Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R) has delivered on his promise to criminally refer Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, to the Department of Justice for allegedly lying to Congress.


Last week, Paul told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he would send a criminal referral to the Justice Department alleging that Fauci lied to Congress about whether the National Institutes of Health funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

"He's lying about whether or not he funded gain-of-function research, and yes, he should be punished," Paul said.

A major New York supermarket chain has taken punitive action against Ben & Jerry’s after the ice cream company declared that it was ending sales in the West Bank.

John A. Catsimatidis, owner and CEO of the Gristedes grocery store chain, which mainly operates in New York City, announced Sunday, “I authorized our stores to cut Ben & Jerry’s space by 30% & not advertise until further notice.”

“It’s a tragedy that Ben & Jerry’s has politicized ice cream,” he stated.

The decision by Ben & Jerry’s was met with intense criticism in Israel, while some US officials have promised to use state anti-BDS laws to take legal action against the company.

Oh I think the jury is still out on this. NYC sent non-police teams to respond to mental health calls for a month. Data shows that more people got help and fewer were hospitalized.

A New York City pilot program that sends social workers instead of police officers to respond to mental health crisis calls is showing some early signs of success, according to data from the city.

The B-HEARD program — it stands for Behavioral Health Emergency Assistance Response Division — launched in a portion of Harlem last month and has sent teams of three unarmed, behavioral health specialists to respond to more than 100 911 calls.

Between June 6 and July 7, 911 dispatchers rerouted about 25% of all mental health-related calls to B-HEARD teams, according to the city's data. Once the teams arrived on scene, about 95% of the people in crisis accepted medical assistance. When there is a traditional response from police and EMS workers, about 82% of people in crisis accept help.

Son's summer league baseball is finally over. He played his last game today. He has improved SO much over the summer under this coach it is amazing. He started the season striking out repeatedly. The great golfer from Spain, Jon Rahm tested positive for covid right after he got the jab. It was before the famous 14 window but he had the jab and then tested positive. So by that, he had the Wuflu and also had the jab. And now, two months later, he tested positive for Covid again. I don't know what to make of it but I know what many others will make of it, time for another lock down. Bryson Dechambeau, the American also tested positive and both are out of the Olympics.But i just saw that something like 0.0001 percent of Americans who have been vaccinated have been hospitalized or passed away. It was something like 190 million vs 5,500. I don't do math but i know that is a very small percentage. Be on the lookout though, as some are already freaking and using two guys in a particular sport to make a trend.

86 In happy news: Today, in our beach vacation spot the church was packed at the 8am Mass! I estimate 500-600 folks. During the sign of peace perfect strangers actually shook hands and/or hugged each other. Almost like old times again. It was magnificent!!

Also, a very famous actress from the 90s was in attendance. She's been through the meat grinder these last few years but looked sober, healthy and happy. Good for her. I won't name her as she is on vacation too. But it was good to see her happy with her elderly parents.

The other night, maybe last night ONT, I posted some numbers from a guy on Denninger's forum familiar with these kinds of stats, and he ran the latest numbers out of England to get honest vaccine efficacy data, by looking at the numbers after vaccine uptake became appreciable.

He just posted the relative efficacy numbers, and I asked him if he would post the absolute efficacy numbers. He did.

Now, by way of explanation, what is the difference between relative and absolute efficacy? Supposed your chance of getting something is 1%. Some proposed treatment drops that change to 0.5%. That's a 50% relative efficacy. Now, the difference is the absolute efficacy, which is 0.5%.

In relative terms, your risk is reduced by 50%. In absolute terms your risk dropped 0.5%. The inverse of this is the "Number Needed to Treat" (NNT), which is the number of people you need to treat to prevent one case. In this case, it's 100/0.5 = 200. It's the absolute risk reduction that is key.

The "we" is the real problem there. He's turning individual merit* into corporate merit. While "we" as the church should practice charity and such, as well, the command is for the church and for the saints, NOT for the gov't or groups of people as simply corporate entities.

My parents told me a month ago an outbreak of Bronchitis was going around at home taking 2-3 antibiotics to treat and the town wasn't testing for Rona, while at the same up in the Highlands Area (Mountains where people from Georgia vacation and have homes), an outbreak of Corona was affecting mostly men.

I had to remind my parents that Bronchitis isn't contagious like the doctors were leading their patients and friends to believe. It's inflammation of the Bronchial things caused by post nasal drip from allergies or a cold.

The other day, I was walking on the grass strip between the limit of my property, and the edge of the cultivated cropland beside it. Stubbed my toe on a one and a half inch iron pipe plug, screwed into a coupling coming out of the ground. Never saw it before, and I have been mowing this strip for years. The co-op's gas line runs up that way, so I wonder if it is part of the gas line? Should have a flag or sign on it if it is. Luckily, never hit it with the mower. I will call the gas co-op tomorrow.

He is correct, there are no net health benefits from taking the Kill Shot. It is being strong-armed on the population purely because of politics.

Another this guy got was some adverse event numbers out of Hungary. That's one thing our elites will not put out, and that's any serious estimates of side effects with these damned vaccines. They don't want us to know. "Why did you need to know that?", said Psaki the other day when asked about the hospitalization rate for the vaccinated.

Well, Hungary has been more open with the data and he got some. Based on that, the "serious adverse event rate" for the vaccines (and this would be all of them in the proportion Hungary is using) is estimated to be 0.039% That's about 4 per 10K.

The kill rate of the shots looks to be 0.0079%. That's 79 out of a million, or about 8 per 100K.

I have also arranged with a neighbor to pick a bunch of yellow plums from his yard to make preserves tomorrow, and my grafted yellow plum has about 20 plums that have turned out to be as sweet as ripe peaches - when it gets into full production I will have lots of sweet plums to cook with.

It's not just that, it's also surface contact. This is why there are so many outbreaks in cold warehouse and food processing facilities; the virus lasts significantly longer with cold and fewer windows. If it was just aerosols, you'd have similar outbreaks cropping up in similar but warmer environments.

I think a lot of research on this specific topic has been politicized to muddy the waters; the last thing the powers that be want is for the public to have an accurate picture of what is going on.

I am not vax proponent as I always say we go our own way. But I think they have shown the vax has worked. There is a reason why places abroad are in turmoil and we are not. This think never freaked me out like it did some for my own personal reasons. I was never really afraid. I took the jab for the reason stated. My choice was just that and not advice for anyone. But for sure the vax has some impact. I don't know what it had on me personally. Hell i could have had the wuflu a year ago and not known it. But the statistics show we are doing better and other places are doing worse.

Problem is enclosed spaces with recirculating air.

I wonder if anyone has looked at active ventilation. That would increase heating and A/C costs big time, but hell, if you didn't really need either, just ventilate like crazy and get the air changeover rate very high.

Here's an anecdote (not data): a mom told me the reason her kids didn't get sick this past school year like they usually do is because they wore masks. I can't imagine a kid wearing a mask in any kind of sanitary manner. I think the kids were just lucky, or maybe they usually put a lot of not-clean things in their mouths when they aren't masked.

When people tell me they trust statistics, they never mention how they trust the people gathering, calculating or disseminating them.

I can't judge either, but I can see there isn't much being done in medical facilities to anticipate the dreaded Delta variant, and there was a surprising lack of reported seasonal asthma, allergy based bronchitis and sinus infections last winter locally.

I notice also from reported statistics the inflation price index has remained mostly steady for the last six months, and breakfast for four at a diner yesterday cost $50

but to be fair, that is a big deal. They say if you have it you won't be hospitalized, and it is very unlikely you will spread it. If someone technically has it and it doesn't matter, then that is pretty good. Maybe you are right, it doesn't mean you can't possibly get it. But the real issue is what "getting it" means to a person's life.
I again mention the golfers I have seen. Trump was the same way and he had not vacc. Many get it and after two weeks are quarantine they are fine. You keep hearing about athletes kicked out of competition for it, but who was the last athlete in recent months to go on a ventilator? Not trying to be harsh but at this point we need to get down to what it is we are actually discussing.

that is a fair point. I will mention my case one last time and really there is nothing more to say. I didn't do it to comply, but really the opposite. I did it so I could never wear the mask again and to refuse to wear it anywhere. I was not afraid, thought that is personal and many have been affected grievously. I did it not out of fear or compliance. It was a choice on a whim. But i decided fine, two weeks an I will never wear the mask anywhere. I only wore them a few minutes a day anyway. It was a shot, it wasn't the end of the world.

As far as I am concerned, the current WuFlu vax's are all experimental therapies that promise little benefit, and have not been adequately tested to ensure the risks are well understood.

When you have a better than 98% chance of surviving the disease, there seems to be little crying need for a vax that doesn't even claim to prevent it.

There is "wild-caught" which is not the same as "wild". I also understand that even wild Atlantic salmon is deficient in nutrients compared to Pacific because their environments are substandard. Don't remember the details. When in doubt, make sure it says Pacific (or Alaska) salmon.

Publius, here in Colorado we experienced that post-vaccine spike in cases. Somehow an increase in the vax rate preceded an unseasonal increase in cases. Like, cases usually go down in May after an April high, but they opened jabs to 18+ in April, so cases were increasing in May. No official explanation why so many people getting an "effective" vaccine wouldn't reduce cases.

There's something really bad starting to show up. First, "vaccine failure" is becomming evident. It's showing up in the Brit data, and from Israel. We're a little farther behind their curves, but we're starting to see it here.

The reason is unknown really. THe vaccine protection could be just waning over time, or it could the virus is mutating to get around it. This is why the spike-only immunity that they all target is so stupid. Natural immunity pays little attention to the spikes, because coronaviruses mutate their spikes all the time.

This is why all the talk about "boosters", and they're going to start pushing them here soon. Israel has already launched a booster deal with Pfizer. A 3rd shot for everybody.

Virginia is one of the most Lefty states around. Ok, to be fair, that is not true. But it is run by lefties. Even the godawful governor admitted not long ago that never prosecuted a single person for not wearing a mask in a store or other public venue since this Dem Panic started. Every state is different and for sure every country is different.

I never mention the vax until tonight though I got it long ago. My guess is a lot of the Horde got it too. I would never go to a place that demands a mask though I have been to some sans a mask. Only one near me demands it and they are all alone. If someone said they banned the unvaxxed, for sure I would never frequent that place. I would shun them.

Now, this vaccine failure alone is not what is so concerning. A couple of weeks ago there were some papers out looking at these breakthrough infections.

Turned out the symptomatic breakthrough cases had lower "cycle counts" (the PCR test) than the unvaccinated. This value is dubbed "C_t" or CT. Generally, it's about 28 - 30. The vaccinated cases were showing lower CTs, some outliers as low as 20.

And this is bearing out. The lower the cycle count, the higher the viral load. Each cycle is a factor of 2. So, a cycle count difference of 4, means 16 times the viral load for the lower number.

If that holds, and it appears to, that means the virus is infecting and spreading in the vaccinated, but the symptoms are masked until the viral load gets much higher.

It absolutely screws it up -- there was a paper on that. If you look at the "memory profile" of natural immunity, the pieces of virus your immune system stores and remembers, the spike protein is a very tiny part of that. The other pieces represent the vast majority.

Now, they looked at that profile after vaccination. It shifts it greatly towards the spike, and reduces the overall number of pieces.

Those breakthrough case studies are showing that natural immunity is holding up against all the variants well. Very little breakthrough with that.

It's either the vaccine efficacy is decreasing with time, or the viral mutations are evading it. Could be a combination of both.

See Marek's disease. This shows the perils of vaccinating with a "leaky vaccine", non-sterilizing into active outbreaks.

These vaccines are clearly leaky. They are allowing transmission and infection. And allowing that to happen at higher viral loads before symptoms show up.

That is a perfect recipe for a Marek's disaster. At that could be very well be happening right now. If it does, well you don't want to think about it.

About 15 years ago there was a big medical scare about superflu. Lots of documentaries and all the notable medical experts weighed in on it. The argument was essentially that if everyone gets hyper-vaccinated for everything under the sun, viruses will eventually make it around them and become *really* devastating in the process. Like worse than the Spanish flu pandemic.

I frequently wonder if we're just setting ourselves up for an Act II. Narrated by Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park, of course.

The color in Pacific salmon seems to be caused by diet. I have eaten white Spring (Chinook) salmon that was every bit as tasty as the pink kind. Both cases caught by sport fishing, in the same general area.

And one final thing. The higher an individual's viral load, the more infectious they are. They breath out more virus particles.

Asymptomatic transmission was never a problem. They worried about it, bloviated about it, but it never happened.

But now it may. In spades. And with the *vaccinated* population. If this raised the viral load threshold for symptoms to high, then you have a lot of vaccinated people walking around spreading the shit without knowing they are infected.

Talk about a public health fuck up disaster beyond all imagination. Good job, geniuses.

I caution this is not happening enough yet to be a problem. I don't think. But it's becoming a big possibility if trends continue.

This is a point I've brought up in a few discussions with coworkers: the "follow science and data" position reveals itself to be very hollow and cynical when one considers the vast ocean of vague, often conflicting information floating around such that one can "follow the data" to any conclusion one wants, really. Normally what happens is there's second and third order studies that try to make sense of it all and identify trends, but that takes time--years, often decades--and so it obviously hasn't happened yet. But until that happens it's just another 21st century, internet-fueled case of everyone has an opinion and "their guy" is also saying it, so it must be right.

In chart 'g', blue is "non-spike" and purple is "spike". Before vaccination, it's basically all blue. Vaccinate, and boom, the whole thing is reduced, and of the smaller remainder, the majority is now spike.

A lot of businesses with $$$ are putting UV systems in their HVAC, my employer included. But it's really not going to make a huge difference if it's indoors, at a normal humidity, and you have little or no UV coming in from outdoors. NOVA used to have a tiny Spanish speaking population. The key immigrants were Koreans and South Vietnamese. For some reason DC is pretty much the head place for Ethiopians not living in that country. Today for sure there are a lot of people from Latin America. They need more Mexicans because the food is simply better than the other Latin American alternatives.

555 Oh and Walmart sells a store brand called Good Value. They make a gallon size (don't get the smaller containers they don't taste the same. ????) of ice cream and their vanilla is to die for. And it also warms and refreezes very well at least once (some ice cream that is watery or full of chemicals doesn't) so you can mix up your own and put it in containers (I use saved cottage cheese containers) and then enjoy in small portions cause it is quite rich. Best ice cream for the money. Less than $6.

557 They wire those up as modules and run pipe etc. Also they can pour a concrete slab in sections with piping and electric included so all they have to do is wire and pipe the modules together and bolt every thing together.

They may have trouble with zoning laws and btw this was done to provide quick housing for the guys coming home from the WWII in the 50's. I remember those houses. It's where the line; "little boxes little boxes and they all look like ticky tacky and they all look the same" came from.

VA had the bragging power of not having voted for Carter, unlike the rest of the South. They always voted Republican until Obama. Now I heard the Repbublicans have lost something like 17 statewide elections in a row. The last Republican governor got crucified for some very complicated deal. The guy before him ran on rescinding the car tax, and he could not get it through.
Virginia is bad for Republicans. Sure it is full of conservatives, tons of them. But that just makes it worse. A bunch of people who want representation and will never get it at the state level. I don't know if it is cheating or the reality of looking around. The place is loaded with lefties, many of whom hated their home states and thing their call is to change ours.
