I am going with a congregation member to her brother's viewing and funeral. He was a Agnostic and I am not officiating at the service because I don't know anyone but her They told her he died, but didn't tell her about the arrangements and they didn't list her name in the obituary (!)because they are still mad about something to do with her mother's will. It doesn't sound good. Please pray for peace-and for lack of a better phrase-that people "keep their mouths shut" about other issues and just remember the man they all loved, (sigh!) I built a 4500 sq.ft. hip-roof pole barn (with nice stone on the front and side) behind our restaurant to house a catering kitchen and the wife's flower shop a few years ago. Since then, I've been to meeting after meeting, paying my engineers to interpret regulations and drawing plans to satisfy the township, drain commissioner, state highway commission, county road commission and a half dozen other bureaucrats. Today, they insisted I give up half the parking and close the entrance off the main road.
Fuck them. I withdrew my application for a change of use permit and will now just use the building for storage. Everything else is grandfathered in, so they can't touch it. We bought a garden center to move the flower shop into, so I just have to find another place with an existing kitchen to use for the catering. I can't believe these petty tyrants have the power to screw with people wanting to create jobs.

I don't necessarily think that's how it all works.
Clinesmith plead guilty to falsifying emails, which means he had to be charged and indicted, whether that whole process has to go through a formal grand jury to give their dominus vobiscum or some other process is unknown to me as I am not a lawyer.
The fact that they are making a big deal of Durham going to a grand jury to get the indictment is that it's essentially chum and boob bait for bubbas.
Again, Durham has been on the job for 880 days and the best he can muster is some nonsense indictment on the last possible day he can indict?

The strategy is sound, but it's going to take some time. Elder is the most important Republican in CA, as of yesterday. He needs to use his platform to purge the CA GOP, and reorganize the party to hammer home a freedom message while CA burns. When CA gets totally unlivable - and not one day before - only then will the muddled middle get over their revulsion for the pro-life movement (which will never take hold in CA anyway) and vote Republican. The CA electorate needs to love their liberty more than they love their right to abortion - which, again, will never get taken away in a state like CA, no matter which Republican ever gets elected.

There is a very good book about this called "Forgive and Forget" Healing the Hurt we don't deserve" By Lewis Smedes. It's written from the perspective of a man who was a Christian-a very wise man so it may not be appropriate for everyone. but he was also a counselor and I think it's been a helpful book for many people.

And don't leave out the obese. Why should other people have to pay for treatment for diseases like diabetes that are caused by peoples' decisions to overeat?
If the government is going to penalize the non-vaccinated for their personal choices, then everybody else should be subjected to the same standard. That means no treatment for drug addicts, no treatment for AIDS patients who engaged in promiscuous sex, no treatment for gang members who got shot or stabbed, no treatment for fat people with obesity-related conditions, no treatment for slutty women who got knocked up or got STD's, etc.

What's really sad is that this whole debacle has caused me to seriously doubt medical care in general. I've been harmed before by docs going along with medical convention and this last mess has just about ruined my faith in modern medicine. Which obviously makes sense when you think about it. Much of modern medicine does extend lives & that is great. But some lives are merely extended months. Again, that is great. But modern medicine has nothing on ancient genetics.

For those interested, the article has more detail on whether there was a "prophetic gap" which indicates "two comings" and a period between them ... the great mystery of the one body. I thought it was commonly accepted in Judaism, but maybe not.

Yup, we don't hire any other kind of people. Junior agents and their CIs from each field office (the ones who aren't in prison for chomping out at swinger parties). A couple of senior agents, too, in case nobody else is dumb enough to cause an incident, and we have to do it ourselves.

So I'm way, way late to this party, but I'll share my experiences.
My ex-wife became my ex wife when she slept with at least two other men.
I moved out, and we have been able to maintain our (to my mind) excellent co-parent relationship. I don't trust her with anything emotional, and when my kids are old enough to understand, I'll explain more, but she loves them the way I'd hope a mom loves her kiddos.
My parents are paying for her defense team throughout everything. They are paying a significant portion of her (formerly our) bills to help her maintain the house the way she wants. They have absolutely disowned me, as have all of my extended family, as best I can tell. Cousins, my remaining grandmother, et al.
I will not ever forgive to the point I can have a relationship with my family again. My soul won't hold onto this, but my mind absolutely will.
Watch your six with your sister-in-law. She'll likely not stop undermining you.
