I've become expert at parsing. When I see names like "Joy Reid" and "Stephen Colbert", I know to skip the next sentence/paragraph/article. It's piehole poopers like that who save me lots of time in my reading. They are literary black holes. Do not approach except to figure out the best way to avoid.
Breitbart, for example, has become a quicker read. When "Cher" appears in a headline, I know that idiocy is coming and to skip. When "Behar" appears, I know the idiocy is coming in even faster and to run. And so on.

Now that we know covid is also/mostly spread fecal to oral, wearing a mask in crowded places like grocery stores can also help keep people from touching contaminated surfaces like door handles and shopping carts and then touching their mouths before they clean hands, just because a physical barrier blocks them from doing so. I have worn a mask since Feb 2020 because I have done virus research and worked in hospitals. Ask a peds ward nurse if they wear masks around RSV patients, and why. in my case, PA's numbers track with what we saw happenning on the ground.
Last November-December in my county there was a serious spike in cases AND hospitalizations, and unfortunately deaths. Two people in my network died. Wherever I went, I heard chatter about "this one's in with the COVID, that one's in with the COVID" _ and they were usually male patients.
When I look at my state's dashboard, the data tracks with that awful two month period.

Everybody should be a usher at a venue that does rock. You learn things like ushers come in the following flavors:
theater degrees, criminals, alcoholics, and various ratios of the previous three. The leads to some remarkable experiences like getting to hear Soundgarden do a warm up set in an empty theater before the actual first reunion show. The show was far less than its parts, a disaster comes to mind, but oh, Mr. Cornell was something to behold during the warmup.

I refuse. The last time I wore the mask, I coughed my lungs out every night. When I stopped wearing the mask, I stopped coughing.
Weird?
No, I have no esophagal flap. So I am breathing the concentrated acid gas from my stomach and it was hurting my lungs. I had to think about this to figure it out. So I have not been wearing the mask here in the Gay Area, and so far only my credit union has asked me to wear one. I told them I didn't have one, but htey offered me one and I put it on, and it quickly dropped below my mouth. They didn't tell me to fix it, and I ranted about the evil of the government and how they helped create this virus.
No way are they going to tell the crazy person to mask up!!! :-)
