President of the Leftwing Swamp Outfit The Niskanen Center Resigns In Disgrace After Reports That He Violently Attacked His Wife

These guys have been leftwing stooges opposing President Trump and real conservatism.

The Niskanen Center was formed after a leadership struggle within Cato Institute. The Koch brothers, who are also liberals, took over Cato.

The Niskanen Center was then started by Cato "libertarians" who didn't think the liberal Koch brothers were quite liberal enough.

Jerry Taylor, the co-founder and president of the Niskanen Center, recently resigned from the Washington, D.C.-based think tank after being charged with violently attacking his wife, according to court records obtained by POLITICO.
Taylor, who previously had been a longtime top official of the Cato Institute, was arrested in early June on a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member in Arlington, Va.
He denies the accusations, but says he pleaded guilty in exchange for the charges being dismissed as long as he successfully completes a domestic violence and substance abuse prevention program.
On the night in question, Taylor had been up late after celebrating his son's high school graduation. When his wife saw him drinking and using his iPad, she urged him to go to bed and threw his iPad in the trash, according to what she told a police officer who responded to the scene and wrote handwritten notes for a criminal complaint.
Taylor, 58, then allegedly pushed her onto the kitchen floor and put his hands around her neck and slapped her, the officer recorded in her notes. After she told him he shouldn't do that, Taylor allegedly pushed her out of the house and pushed her down the front steps, injuring her, according to the complaint.

Jerry Taylor has a history of violent ideation. The president of the supposed "libertarian" organization said vowed he "beat the brains in" of the McCloskey's, for the crime of brandishing (non-working) weapons to warn thugs to stop trespassing on their property.

I have the same problem. I cut the cord but I'm still a big YouTube viewer. I skip what ads I can skip, and support individual creators that I follow, but I wish I could eliminate YouTube from my routine entirely. The problem is, it's the very definition of a monopoly. There really isn't anything that's able to compete with it, and I hate that.

25 Cato isn't very liberal. They do some openish positions with which i do not agree. They also believe in free trade which is the de facto conservative position. However, many people who call themselves libertarian (including several writers at Cato) are happy to use the government to impose their "libertarian" ideals on others, which, of course, isn't libertarian.

The LP here in Pennsylvania used to be a pretty good outfit, maybe 20-25 years ago. They were trying to actually be a serious party rather than a bunch of potheads who wanted to sound like intellectuals. But eventually, as is always the case, they succumbed.

But until recently I had some general respect for people who were said they were libertarian. All these "libertarian", never Trump, Democratic supporters are killing the brand. The left ruins every ideology they get control of. At some point being liberal meant something good.

I feel like maybe 30-40 years ago it was a little bit of a serious movement.

But even then, didn't Ron Paul and one of the Koch run against Ronald Reagan for President under the Libertarian Party? Reagan probably did more for the case of smaller government than any politician in several generations. Its why I think Libertarians are basically just spoilers and don;t really want smaller government.

75 Where I identified with libertarians was I am socially moderate and I do feel like some conservatives were interested in hijacking a political movement and wanted to mold it into some sort of moral crusade.

But I actually think the GOP and the "religious right" is just not really there as much anymore. I also think "conservative" on social issues is now thinking that I don't want a drag queen in my kid's bathroom at school. What we used to call common sense and 90% of the nation was on the same page.

It is entirely possible. But it doesn't mean that you don't have immunity. All it means is that your body hasn't made antibodies for CCP flu in awhile, and the ones you had died off. But your body remembers the antigen (the virus) in other ways, and can mount an immune response very quickly.

CAT or others hopefully will comment. I was an immunologist, now retired. When you are exposed to a foreign stimulant like a virus, the B lymphocytes of your body respond by making antibodies. After you fight off infection, there are memory B cells, that are ready to respond, the next time you see the same antigen/virus/whatever. And they are optimized, the antibodies are optimized for fighting that antigen. So the response is quicker etc.
But! I suspect that such antibody production is not turned on unless you are challenged with the antigen again. So I can believe that antibody levels (titers) would be below detection. Why would your body be making antibodies to CV19, months after infection. That is not what your body does.* Otherwise, your body would be cranking out antibodies to every antigen you had ever been exposed to in the past.

*I am not an expert on antibodies. My area was genetics of the immune system and cytokines.
