school board partisan, he said he had... the letter. Just the letter from the NASB (and co-sponsored by the White House).

No independent information. Just the claims of a leftwing partisan organizaiton.

Merrick Garland -- once again, vouched for by National Review's stuffed-suit egg Andy McCarthy -- doesn't want to comment on a whole bunch of things these days.

How much terrorism is the FBI actually organizing?

And here's another thing Merrick Garland won't talk about -- whether or not he should recuse himself due to the fact that his son-in-law is a co-founder of a company that provides Critical Race Theory training materials to public schools.

Merrick Garland, vouched for by National Review's Permanent Government Man, said he has not and would not seek an ethics review of his conflict of interest because, he says, no one is forcing him to do so.

Note that this company lives on government contracts.

More about Merrick Garland's son-in-law's grifter company.

The left-wing education company co-founded by Merrick Garland's son-in-law used a training session for teachers focused on "systemic racism," recommending an article that referred to Trump rally-goers as "examples of white supremacy" akin to the Ku Klux Klan.

Panorama Education, co-founded by Xan Tanner, who is the group's president, claims it has made its way into thousands of schools in the U.S., selling race-focused student and teacher surveys and conducting training on systemic racism and oppression, white supremacy, unconscious or implicit bias, and intersectionality, all under the rubric of "Social-Emotional Learning." The company makes it clear that "SEL" is just a "vehicle" for achieving its goals related to "equity."

One 2021 workshop by Panorama is titled "SEL as Social Justice: Dismantling White Supremacy Within Systems and Self" and includes a slide that highlights a 2020 article titled "How White Supremacy Lives in Our Schools." The article was written by Altagracia Montilla, a self-described "freedom-dreamer, facilitator, and strategist committed to dismantling oppressive systems" who says she helps build "antiracist" work spaces, and the piece trashed supporters of former President Donald Trump.

...

Elizabeth Breese, vice president of marketing at Panorama, told the Washington Examiner the company is "not affiliated with any particular academic philosophy, including critical race theory.” She also claimed "the only relationship between Panorama Education and Attorney General Merrick Garland is that Panorama's co-founder Xan Tanner is AG Garland's son-in-law."

Yes, and the parents who Merrick Garland just sicced the FBI on are working to put his son-in-law out of his leftwing grifter business.

But apart from that -- no, no relation at all.

Meanwhile, Andy McCabe has now gotten zero punishment, thanks to the partisan decision to un-fire him and give him taxpayer money to cover his legal bills.

But you or I would be in prison.

Corrupt cops are the worst criminals.

I don't know what the vagaries involved in some nonsense like this are, but is this even necessary? I mean, they wanted something to "respond to" and the letter served the purpose, but did they actually *need* the letter? What are the requirements for the DoJ or the FBI to create a "task force?" I'd be surprised if there are any at all. The letter might be being used a rationale, but they wanted to do it and so they did.

77 Why even have a projectile loaded instead of the cartridge just being crimped? All they're looking for is the kaboom.

We ran down a few possibilities, including:

1) Used to shoot inanimate objects to create holes
2) They had dummy rounds in the cylinders to look like the revolver was loaded (it was a western)
3) They're idiots

78 Even so, the gas pressure from the barrel is lethal at some short distance. I think Brandon Lee demonstrated that.

-----
I read that they needed to see the bullet (revolver) for one scene so they removed the powder but not the primer. The primer lodged the bullet in the barrel.

They then loaded the gun with blanks, not noticing the bullet was in the barrel. The blanks fired with sufficient power to shoot the bullet out of the barrel into Lee's abdomen.

Bigger question is, why did the cartridge have a primer and powder. THAT can't be seen front the front. You CAN load an inert round without primer and powder and it look real.

Garland lied, provably. He read the letter, though he didn't know about the Loudon County case that prompted the letter to be written? Really? Pull the other one. At least one of those statements *must* be a lie.

And what will Congress do about it? The same thing they always do: nothing. People put their hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth under penalty of perjury, then lie their assess off. Garland. Fauci. Zuckerberg. And those are just the three I can think of between neurons firing to make fingers move to type this. And Congress doesn't care. They don't respect themselves, their office, their institution, their history or the citizens they purportedly represent. They're all in on the humiliating, self-abasing game.

They literally couldn't see what they were teaching their kids in school until covid shut everything down. The schools never sent the crt kind of classwork home, that was all kept in house and never spoken about outside of the school. Once covid hit and kids were being tele schooled it exposed what was actually going on to parents.

Not excusing anyone, but if you have ever been to a school board meeting you would know it was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer to a simple quesiton. And they never gave anything away you had to pry it from them using your two minutes of time. They would constantly lean over and ask the lawyer sitting there "are we permitted to answer that question". Put our son in catholic school and that solved that problem. You could go and sit in on classes unannounced if you wanted to.

Then the group files the paperwork/lawsuit. Take comfort in the fact that this can only go so far, before reality imposes itself with extreme prejudice. All of this must come to an end. And it will. It might create a lot of pain for all of us, but this edifice of lies will come crashing down, like they all do.

Pretty accurate. Basically since it was founded the FBI was a flaming dumpster fire serviced by human garbage. Since obviously the controlled opposition the Republican Party will not do anything--I suspect many are blackmailed by the very FBI they refused to confront--just encourage local and state police to refuse to engage with them and personally ostracize any agents or their families who live in your home towns. Nothing overt, just keep away from them the same as you would have their predecessors in the Gestapo, NKVD or Stasi. Pure scum you do not want in your life in any manner.

172 Impossible to take Horowitz seriously, as he was among the biggest ethical and citizen failures of his era.

The Clinton Espionage Act scandal - arguably the biggest scandal in American history, probably paired with/equal to the attempted coup against candidate, president-elect, and President Trump - was his moment to do his job.

Instead, we got "defensible prosecutorial decisions" - for things that were obviously, laughably indefensible, which were at the very heart of it all.

So sorry, while it's tempting to see Horowitz as any better than Garland (or McCabe, or Strzok, or Holder) - he isn't, not really. He endorsed the most indefensible cover-up in our history.

There was a reference yesterday or the day before to the FBI calling the school around the disturbance and upon being told it was a sexual assault okay fine it's not our jurisdiction. How, exactly, did the FBI even know about this in the first place? There was a passing comment about monitoring call logs and I'm sorry what now.

Somebody needs to start making ethical complaints to the med'l/nursing board of the states where these people are at.

There was a truly terrific opinion rendered by the Nebraska attny general today, detailing the data available on covid and studies on pre hospital treatment and finding that there is no basis for a disciplinary action against any nebraska doctor who prescribes HCQ or Ivermectin for early treatment or prophylaxis. Very thorough, citations backing very thing up. Cites also the studies critical of ivermectin and HCQ and then cites the articles debunking those critiques. Very detailed and fair. Worth looking up.

But, it's not earthshattering. It matters extremely little. It's "viral" in that it gets shared by partisans and convinces no one not already convinced.

After more than a decade of stories about how someone "owned" someone else rhetorically and the person owned still in power afterwards, I'm numb to it all.

This is nonsense. My mom was actively involved with my schooling when I was a kid. As soon as I walked in the door from grammar school, she immediately asked how was my day at school, did I have any notes she had to see, what did I learn and did I have any homework. This was the 1980s-1990s.

The problem is not (just) the schools, the problem is absentee parents. My mom did not have to be in my classes to know what was going on in the classes. She simply took an active interest in my education and made sure, every single day, to ask me about my day and what I learned. How many parents today are even home anymore to talk to their kids about their day and their education when their kids come home?

recording private conversations is a problem. Some states let you record conversation you are in, without telling other parties. Overheard conversations are iffy, were they in public where the people had no expectation of privacy? Or were you eavesdropping with a recorder. Tricky stuff.

If he was not a left-wing douche, seems like a prime storyline for the next version of Liam Neeson's "Taken" series. I think Maggie Grace character is old enough in the series now to have a daughter old enough to have been raped in school.

Have the storyline just as what is going on now in real life, including where they covered up the crime and arrested the father. Have the consequences be like "Law Abiding Citizen" where the father gets revenge on everyone who was involved with raping and killing his wife and daughter. Combine it with the storyline of Denzel's "Man on Fire" where he interrogates and then kills everyone involved with kidnapping Pita.

331 ow? I mean, how is it conceivably "wiretapping" and how is it federal?

its isn't federal its an illinois state law. And we don't know how it was recorded. Was it a video of a phone call? Someone talking on a cell, and somebody else videoing that - maybe a cell phone video. If you are recording a live conversation that can be illegal as well without consent, but not really wire tapping. Wire tapping would have to do with phone lines or maybe computer since they carry calls as well now.

but definitely just recording other people conversations that are private is a problem. If you are in a state like ohio, you can do it secretly - but you have to be a party to the conversation. The people talking have to want you to be able to listen and participate. They have consented to you hearing and speaking, so you could testify to the conversation. they can hardly object to a more accurate record of the conversation then, at least that is the theory in OHIO.

We had some kids (16-1 in a Union unit when we did Civil War reenacting that were not being watched closely. When you fire a blank you put in 50 grains of black power and a musket cap and shoot it off. One of the kids was loading his 50 grains and forgetting to use the musket cap so his gun did not fire at all during the battle. After the battle we have to clear all guns when we leave the field, so when it came his turn and the Captain was supervising him had him put a musket cap on and he pulled the trigger. I was over 50 yards away and my ears were ringing for an hour after that blast. The kid and the two next to him along with the officer were on the ground in front of a smoking hole about 8 inches deep.
