And when politics and science mix, science loses. The government scientists spoke the truth, everything else was misinformation and banned.

The family of coronaviruses is fairly common. It along with rhinovirus, adenovirus and enterovirus typically cause symptoms of the common cold. A vaccine which can tackle some or all of these viruses would be a windfall for any pharmaceutical company. Cure for the common cold. But it does not exist. Prior to 2020, we have never successfully made a vaccine against the coronavirus. Prior to 2020, we have also never made a vaccine using the mRNA technology. But, within months of isolating SARS COV-2, we not only have a vaccine against a coronavirus, but one using mRNA technology, AND near simultaneous release by several companies globally.

Benefit outweighs risk. Decisions we make all the time in medicine. But in the less vulnerable population? Let's wait a spell. There are two novel aspects to this vaccine. In the '90s I was prescribed Seldane, now recalled. 'Twas the only thing that ever worked against the sinus/migraine-ish headaches I used to have then. Looking at the ingredients (caffeine!) that were in Seldane, I think now I'd have done as well to wash some ibuprofen and No-Doz pills down with a couple of Cokes.

The latest I'm reading on the Pfuckup vaccine, is that the antibodies it creates, only stop the virus from badly infecting the lungs, not the Nasal passages. Thus, the symptoms are much less, more like a bad cold.
Which means people are getting it, ignoring it, going into public, and spreading it. Same dealio with the other variants.
Covid is here to stay. Best defense against it is getting it and getting over it.

Yep, proton pump inhibitors have a lot of issues, kidney disease being one. Talked with doctor when my mother had to go on this stuff - but at 94, we figured it wasn't really a risk. Yeah, you should talk to doctor about this stuff.

John Sullivan and a couple of others were tasked with finding some enthusiastic supporters, and taking them upstairs to be executed. If Ashli hadn't gone through the window, somebody else would have. The cops with rifles easily could have stopped them. Even a little pepper spray. But the idea was to start a full fledged riot. Unfortunately for them, that's not how it went down.

No. It doesn't even make any fcuking sense either, at this point. If you weren't vacc'd, you probably got it naturally. Especially if you were Fcuking healthcare worker. Its as if these medical professionals, aren't making the decisions from a medical perspective but from a marketing/political perspective. The vaccs only gives you immunity to the spike protein. Which is one of like 5 proteins on the virus and the one that mutates the fastest. If you got it naturally, you have immunity to all of the proteins. So even if S mutates, you are still granted protection from the immunity you developed to the other four proteins, which don't mutate as much. The vax does give you a lot of antibodies right away to the S protein, more than you get from surviving the natural infection, but it tapers off over time, and really only applies to one specific protein, which mutates quickly.
Its not really a vaccine like we normally think of them.

I agree with some others that this was probably a negligent discharge. I saw him in pictures inside the crowded chamber FFS with what looks like his finger in the trigger guard, basically muzzle sweeping the room while holding a newpaper under his arm and walking around.
I can totally believe he took a "defensive position" believing that there may be an imminent breach of people from the hallway, and like the complete idiot he is, did so with his finger on the trigger. Then like the coward-idiot he is, he unwittingly put 4+lbs of pressure on the trigger without intending the discharge. Then made up his "warning" and other bullshit after the fact.
In a civil case I doubt his "warning" BS will hold up. If no one next to him "heard it" then surely Ashley didn't either. And of course, no warning was ever given.

In WA, leaving a gun unsecured where kid MIGHT get ahold of it is illegal. The way the law is written, there's no definition of how likely it could be. Typically these situations are under the jurisdiction of federal and state law. In this case there is no state because Washington DC is a thing unto itself. He most certainly could, and in my opinion should, face prosecution under federal law most likely for civil rights violations. That is not even remotely realistic given the nature of the DOJ is not about pursuing justice but persecuting people the Uniparty despises. The best path would be in a civil lawsuit where the standard is a preponderance of the evidence as opposed to beyond a reasonable doubt. Of course this would only result in monetary damages. By the way, a small gripe of my own. The CDC's system for reporting outcomes and side effects has one interface: a smart-phone app. Well, guys, the most vulnerable population - we geezers - are the ones least likely to use said interface. I've never used an app, and I'm a former senior software engineer in telecommunications. This means that the the CDC statistics are skewed, perhaps fatally so: it's the "Writer's Digest" polling blunder all over again. The arrogance of these people is matched only by their stupidity.
