New York's New Governor Admits An Additional 12,000 Covid Deaths, Which Had Been Concealed By Cuomo for Emmy-Campaigning Purposes

I guess his excuse will be, "I'm Italian! Italians always lowball the death count! Gabbaguul, paesan!!!"

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul promised more government transparency on her first day in office and by day's end her administration had quietly delivered it by acknowledging nearly 12,000 more deaths in the state from COVID-19 than had been publicized by her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo.
New York now reports nearly 55,400 people have died of COVID-19 in New York based on death certificate data submitted to the CDC, up from about 43,400 that Gov. Cuomo had reported to the public as of Monday, his last day in office.
"We're now releasing more data than had been released before publicly, so people know the nursing home deaths and the hospital deaths are consistent with what's being displayed by the CDC," Hochul said Wednesday on MSNBC.

Though it's kind of funny, concealing/reducing death count, when clearly the opposite problem - over-counting C19 fatalities - is the actual issue overall. Birx her own self mentioned the likelihood of over-counting when new guidelines were issued in spring '20, and there have been spectacular individual cases of distortion revealed (the motorcycle crash death in FL attributed to C19, etc). And one county in CA, without much detailed explanation I can recall, suddenly redefined their death count dramatically a few months ago.

But I'm not aware of any systematic attempt to get a more accurate count. A related issue is whether the PCR test yielding positive results for influenza, mistakenly ID'd as C19, is itself a significant inflator of the fatality stats.

68 I don't know Mark, I think fragile elderly people, like those in nursing homes were at fairly high risk of dying FROM the original covid strain. Germany would have parsed the deaths as "51% due to whatever condition had them in the home, so not covid" but that would be as dishonest as our CDC's over counting. And given how colds work; kids get lots of them, adults tend to have built up a broad spectrum immunity even as the new strains emerge we should just go for herd immunity from exposure with vaccines only pushed for the vulnerable part of the population (like we do with the flu) but covidism is a very useful tool for those who crave power, so here we are.

Right. it's a monumental effort, though and it can never be as reliable as doing it right in the first place. And if you can't fill in the unknown variables - like PCR cycles, lack of diagnosis along with positive test, follow-up on "did you get sick within X days of a positive test," etc. - then it can be made better but it still cannot be made reliable. I doubt we have the information for those variables in most cases.

You can shape hamburger to make it look like steak, buy you can't turn it into steak.

It might come down if they're not selling. I dunno - I am not in the market for NFL tickets. Airlines do this all the time with first class seats. They start out ludicrously expensive and then grind down until about three days before the flight and often bottom out pretty cheaply - and then they skyrocket in the final 72 hours to get the business travelers (on United, anyway). I've upgraded to first class on some flights for like fifty bucks. It all depends on demand and timing.

Right, definitely. Doing things like controlling for jurisdiction and mandate dates, etc. you can get some signal out of the noise. But in terms of the "Jupiter orbit" things (I love that analogy, thank you) like how deadly things *really* are and how transmissible things *really* are, there's low confidence in the statistics because of the sloppiness (I suspect deliberate sloppiness). The data isn't useless, especially when doing jurisdiction, population, density and policy controls - but it takes tremendous effort and leaves some question marks. And it shouldn't at all be necessary.

Along with supporting supplements. Just make sure to figure your dosage amounts. (I know; MATH! but you've got a calculator in your phone don't you?)

You can take it monthly as a preventative. I personally don't see the point in that. Too wasteful. And the paste may be hard to get.

There are actually now some other therapies that will work besides ivermectin. All of them vitamin or mineral supplements. I'm surprised Google hasn't shut all those sites talking about other means of fighting covid.

Ivermectin is very very safe. Few to no side effects. Used for years now. A boon to Africa with all the parasites on the continent. And for animal husbandry all over the world.

the problem is that people are using a delivery system (the paste) that is meant for a 1500 lb animal. So some math has to be done and done correctly. I believe most of those who took it and then called poison control either didn't do the math, did it wrong or got some side effects from the paste itself and got scared. Or were lying and trying to get info on dosages.

They keep saying that animal meds aren't the same as human meds. This is true in some ways but the active ingredient is the same regardless no company would sell the stuff if animals started dropping dead from it. People love their animals.

375 the problem is that people are using a delivery system (the paste) that is meant for a 1500 lb animal. So some math has to be done and done correctly. I believe most of those who took it and then called poison control either didn't do the math, did it wrong or got some side effects from the paste itself and got scared. Or were lying and trying to get info on dosages.

There are vids on YooToob to show you how to position the marker ring, slide it to the proper marker for your weight (1 mark = 50 lbs., so if you weigh 150 = 3 marks), and lock the ring down. Then you push the plunger and the proper amount of paste comes out. If you want to play safe, you could just take 2/3 of the amount.
