I disagree. My entire adult life I've heard Republicans and Conservatives push this line, and it's a loser. People don't want to hear about how radical you are to let them do whatever they want, or how you're going to let them sell whatever they want.

Human beings are tribal, and want to know that they are part of the strongest tribe. That needs to be how the GOP wins, by creating a worldview that it can advance which tells people, "this is how to live that is right and proper" and uses power to encourage it. Liberty, capitalism, all that shit, it's nice, but it only comes once you have security and prosperity and a shared identity. Otherwise it's the first thing to go.

This was a small 8'x10' low-speed tunnel, nothing crazy like NASA's. It didn't help that you could see the rotors from the test section. And you feel all the blade-pass vibrations. Like being in a very loud food processor.

Well, a few minutes in and they were "NOPE!" Not stunning, not brave.

277 I think it's even more basic than that. Some Blacks hate whites because they can never be white. They blame all their problems and failings on Whites because that's easy. And if they can get into positions of power (thanks to AA and gender equity rules) they will abuse that power just as they believe Whites do.

Back before we knew what we know now, I'd mentioned the weird stuff going on at my precinct. I knew something shady was going on - it all seemed like some sort of experiment. Used to be it was very straightforward, but then as they introduced more technology it got really flakey. No doubt CA has been tasked with perfecting it, at least since 2000. With mail-in voting now back on the table (for a bit Newsom was saying no) we just know that it's going to be overwhelming support for Gavin, with 100% turnout.
