Vaccine Mandate #Resistance Growing; Dan Bongino Threatens to Walk Away From Cumulus Unless They Drop Their Vaccine Mandate

Before getting to that, here are a couple of other stories about people resisting Medical Fascism:

In-and-Out Burger, which is my favorite burger place and I've heard run by conservatives, blasts San Francisco for its decree that they must mandate vaccinations for customers, saying We will not be your vaccine enforcement police.

Beloved California burger chain In-N-Out is firing back against San Francisco's vaccine mandate. The company blasted the city after the Department of Public Health temporarily shut down its Fisherman’s Wharf location on Oct. 14 for not checking customers' vaccine cards. It's the only San Francisco restaurant that's been closed for violating the indoor vaccinate mandate, the health department said.

...

"We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government," In-N-Out's Chief Legal and Business Officer Arnie Wensinger said in a statement. "It is unreasonable, invasive, and unsafe to force our restaurant associates to segregate customers into those who may be served and those who may not, whether based on the documentation they carry, or any other reason."

The reason you can't get In-and-Out except in Southern California, Las Vegas, and apparently this one joint in San Francisco is that the family who owns the franchise won't actually franchise it. They do not believe they could maintain the quality of the stores if they were just licensed out to randos. Most of the stores are managed by family members or trusted friends.

So, unfortunately, the thing that keeps them high quality is also the thing that keeps them out of the hands of most.

But do try it if you're ever fortunate enough to come across one.

Delta's CEO says he doesn't want to impose "divisive mandates" and says the company has a nearly 100% vaccination rate without them.

Now, to be honest, I don't think you can get anywhere near 100% compliance with anything without coercion.

But at least he says he's resisting the mandate.

Now, just one week after the "weather" resulted in more than 1,000 Southwest Airlines flight cancellations amid rumors that pilots staged a "sick out" to protest the company's mandate, the CEO of Delta Air Lines flat-out said he opposes the mandate and doesn’t need one to get his employees vaccinated.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian told Fox Business' "The Claman Countdown" last week that refraining from enforcing the “divisive” federal mandate for his employees has been an effective tactic and that the company is approaching a nearly 100 percent vaccination rate.

...

He also stated the company will need to enact religious and medical exemptions to ensure that no one is facing termination over the mandate, according to Fox Business.

"By the time we're done, we'll be pretty close to fully vaccinated as a company without going through all the divisiveness of a mandate," Bastian explained. "We're proving that you can work collaboratively with your people, trusting your people to make the right decisions, respecting their decisions and not forcing them over the loss of their jobs."

Dan Bongino goes the furthest to resist the company mandate, despite being vaccinated himself.

His radio syndicator Cumulus is forcing vaccines on workers, and has announced that he'll leave Cumulus unless they drop the mandate.

"You can have me or you can have the mandate. But you can't have both of us."

Bongino has Rush Limbaugh's timeslot. He has 300 syndicated stations.

So he'd be walking away from real money if he carries through on his threat.

In late May, the massively influential radio network Westwood One debuted a new daily talk show from Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and New York City cop who gained stature in conservative media during the presidency of Donald Trump. The show occupies the noon-3 p.m. time slot once dominated by Rush Limbaugh, setting Bongino up as one of the key challengers for his audience.

Within two months, the show had reached distribution on more than 300 stations, which the company described as "impressive growth."

Now, Bongino is threatening to walk away completely. He has taken issue with a vaccination mandate imposed in August by Westwood One's owner, Cumulus Media. Chief executive Mary Berner gave all employees until Sept. 27 to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus before an expected return to the office and wrote that "it would neither be fair nor do we have the bandwidth to make exceptions based on individual preferences," according to industry publication Inside Radio.

Several Cumulus radio hosts have already quit or been terminated because of a stated preference not to be vaccinated for personal or medical reasons, and Bongino is threatening to join them. Though the host's team says that he has been vaccinated on the advice of his doctors because he has Hodgkin's lymphoma, Bongino is objecting to a mandate on behalf of rank-and-file employees who don't want to get vaccinated.

"I'm not really happy with the company I work with right here," Bongino told listeners on Monday. "I believe these vaccine mandates are unethical. I believe they're immoral. I believe they don't take into account the science of natural immunity due to a prior infection. I believe they’re broad-based and don't take into account an individual circumstances of why they may or may not want to take a vaccine. And they're antithetical to everything I believe in."

"So, I'll say again, I'm not going to let this go," Bongino added. "Cumulus is going to have to make a decision with me -- if they want to continue this partnership or they don't. But I'm talking to you on their airwaves. They don't have to let that happen. And I wouldn't mind if they didn’t. Because it’s really unfortunate that people with a lower profile than me, who don’t have 300-plus stations, have been summarily either shown the door or been put in really untenable circumstances because they simply want to make a medical decision by themselves."

If Cumulus Media does not relax the vaccination mandate, "this is going to be an entirely untenable situation going forward," said Bongino, who promised to revisit the subject every day until it is addressed.

If he leaves the network, Bongino would be the most prominent conservative media personality to quit a job over a vaccination mandate. Cumulus has not replied to emails from The Washington Post seeking comment.

This is what it takes: Not hashtags, but a few gutsy men willing to walk away from real money to vindicate a vital principle.

Bongino isn't effing around generally: he's also cancelling sponsors for snuggling up to fascist terrorist group antifa.

A leftist group pressured a security company called SimpliSafe to stop advertising on the Post-Millennial, because the Post-Millennial dared to pay Andy Ngo as a reporter. And the leftist group didn't like Andy Ngo reporting on antifa's violence and terror tactics.

Note that Dan Bongino wasn't being boycotted by SimpliSafe. They were advertising with him.

But to protest SimpliSafe's pro-terrorist boycott of the Post-Millennial, Bongino cancelled them.

"I had this sponsor, SimpliSafe, and they're a great company, I have no problem with the company at all," Bongino said. However, he noted the to-do with The Post Millennial and the details surrounding it.

...

Enter Jammi, who Bongino described as an individual who sits "in her basement, eating Mallomars, feeding her cats" and "in between that she likes to initiate boycotts of conservative websites, which is quite hilarious."

"So, cat-lady writes ... 'confirm: SimpliSafe is blocking its ads from The Post Millennial,'" Bongino said.

...

"Post Millennial may not have the assets I do," Bongino continued, "or the resources, or the time, or the 'go f*** yourself attitude' I have. I'm sure they do -- but they don't have the assets to fight back that I do, which are substantial, thanks to people like Nandini."

So, SimpliSafe can consider itself canceled from Bongino's platforms.

"When you push me, I push back. You tell me to stop talking, I talk more," Bongino said. "I thought, wouldn’t it be a good idea if we then told SimpliSafe 'you better retract that'? Well, they haven't yet -- so we canceled them."

The leaders live for hundreds of years, kind of like now.
They have good ideas and run things well, not like now.
But the most fun thing is to contemplate how having the big cities develop the ability to take off and fly away from Earth would improve things for the rest of us.

In the first novel, They Shall Have Stars, Blish portrays an America a *lot* like what we're facing now. His view was that the Soviets essentially would win the Cold War because the US, to defeat them, would become more and more like them. Not a pro-Commie novel at all. The position of FBI head is hereditary; the president is a stunningly popular man-on-horseback with no brains worth mentioning; and the last thing you want to do is come to the notice of the government. . . .

170 Oregon has a local burger place called Burgerville that is twice as good as any other burger place I've ever tried. Unfortunately they got screwed over by the city of Salem and the owner decided he didn't need a restaurant here any more.

Basically they wanted to expand a road and add in a bypass, so they moved all businesses, including the very lucrative Burgerville near there away.

Now the lot the Burgerville was on is still empty and open, it didn't have to be torn down.

CaliGirl - a former gf's son worked at one for a while - he said he was interviewed, as though it were a "real" job, and they even wanted to see his grades and school stuff. And they pay far more than comparable jobs at other places.

And ace, don't go luring Morons to CA with burger stuff. Everyone knows life here is impossible and dangerous. Why just yesterday I was informed here in the comments that my life expectancy is short because of where I am. If I disappear I guess you'll know that, yep, CA killed me.

Mine has traffic cones in the lot to route the cars, otherwise that's it. I think I've used the menu board/speaker thing all of half a dozen times in 10 years. They usually have somebody outside walking the line taking orders. Makes sense, because if you're 15 cars away from the menu, it's faster to go inside (which I've done plenty of times). Then there's the dicks that don't understand once they order they need to GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY so other people can order. So many dummies just sit there or have 5 car lengths empty in front of them, oblivious as to how it all works. It's a race with the people inside!

But you can bet he would have enforced the mandate if Delta wasn't reaching the "100 percent vaccination rate" on its own. So it was still a forced mandate wherein he counted on other pressures (and within the company, too) to get full compliance without the full authoritarian State stamp of approval that would have looked more sinister had it been necessary.

Pretty weak sauce as a defense of both a) company policy and b) stealth compliance with authoritarian dictates.

Since the pandemic, their locations have been crazy busy. The drive-through lane at the one near where I work is routinely backed up out of the parking lot and 100 feet down the street. I've renamed them to "In, Wait 30 Minutes, 'N Out" lately.

As busy as their other locations are, I'm sure they can more than afford to have one location partly closed for a while. Good for them for taking a stand and royally pissing off the panic-Karens -- one sarcastic comment that I saw on the local subreddit: "I'm glad someone is standing up for a burger joint's God-given right to sicken its customers." Burger King burgers have a wierd chemical aftertaste and Wendy's burgers make me feel literally ill afterward. I haven't eaten at either for ages. Jack in the Box is meh, nothing they make is very good except the ciabatta burger. Their tacos are godawful.

White Castle burgers make me want to puke, they are absolutely horrible. Its like they are deliberately bad just to see how awful they can taste and still sell.

It's interesting that they're actually cheaper than the McD's across the street. By a large margin. It's fun to watch them make French fries - they only use Kennebec potatoes - which I never see in any local markets. They've got one guy who's job all day is fries. Quite the floor show while you're waiting for your burger.

Chili fries were a meal by themselves. Place used to be a best-kept secret on a little sidestreet off of El Camino Real near Fry's Electronics. This is a gift to them, and you can bet the house they are doing all they can to get the media companies to follow through. That's why the Washington Post is sticking their nose in this one. Yep, an all day process. Five Guys is picky about their fries as well - posting the farm they came from and making the fries last for your order. But they're more like steak fries, and I don't need a grocery bag full of potatoes. The best fries (and burger TBH) IMHO is Habit Burger, another CA chain started in Santa Barbara. They char-grill the burgers, grilled onions are standard. Tastes like something I'd make, while In-N-Out doesn't. And their fries are fantastic. A regular combo is about $9. Great onion rings too - as well as fried zucchini and things like chicken clubs. Really good salads. I go way back with that place, happy we've got one sort of nearby.

So I think we shouldn't trust him, with good reason.

Always. Except some of the big chain market's ground beef is getting pretty bleh. I've noticed Safeway seems to be putting water into their ground beef as well. Thanks cocksuckers. A nearby market that's been in operation for over 90 years has 3 kinds of ground beef, their chuck is fantastic. Good enough that I avoid making burgers unless I can get their beef. Difference is like garden tomatoes in August vs. store bought crap in February. A local bakery makes great hamburger buns, and about 20% less than store varieties. I only hit the burger joints if I'm traveling and won't have time to do anything else.

They pay at top hourly rates, their employees are neat, clean and speak English. Great firm!
