Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report - 7/20/21What is in the political news these days? Election audits, nearing completion in Arizona and ramping up in other states, may reveal electoral fraud with election winners declared losers and vice versa. If this turns out to be true, how will the American people react? Especially when it was the pandemic that provided cover for last minute changes in election law and processes that may have facilitated the fraud. New information about the timing and origin of the Wuhan virus are coming to light, suggesting a weaponized virus and response possibly used to cripple an American president and prevent his reelection. Hunter Biden's laptop is in the news again, perhaps showing a massive pay-to-play scheme involving President Biden and his family, far worse than the alleged and nonsensical claims President Trump was impeached over. Special Counsel John Durham may be releasing not only a report, but also indictments, on Spygate conspirators in the near future, with prison time for some, according to Rep. Devin Nunes. As we've heard this song before, take it with a grain of salt, but some deep-staters may be worried. Inflation is not something Jen Psaki can circle back on as a visit to the gas station or supermarket confirms that inflation is here and worsening. Lastly Trump rallies are a thing again, drawing magnitudes more than Biden or Harris could even dream of at any of their events. Trump is in campaign mode and is the GOP kingmaker ahead of both the midterms and next presidential election. What better way to stop the Trump rallies and distract from unpleasant news than by returning to the COVID glory days of 2020, masking up and locking down. Wait until fall when seasonal influenza kicks in and the calls for masks will become deafening. Tweak the PCR test cycle threshold upward and viola, more cases, more masking and distancing, more mandates. Totalitarianism on demand. Is LA's new mask mandate in the interest of public health or shaping and directing the political narrative? Why would it be politically convenient to mask up and lock down again? Do the Democrats have plans that they would prefer to receive little news coverage? George Orwell had a good thought, "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face -- forever."Meanwhile, as the first of America's political prisoners has been sentenced while scores of others still languish in jails, waiting for their turn at a kangaroo court as their life savings and their lives are wiped out and ruined. . . Two New York City Ivy League lawyers will stand trial in March 2022 for allegedly firebombing a police cruiser and distributing Molotov cocktails during the George Floyd riots last summer. Defense lawyers for Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman have been in plea negotiations with federal prosecutors since February but have not come to terms, prompting U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan to set a trial schedule for both defendants. Pretrial motions are due on Sept. 17 and jury selection will begin on March 14, 2022.The accused enjoy widespread support and sympathy from New York's legal and media elites. Rahman is represented by one of the city's best defense attorneys, and a former Obama administration official guaranteed her bail in the amount of $250,000. Both have been the subject of favorable profiles in New York magazine and NPR, among other venues. Cogan has delayed proceedings three times while the parties discussed a prospective plea. Those talks can continue as the case heads to trial. Mattis and Rahman are under house arrest with electronic monitoring, though they've each sought relaxed release conditions. Cogan allowed Rahman to attend a bridal shower and a wedding in May, though he denied a bail modification that would have authorized her to move freely about four city boroughs during daylight hours. Mattis obtained permission to celebrate Christmas at a relative's home. Supporters and defense lawyers say the Trump administration was out to make an example of Mattis and Rahman. Destroying a police vehicle is the sort of crime that is usually handled by local authorities. But the Department of Justice chose to prosecute the case instead, saying the case was a federal matter because the New York Police Department takes federal dollars and the cruiser was "an instrument in interstate commerce." What's more, the charges the pair face carry stiff sentences and are typical of prosecutions involving violent drug dealers.Emphasis mine. House arrest and permission to go to weddings as they await trial - no doubt with the same kind of jurors that lynched or were intimidated to lynch Derek Chauvin - for literally engaging in acts of actual terrorism against the state, while people who did nothing more serious than misdemeanor trespassing during a Democrat planned and executed false flag Reichstag Fire event, are being sent up the river and slimed as the greatest danger ever to "our sacred democracy" (SPIT!). Want to take a guess at my blood pressure right about now? And then there's Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. Yeah, that Ben & Jerry who just introduced their latest flavor: Sheeny Shylock Sherbet. With Jews like these, who needs Nazis?

Disgusting. Posted by: Ziba at July 20, 2021 06:52 AM (S1hrL) Someone can feel free to correct me but it wasn't actually the Durham stuff that led to Clinesmith coming forward to plead guilty was it? On the one hand, OF COURSE the NYT made them look bad. This is what they (and the MSM in general) do to non-progressives, either by directky attacking them or praising them in a way that alienates them from their fans/followers. They should have expected this and factored it into accepting the interview as well as how they responded to the reporter's questions. On the other hand, did they not say what was attributed to them? Did they not tweet out links before the backlash? Posted by: Lizzy at July 20, 2021 07:10 AM (bDqIh) Posted by: Biden's Dog at July 20, 2021 07:11 AM (wymgv) 88

THE real war is in the States anyway, Either the red States stiffen up and say FU to covid 'virtue' and make voting legit or the Left wins. Ask the following question of every country on the planet: "Who do you trade with more: China or the United States?" In 2000, fewer than 25% of countries would have answered "China." Now, the numbers have flipped. Our trade is still often more valuable than China's, but that is also changing rapidly. While the problem goes back further - all the way to Nixon - Bush and Obama gave away the store. They spent sixteen years ceding as much economic power and authority as possible to Red China. Can't copy the link Posted by: JM in Florida at July 20, 2021 07:17 AM (HCeRP) ++++ PCR is an amplifier. The more you amplify, the more you scale up trash. The more you scale up trash, the more likely that some little piece of it will match something you're looking for. Remember AM radio? How when you had a marginal station with a lot of static and noise, turning the radio up made it even harder to hear the signal, because the static and noise got louder faster? PCR is sort of like that. It is also one of the reasons that test positivity rates started crashing the moment the usurper was sworn is. The WHO suddenly advised that using 40+ PCR cycles was a bad policy that resulted in too many false positives. And then there's the thing where the person who invented PCR said he (or she - I don't remember) was very nervous about it being used diagnostically at scale because of the troubles of amplifying noise that could be mistaken for signal... You'll likely find that a barcode has been printed under the delivery address. When they take in an envelope, they check for that barcode, which contains the delivery ZIP code. If there isn't one, they do character recognition to try to generate one, since it makes sorting and routing much faster and easier. The scanning of exterior mail labels has a legitimate purpose, as it helps identify popular routes, optimize routing, find letters when they get lost, etc. Like all things, though, it can cut both ways. I just look at it as we are on our own. Relying on or even entertaining the idea we might be able to vote our way out of this via a political party within the bounds of the law with lawlessness in our midst just seems foolish. We see what the left/Dems are willing to do and they are bound by nothing. We are not going to reform or take over a political party and create a movement from within it. It is going to have to come from the grassroots and at this point I can only see it coming from the streets. Trying to grow this from within the Republican Party will give it no credibility. The left has laid out a good template for us. Short of out n out violence we need an aggressive movement that uses the harassing tactics they use against us. Hafer was given several opportunities to defend self defense and he did, but averred the courts would decide. Did NOT address his flush quote.

The Julie Kelly article cited by JJ on the sentencing of the guy from Florida to 8 months and being labeled a "domestic terrorist" for the capitol riot is heartbreaking. No mercy shown by the judge. And yet, antifa and blm rioters go scot free.
None of the jackals in the media will even cover this injustice. Putting defendants into solitary confinement is beyond the pale and totally unwarranted and is NOT standard operating procedure for Federal defendants. Don't plead. Make them go to trial and prove their case. Tim Pool had a guest on who is defending Jan 6 rioters. He said he is taking every one of them to trial- plea bargains be damned. Posted by: rhennigantx at July 20, 2021 07:35 AM (yrol0) I think you have to take into account though that people are a bit more keyed up to report side effects about the non-vax. But let's assume the number is low and the actual number of deaths is around 10K. Take off 20% for they had it but died for other reasons. So, you have around 8K dead which is a huge number in the vaccine world. That doesn't even cover people with permanent damage. Last night, TCM played a lot of footage from the '76 and '84 Olympics. Just plain TV coverage of the day. It was really amazing in many respects. Bruce Jenner taking the Gold in '76. He was such an athlete. And handsome too. But one thing that struck me was the absence of "woke" BS. Black American athletes singing along to our anthem. Proudly representing America. Not being clothed in sponsorship so rife that they looked like walking billboards. It was joyous to watch. And deeply heartbreaking at the same time, considering the smoldering ruins we are now.

OT, but someone was talking about getting on a plane without ID the other day. Just happened to one of my nephews. He "lost" his wallet and phone running around LA with a couple of cousins, and when he sobered up he went to the airport to fly back to Denver. They let him on with only a quiz, asking him to identify three addresses (current and two previous) and the type and model of his car (he couldn't recall his license plate). They had all that data right at the airport counter, which is interesting, and issued him a security pass that TSA accepted without a murmur.

On the Ben & Jerry's thing, I have a slightly different take on it. Actually read their statement:
We have a longstanding partnership with our licensee, who manufactures Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Israel and distributes it in the region. We have been working to change this, and so we have informed our licensee that we will not renew the license agreement when it expires at the end of next year. Although Ben & Jerry's will no longer be sold in the OPT, we will stay in Israel through a different arrangement. We will share an update on this as soon as we're ready. So here's what this probably actually means: "we have a dispute with our Israeli licensee, likely over costs. There are other firms that can do it, and we're in negotiations with them. As a result we will not be renewing with our existing contractor after our contract expires. The new licensee will not trudge through the Gaza war zones to distribute our product because it is too expensive and high risk, so we have to surrender the marginally valuable Gaza and West Bank markets as a part of our business objectives for the region. This angle as a Woke Liberation virtue signal to distract from the real reason." Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at July 20, 2021 07:51 AM (3p5uk) 205

So the Sharpiegate thing happened in 19 different state.
The Sharpie issues is not that the Sharpies bleeds through and damages the ballot (THIS IS KNOWN TO BE TRUE). The issue is the damaged ballot now get to be placed into the ADJUDICATED pile (on in some machines in a digital folder) and the entire batch can be quote unquote voted by assigning percentages to each candidate. This is why you saw statistically impossible numbers where that Biden got exactly 51.8% of the vote across many different machines and precincts. _____________ There is, or will be (can't recall if it's been approved yet) a covid vaccine made the usual way, with dead virus, that is supposed to be on the market soon (if it's not already). I'd be much less resistant to a vaccine like that, since we know a lot more about that kind of vaccine and how it works. But I'm not willing to take one of the experimental genetic vaccines. Too risky, given how little we know about long-term effects. Not worth the risk for a virus that has a 99%+ survival rate. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at July 20, 2021 08:01 AM (k4dH2) 235
Interesting IBD poll on "woke" terms. More people (37 % ) approved than condemned (31 % ) the ideology. A huge number (25 % ) thought the term a meaningless passing phase, or had no idea.
Now do "woke" among people who have come into direct contact with the real world impacts, like CRT in the workplace or schools. I bet the numbers are 90-10 against. Posted by: Huck Follywood at July 20, 2021 08:01 AM (zWl/V) 236

Think about how stupid the average person is, then consider that nearly half the population is even less intelligent. (assuming equal bell curve distribution). Most people are conditioned to understand their world like a child, or based on emotions. Children and emotions aggregate all inputs into a single variable which produces a binary outcome. In this case, the aggregation goes through an "AND" gate. Thus they see masks as the Gold Standard in viral threat mitigation. They are gaslighted into thinking that the Kill Shot is also a Diamond Standard in handling one strand of C19. Both of these must be true in order for the C19 to be defeated. I had it in March/April last year so right at the start. Still have not got my sniffer working right. To be fair to the maskers I was pretty sick but at no point did I think I was going to die. It is similar to the Texas hospital ruling. You aren't being coerced since you can go to school or get a job somewhere else. I know, logic and the legal profession sleep in different rooms.
Posted by: WiNO - The Odds Are Never in Our Favor at July 20, 2021 08:08 AM (EpDzw) ++++ If you don't want to get your ass smacked and feel obligated to go on dates with the boss to keep your job or get a raise, then you can go get a job somewhere else. A woman shouldn't feel coerced if a male boss or coworker expects to invade her body, because she's a free agent who can work elsewhere. That is an absolute *direct* comparison, and if the COVID vax rulings were taken consistently, sexual harassment laws go right out the window. Thankfully, though, they are not bound by rules or consistency or logic or anything else. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at July 20, 2021 08:14 AM (3p5uk) 299

They came up with an mRNA vaccine for some deadly chicken disease. It worked for the chickens who were vaccinated except it was leaky. Chickens who caught the disease didn't become overly sick, but they became disease incubators. The variants were more deadly and the non-vaccinated chickens died. Meanwhile, some of the vaccinated chickens who survived the original disease died from the variants because their immune system overreacted. I disagree with Joe M. in that I believe we are beginning to see some variation of this in people. Posted by: WiNO - The Odds Are Never in Our Favor at July 20, 2021 08:15 AM (EpDzw) 305

Only the first is really consistent with other viruses per my understanding. The prosecutorial and judicial systems have become willing, active participants in this injustice. One need only look at the charges stacked against people being persecuted for January 6th.
