Polls Turn Poisonous for Democrats as Biden Bungles and the Cities Bleed

Thanks to qdpsteve, Biden's numbers in Iowa are worse than Trump's ever were.

Thirty-one percent of Iowans approve of how Biden is handling his job, while 62% disapprove and 7% are not sure, according to the latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll.
That’s a 12 percentage point drop in approval from June, the last time the question was asked. Biden's disapproval numbers jumped by 10 points during the same period. In June, 43% approved and 52% disapproved.
Biden's job approval has not been in net positive territory in Iowa since March, when 47% of Iowans approved of his performance and 44% disapproved.

In other polling news, The Witch Whitmer has seen her approval fall by 11 points since the beginning of 2021.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's (D., Mich.) job approval rating has plummeted more than 10 points in the last year, according to a state poll.
The Glengariff Group, a Michigan survey research firm, found only 48 percent of voters approve of Whitmer's performance as governor, whereas 46 percent disapprove. In September 2020, the same poll found 59 percent of voters approved of Whitmer's leadership and 38 percent disapproved. The shift in opinions occurred most noticeably among independent voters.
Whitmer's lagging poll numbers come after a year of reports showed Whitmer repeatedly violating her own COVID health policies.

Democrats lose their voter registration in Florida.

Florida was once considered a battleground state, but whatever influence the Democrats had over the Sunshine State is swiftly disappearing as issue after issue plagues their efforts to gain momentum and their footholds are disappearing for the first time ever.
According to The Hill, Democrats are facing a myriad of issues such as a fundraising gap a mile wide when compared to the Florida GOP. This is on top of the fact that the voter registration advantage that they've held for years has effectively been destroyed, going from 700,000 more registered voters in the state to just 23,551 over the course of 2008 to today.

DeSantis has also reduced their opportunity to steal elections.

At the same time, Democrats are facing daunting structural challenges, including Republican-led redistricting and a controversial new election law pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) that puts new restrictions on the collection of mail-in ballots and the use of drop boxes.
"It feels a little bit like we're kind of set up to fail," one Florida Democratic official said. "It's not any one person’s fault. A lot of these problems have existed for years. But for a party that has been decimated in the last few elections and especially the last one, I'm not seeing a sense of urgency yet."

And there are warning sides even in Blue Virginia:

Joe Biden won Virginia 54-44% in 2020. It wasn't close, and this race between Youngkin and McAuliffe shouldn't be either. A month ago, the narrative was beginning to form that Youngkin was not only dead in the water, but that he’d be absolutely shellacked on election day. Now, he's actually within striking distance to possibly pull the upset in a state that has become a blue bastion thanks to Northern Virginia's heavy leftward transformation.

Virginia's Republican interregnum was an outlier. Returning to the Democrat fold is a return to the norm. There are plenty of red counties here, but people do not live in them. I think (I should know, I wasn't born here so I did not get this in 7th grade civics class) there are 100 counties. 50 of them have less than 20k inhabitants. Obviously, the rapid growth of Fairfax/Prince William/Loudon counties with hundreds of thousands of lefty government employees, contractors, lobbyists, etc, has been the biggest thumb on the scale, but it's more than that. I grew up in Henrico, which used to be very reliably Republican. It's now pretty safely Dem territory. The growth of the wealthy West End has brought in a lot of wine mom white gentry types from the northeast.

The boy is 15 and in high school, but failing all classes. He is an unpushable rope. I fear for him but can do very little, since he has no shame and cannot apparently think beyond "what I want right now, give it." Once he is 16 I can enroll him in AMYA (local military school for losers), but until then we trudge along. I'm pretty much his emotional punching bag, but I tolerate all of it because there is really nothing for it. His psychopathy messes with his ADHD. It's a toxic combination.

Trump won MI (10,700), WI (22,700) and PA (44,200) by the thinnest of margins in 2016. All by ~1% or less. And all were long-time Blue states. So Trump taking those states was shocking. Biden taking them back in 2020 was not shocking at all, it was expected. Since 2016 was the anomaly, not 2020.

And if all things were equal from 2016, Democrats only needed to flip those states back to Blue and they had the Presidency. They didn't even need GA or AZ. But they stole those states too, because they could.

Trump won 2016 EC 304-227. MI(16) + WI(10) + PA(20) = 46. Those 3 states change 304-227 to 258-273.

Since MI, WI and PA are still solidly in Democrat control, they will not be flipping to Republican in 2024. So even flipping AZ and GA, GOP still loses in 2024.

The boy is not evil; if he were, I would have found a way to jettison him years ago. He has a broken brain, with which he was born. It is his genetics and he had no choice. While bio-kids are somewhat but not entirely predictable, when you adopt, it's pretty darned random.

Assuming that there even is a margin of fraud any longer. That is the big outstanding question for 2022 and 2024, is there any actual limit to the level of cheating the Democrats can get away with. Real votes will bury the Democrats in the next two election cycles. But will real votes be enough?

In the meantime, still, check out Rosemond, who has good advice for parents of kids that are extremely stubborn. (Basically his advice is that parents need to be even more stubborn and sticklers for the rules.)

You are not the first and probably not the last with this advice. I appreciate it, but it is not a lack of discipline or standing strong or adhering to a system that is his doom. DH and I are the North Star. Sometimes there is just nothing to do but love.

I have struggled with this...at what point will even Dem operatives turn and decide not to risk it...leaving only die hard true believers to commit out in the open crimes...crimes they too will decide is too risky?

You can see the cascading effect starting to happen here where the Dem party apparatus that requires loyal minions begins to dissolve itself.
