Marjorie Taylor Greene Rips GOP in Rant

I had just wondered, "Where is Mitch McConnell regarding Biden's imposition of fascism?"

Where are the other "leaders"?

MJT was thinking the same.

@mtgreenee

Dear Colleagues,

Since Dictator Joe Biden started phase 1 of the Dems' Communist takeover of America yesterday & I don't have a GOP Conference call on my calendar or an email in my inbox from leadership to stop this insanity, well I'm going to be more direct than usual.

After all, I ran for Congress because when Republicans controlled the House and Senate during the first two years of Trump's presidency, they failed to deliver key issues that were of utmost importance to Republican voters.

Broken campaign promises like:

Repealing Obamacare. Obamacare took my families premium from $800 to over $2400

Funding and building a border wall. Rs funded all kinds of things for foreign countries but wouldn't build a wall for Americans.

Defunding Sanctuary cities. Rs funded cities who harbor illegal aliens.

Defunding Planned Parenthood. During the first two years under Trump, Rs couldn't even defund that disgusting abortion mill. No, they funded it.

That's the the one I really can't get over.

Remember that big Omnibus that Trump was so angry over, the one that made us all furious?

Trump said never put another bill like this across my desk and the Republicans gave our great President no other option.

It can not be overstated that when Republicans don't do what they say, they give no reason for people to support them.

Along with millions of R voters, it was then that I realized that if Republicans can't accomplish the most important and easiest of campaign promises, when they held a strong majority with a President like Trump, then they never will.

So I ran for Congress and here I am.

I give speeches to hundreds to thousands of Republican voters every single week at home and all across the country.

Our voters are fed up with Republicans in Congress doing nothing to stop Dictator Joe Biden and the outright destruction to our country.

You see, Republicans have a razor thin minority in the House, only short a few votes.

This puts maximum pressure on Pelosi to perform because she can't lose any votes, she needs her full conference to pass bills.

And perform she does. I respect her for that.

Easy to perform when Republicans in the House apply no real pressure even though Democrat bills are so heinously un-American.

The Communist Democrat agenda could be beat if my colleagues would legislate and take action the way many give interviews on TV.

"But Marjorie you're just a freshman, you don't understand how it's done."

Really?

The political pendulum has swung back & forth between Rs & Ds for decades & we're $30 trillion in debt, on the brink of communism, at risk of economic collapse, being drug into full dependence on a global economy, & the experienced Rs want to lecture me on how it's done?

It's beyond me that my Conference still chooses to stay with the "messaging" and fundraising tactic to take back the House and haven't comprehended what everyone else on the planet knows to be true.

We won't have a Constitution or country left to take back in '22 and definitely not in '24, if Republicans in Congress don't get their asses in gear.

If Republicans are worth their weight in salt then they better wake up and realize that they are leaving their own with no confidence and feeling like they have to take matters in their own hands.

Here is what must be done.

Impeach Joe Biden.

The GOP Conference must come together with Articles of Impeachment. Spend as much money as it takes to apply pressure on moderate Dems that know they will lose their seats if they vote NO on impeachment.

For the Republicans who are rolling your eyes saying it can't be done, that exact attitude is everything wrong with our conference and your voters hate it.

I witnessed 10 Rs vote to impeach Trump and 11 Rs vote with Dems to kick me off committees. Those traitorous votes are exactly why we fail to achieve our goals.

Mock me & be angry at me all you want, but it's business as usual that fails.

And even our enemies know it.

We may be short only a few votes but Biden has burned his own voters and many in his party.

We start with Biden and go down the list.

They are ALL responsible and ALL impeachable.

Republicans must take action or face the devastating reality of losing the trust and confidence of Republican voters going into '22, and many are already on the fence bc of the election and lack of real effort to fix it by elected Rs.

Ever since I've been in Congress, I have legislated exactly the way I talk on TV and in speeches. Minority or majority should not matter. We should fight just as hard no matter what.

Do what we say we are going to do and fight no matter what.

After all that's what the 13 American soldiers did that Joe Biden killed. They followed orders and did the job they were told to do. Why can't Republicans in Congress do the same damn thing even if it looks hard?

Here is what doesn't work.

GOP Conference calls & meetings that are nothing but altar calls for money.

Yes we have to raise money to take the House, but I will no longer be silent about half of the 20 "Republicans" that are benefactors of all that money for reelection.

The top 20 Republicans that the NRCC fights for contain 4 Republicans that voted to impeach Trump and 6 that voted to kick me off committees. And 1 did both.

They call these moderate Republicans (or really some are Democrats in disguise) "majority makers."

While yes we as a conference have to fight harder to win and keep tight districts, we should not promote weak Republicans to chairmanships, help pass their crappy bills, and highlight them on Fox News all the time.

Those weak and moderate Republicans don't reflect the values of our base or our party. Why are they the ones diluting the decisions and stopping the fight?

Hence back to where I started on why I ran for Congress, Republican failures to do what they said they would do.

Since I have paid all $175,000 of my conference dues, I have every single right to talk about how the money should be spent.

It should be spent on electing Republicans who will act like Republicans and not just play one on TV.

Because in case you all weren't paying attention, Joe Biden went full dictator yesterday and said out loud that this was just step one.

I've already submitted 4 different Articles of Impeachment on Joe Biden. I'm proud of my few colleagues who cosponsored and so are Republican voters all over America. But we are waiting on the rest of the conference to do what our voters are screaming for.

I want more than anyone to take back the House in '22 and take it all in '24, but I also want my party to save this country from these old communists who radicalized decades ago to destroy it from within.

Right now I have no confidence in the current leadership to do their job effectively to stop the Democrats unprecedented attack on our freedoms and our children's future because they are taking no action to prove it.

They are the first to throw me under the bus even though the entire base and their own voters and donors support me.

Prioritizing fundraising, press releases, and public messaging without organizing, communicating, and strategically planning with our conference to actually stop an extremely vulnerable and weak president is unbelievable to me.

The Democrats impeached Trump for a phone call and a 3 hour riot and Biden is IMPEACHABLE for high crimes and treason.

The Democrats want every Republican head on a platter and two feckless Republicans are on their witch hunt committee to make it happen and we can't even kick those 2 traitors out of our own conference!

Yes I am breaking the 11th commandant and believe me I love Ronald Reagan.

But I refuse to sit by silent and watch our constitution burned like a sacrifice to the false gods of Marxism and our children's future sliced up and served on a silver platter to Communist China.

I'm going to continue my promise to put The People over the politicians and fight like hell to Save America!

Like many of you, I go back and forth on this issue:

Is it worse to continue propping up the corrupt, ineffectual Republican wing of the Uniparty, telling them that I will continue to support them no matter how much they betray me and my country, or is it worse to suffer a truly cataclysmic loss of power and fill Congress up with Democrats?

Up until now, I have thought the latter was worse, and have acted accordingly.

Now, I think the former is worse. We cannot go on and on supporting these corrupt corporate liberals posing as "conservatives" and expect anything to change.

Maybe it's time that conservatives took a page from NeverTrump and "taught the party a lesson" by supporting Democrats.

19 Should we start supporting Democrats? Well, let's see. Let's use this as a litmus test.

Are there any Democrats - let's call them Greenwaldian - speaking out against Joe Biden's forced injections EO? I don't ask that rhetorically, I fully expect there will be some. I recall reading a few this morning. It seems like There Are Rumblings.

I think that's a good place to start. I think some of them were even from Florida. Let's take a good hard look at who their "Republican" opponents are and decide if it's absolutely imperative that those Democrats be replaced.

My view is to burn the party to the ground. Turn the entire country over to the Dems. No, that's not what we voted for, but it sure as hell is what the GOP voted for, so I say throw every one of them out of office.

But, as I said on another thread, my fear is that come next year the GOP is going to blackmail us by saying, in effect, "look what happens when Dems are in charge! You have to vote for us - you have nowhere else to go!" And too many on "our side" will fall for it.

Not me. Not one dime, not one vote.

69 I forget sometimes, what with being as 29 as I am, that for anyone lower end Gen X and younger, the House going back and forth between the parties is normal.
Whereas I was a 2L in 1994 when the Dems always hold the House no matter what was broken. It is a very different set of political formation when you watch the House switch parties as a kid and teenager as opposed to the Dems rule being the norm.

I have been ambivalent about caring about anything she says because I feel like everyone wants me to care about what she says and I am obstinate like that. But all of what she said is true.

I am still ashamed of how utterly and completely I bought into the Paul Ryan myth and I thought, I did, I did wholeheartedly, that bills would be lined up like planes on a runway beginning January 20, 2017. I believed. Because I am a fool.

There is still no true reckoning by Con, Inc. about how the 2018 losses where tied to the 2017-2018 betrayal *spits on McCain's grave* and how nothing, not one damn thing, has been done since then by Con, Inc. to address the face stabbing done by the GOP.

Quite the contrary. The globalists had unquestioned power since the first Bush, until Trump. He not only threatened them, but forced them to unleash bioweapons on America just to put him out of the presidency.

I hardly believe patriots are "in control," but that last four years offered them vast advantages.

In short, Kevin McCarthy is helping to fundraise for 5 of the 10 GOP Reps that voted to impeach Trump for what happened on 6 Jan 2021. He can't do it for Cheney and Kinzinger, because it's too open, but he can for Upton, Meijer, Valadao, Beutler and Katko.

78 Well, yeah, it's tough. Parties are coalitions. For every MGT, you get a MFR (Mitt Fucking Romney). Actually, I think the ratio is quite a bit worse than 1:1, but you get the idea. And so you gotta throw the liberals a bone once in a while. Or, rather, everyone needs to get a bone. The bones need to be distributed fairly. There needs to be an equitable distribution of bones. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The real problem with the GOP is that too many of them are just slow-motion Democrat. As Yarvin put it, "Cthulhu only swims left." Our culture keeps moving left. Our politics keeps moving left. The most liberal Republican should be saying no to everything the Democrats want. The conservative Republicans should be pushing the laws rightward. But as it happens, the GOP consists of maybe 25% B-Team Democrats, 50% Slow Motion Democrats, and 25% actual conservatives.

The dilemma is even more acute now, because we aren't just dealing with Democrats. These people really aren't Democrats anymore than the Republicans are small government conservatives. That's pure dictator talk. Every dictator in history has argued that freedoms, norms, and eventually PEOPLE had to be sacrificed in the name of safety, security, some grand utopian vision, and the dictator himself.

GOP have constantly lied to us by saying things like, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." Or telling you that the public favor will swing back to our side when they see how bad the left are.

For the last sixty years we have been losing the cultural battle and the norms of society are not just blind to Biden's talk, THEY WANT IT. If GOP are MIA in the face of Biden's pure dictator talk, we need to burn the party down and install dozens of Boeberts and MTGs.

Perfect strategy for Colorado. The Front Range has been fully colonized and has turned CO become a consistent, solid blue state courtesy of the density there. CO outside of the Front Range and the ski towns, though, is pretty damned conservative. They're miserable and they hate it (I know - I fled). This is thus a great strategy. They run run the fake conservatives on Team Red outside the Front Range and put up desultory resistance from Democrats. The "Republican" gets elected, the natives are placated for a few cycles, and they still pick up a seat.

Makes perfect sense to me.

The GOP needs to be replaced. Either by taking over the party, or by creating a new party. Con Inc. appears to only care about their ability to grift and pay back big donors. They don't care about things like Planned Parenthood -- culture war issues help keep donations coming in from the rubes.

175 Republicans like Greene need to start ratting out the others. Not a general letter like this. I mean the meat and potatoes of how it really works. For example, repealing Obamacare. Someone needs to start leaking the minutes from these Conference discussions naming names and who said exactly what. Someone like Greene needs to do a daily comment that addresses when a McConnel aid shows up in her office pressuring her to support pro-Chinese legislation. In other words, shine direct sunlight on it all.

We keep hearing about the inner workings of politics. Let's see it in a factual, real time way..name names and expose the "gentlemen's extortion" for what it is.

It was apparent by 2007 that The GOP was a useless pile of Dog Shit, which is why the Tea Party was formed, returned the GOP to power and was quickly infiltrated and scuttled, which is why Trump won in 2016 and was quickly undermined and dispatched via fraudulent elections which is why any attempts to lead the party to the light will not succeed.

It's literally not possible to delouse the party or reform it, and as you say, it needs to be utterly destroyed and replaced.

MTG is dead right - the Republican party needs to be burned to the ground. Keeping them in power has enabled the Marxist Party to be on the brink of seizing control permanently. The problem is the Dems have over decades built up mirror organizations from NGOs to 'independent' research groups to law firms devoted to suing conservative pols and extracting money from any government all used to destroy any conservatives that gain notoriety.

A GOP challenger isn't just fighting his opponent. He's fighting all of those organizations and a GOPe too cowardly to organize organizations to fight the tidal waves of Leftist initiatives, pols, and lawfare.

I don't see a new party being able to overcome that institutional structural dominance. There is no way to replicate the GOP outside of existing structures. Trump's group had the best shot and was completely frozen out of advancing an alternative.

That's a good list. I would not hesitate to cross party lines (though I'm independent) to purge that select company. They are outwardly sabotaging Conservatives and the supposed GOP. They can impose undue influence on the party supermajority without even voting. Their Left of Center advocacy pushes the party left because of "fear" of a lost vote. Better to get them out of influence and reposition the party in their absence for a stronger push in the next election cycle.

255 147 I'm not particularly familiar with all the Congressional minutiae. What's this $175,000 dues thing she's talking about?
Posted by: Wally

The GOP leadership (Dems do this as well) assign "dues": a certain amount of money you need to raise for the party committee for your chamber. Leadership is then supposed to use that money to fund swing seats and pick up opportunities, as challengers have a harder time raising funds than incumbents. If you are on a high profile committee where you can raise more money, your dues are higher than if you are on committees where you can't raise as much, and the more senior you are the higher the dues are. It isn't legally binding or anything, but leadership wants strong fundraisers in committees that have a potential to raise a lot of money, so if the perception is you are lazy and uncooperative, you don't get put on committees leadership is counting on to help fund challengers.

No, his biggest mistake was not getting any scalps early on and hanging them from a pole at the castle gates. There was no fear instilled in his enemies. And, they not only took that to mean "business as usual," they ramped it up. Fake investigations, leaking phone calls, false accusations, ignoring attorney/client priv, jailing his most adamant supporters. All of these acts and more were emboldened because the message sent (not sent) was that there would be no repercussions.

This led to the 2020 election where they turned it up another notch and actually just stole the election. Why not? What was the downside? What happens if they get caught. Nada.

More circular thinking. Handing power to the GOP IS - by definition - handing power to the Democrats.

What happened the last time you gave the GOP the House, Senate, and White House ? The GOP stalled their own President, for two years, before purposely dropping the House. Two years after that - the GOP cooperated with the biggest election fraud scheme ever undertaken - to eliminate their own candidate.

At best - voting GOP is a race. The winners get to die of old age before the GOP/DNC conflux totally crashes the country. Cold comfort for your kids and grand-kids.

1. First and foremost, primary all in the pansy Republican list. Some will win if they contrast themselves to the business-as-usual Republicans. Make sure the challengers are firebrands like Marjorie Taylor where possible.

2. Campaign to take back the Senate and House but overriding the vapor the entrenched Republican candidates will put out with speeches and promises with some real meat in them.

3. When the House and Senate are won, put people like Marjorie Taylor in upper leadership positions. Use some of the same tactics AOC uses. Have retorts and rebuffs ready for the Democrat's media arm.

4. Maybe we should add a position on how broadcast rights are allocated and why minority views seem to be the only thing broadcast. Speak freely all you want but those FCC-protected airwaves belong to the public for the public good.

Posted by: grammie winger at September 10, 2021 03:49 PM (45fpk)

370 Now, I think the former is worse. We cannot go on and on supporting these corrupt corporate liberals posing as "conservatives" and expect anything to change.

Maybe it's time that conservatives took a page from NeverTrump and "taught the party a lesson" by supporting Democrats.

Holy Shit Ace, you're pitching right into my wheelhouse here!
With one caveat: It's a bridge too far to expect many of us to support a democrat. The ones we could have supported are long since dead and those remaining we wish were.
No, I couldn't bring myself to vote D, but I sure could see myself and millions of others staying home. That way when the post-election analysis is over they'll be able to see, not a sea-change in attitudes towards the left, but a bailing out of support for the so-called right.
Yes the net result will be a super-majority D congress and that entails risk but we're so over the edge with the traitors in our midst that short of shooting, I see no other way to get rid of them.

371 Semantics note..I think it is time to stop calling the Opposition "Communists" and " Marxists". There are still a goodly amount of naive people that take in the original theory (never done in practice) and think of those things as "equality" and " power to the working people" etc. What the Opposition is is Fascists. Textbook Fascists. Elites of government and business and media colluding for their own power and wealth. Fascism isn't quite so beloved by the naive masses. Let's try to use the proper term.

Supporting people outside both works just as well. It makes the GOP head's explode, and yeah, they might not win (Larry Elder), but it is worth a try to get people in there that care about the country.

Trump and his allies should create a list of who they support. It is still up to us to do our homework, but I betcha those would be way better than the current crop of crap. I hate the GOP more than the Democrats. I would never vote for a Democrat, but I am looking for outsiders from the those pushed in our faces.

373 Mark Levi's idea (from a long time ago) is to single out one Republican to vote against each election to make an example of them. But Republican voters are generally too dumb and disorganized for strategic voting.

375 I think the real target should be the GOPe money men. Threatening them should help put pressure on the squishes since they only answer to the money men.

Oh, I expect the (real) turnout to be very, very low this next election.

I'm not an abused wife in my analogy. I'm simply a spouse that wants a divorce. If my spouse doesn't then I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

378 For me a properly functioning Congress is where every scrap of legislation is fought over with the same effort it took to win . What I want every time is 537 dead political bodies on the floor with my guy or gal left standing. Bi-partisanship is surrender and if you happen to be the GOP, which, except for brief periods in Congress was the minority since Roosevelt, is exactly the same as getting a participation trophy. This has resulted in the GOP being the party of Miss Lindsey Graham and her angry hands and all that means (i.e. in it for themselves). Change this and we have a shot at a functioning country. Don't and we will get a Marxist USSA.

379 "Maybe it's time that conservatives took a page from NeverTrump and 'taught the party a lesson' by supporting Democrats."

No. I will not vote at all before I cast a ballot for the "Democratic" Party - the party of slavery, the party of the Klan, the party of lynching, the party of the Trail of Tears, the party of the Japanese internment, the party of Jim Crow, the party of CRT. Look at any toxic movement in American history, and most likely you'll see a Democrat behind it. Greene is right, we need to fight them tooth and nail; but voting *for* them is not the way to do it.

Well, a bunch of governors certainly responded. So, naturally, Joe threatened them.

382 JROD, I have to agree. The R's are the party the voting R's have allowed it to become no different than the D's now being taken over by whackjob leftists. The time for being left alone is over. Only the dead know the end of war--and politics.

Pretty much every evil that this nation has been afflicted by, the Democrats have been the driving force. Abortion, all the stuff you list, everything. They pushed these horrors and keep inventing new ones.

I can work with that and often do. The Uniparty is somewhat of a mixed thing. It is a mix of Fascism and Marxism, more in the style of the Chicoms. My current thinking it the Uniparty is more F than M at this time. What they most certainly are is totalitarians.

387 I sent this post to my rep. When I contacted him about the Steal, his eventual statement calling the election into question could have been lifted from my email. I do not actually think I have sway with him, but I'll be watching to see what he does.

389 I have one and only one complaint about Greene's righteous rant:
"It should be spent on electing Republicans who will act like Republicans and not just play one on TV."
should really be...
"It should be spent on electing Republicans who will act like CONSTITUTIONALISTS and not just play one on TV."

As to THIS, though:
"Maybe it's time that conservatives took a page from NeverTrump and 'taught the party a lesson' by supporting Democrats."
F*** NO. H*** NO.
If you want to sit at home, fine. But if you vote for a Democrat you're not helping matters, and you will be a VILLAIN.

390 I can't see how supporting crappy Republicans over dems is worse, one will be weak and ineffective, the other will build camps to put you in.

The thought should be to still support Republicans, but try to make the liberal wing Republicans the minority, which will cause people like Mitch and Lindsey to lose thier positions and retire in embarrassment. Those two won't lose even if we start going Never-GOP, so we'd only be hurting ourselves.

Support good Republican candidates, make sure the house and Senate go back to the GOP, then let thre new breed of actual conservatives push the flakey ones into retirement.

Sorry Ace, I can't do the 'cut my nose off to spite my face' thing, and support Democrats. What I can do is enthusiastically work for and support any conservative who primaries the GOP squishes screwing up our lives.

In key races, not all of them.
Like, say, against Kevin McCarthy.

I'll vote for a Dem over my azzhole congresscreep, Adam Kinzinger. Don't give a damn if the Dem is a Bernie Socialist, Kinzinger needs to go. Actually, he should run as a Dem.

Most of the county Rep organizations in our district have voted to censure Kinzinger. I think there are 3 declared opponents for the primary, conservatives need to unite behind one.

393 Born, raised, living in CA for almost 2/3 of my life. In my youth, I voted for 'the best person for the job'. Now? You couldn't pay me to vote for another Democrat. I watched the best place on the planet on it's slide to the worst place on the planet, and it was mostly there by the time I left.

Not voting for them. However, I do support every one of us that gets one of those daily calls for cash from some version of the GOP to tell them 'not one more penny' until they do what they were elected to do. Not a cent. Not a hat. Not a plastic mug. Not a signature on a petition. Zippo. They don't care about the country, they care about the money.

So don't feed the beast. And tell them WHY.

396 It is really very simple. What has supporting the GOP gotten you? Take a look around and see where we are, that is what they have done for you. Time to stop electing the same excuses and vote only for fighters. It is the only way to change what we are seeing.
