Maybe, but we have no idea as they don't interact with us. We tried to talk with them but it didn't work. They are secretive and don't interact with any of the neighbors. Some of that may have been my fault. We put in a chain link fence when we moved here and I dubbed it the "wire". There is a neighborhood cat called "Charlie" who messes with our dogs and walks up and down the fence and they go crazy barking at him. When that happens I shout "Charlie is in the wire".....

We have that exact same $hit going on in our small town A grandmother is raising her grand daughter as her daughter while passing off her mom as her aunt. She is 13 years old now and at some point it is going to blow up and I told them both they need to come clean and get it out in the open. It will cause serious issues when she finds out what is going on and she will find out at some point.

He still had one wife too many and his wife-poor woman- was estranged from him after the birth of their second child and she found out about Alfred Lord Douglas- She died at age 40 after some operation and some illness they were not sure of at the time, but it might have been some venereal disease caught from him or MS which they didn't know of at the time. We had the Kentucky Man in Lexington when we lived there, 32 narcan pen resurrections for one guy in less than three years at about $800 each time when all the bills came due each time they brought him back. They bought a house in my neighborhood two months ago from a sell by owner guy who was low balling it just to get rid of it, put a new roof on it and advertised it for sale for $199,999. A 62 year old 1,400 square foot house that has serious foundation issues. Two months and not a single showing according to the stay at home neighbor that we see every day when we walk the dogs. I hope they lose their a$$.

Your JVC machine should take care of everything for you. See where it reads "easy dubbing"? The manual should explain for you how to dub your VHS cassettes to blank DVDs, which you can find at an office supply store. (They used to be at Target/Walmart and other stores but are now very hit-and-miss.)
Give that a try and please let me know how it works for you. That's the first thing I'd give a shot.

All you should have to do is plug in and hook up your JVC to a TV so you can monitor what you're doing, make sure the remote has working batteries, and like I said, get yourself some blank DVDs. Doesn't matter if they're DVD-R or DVD+R (even I'm not exactly sure what the difference is).
If you get messages from the JVC to your TV screen that read "this video cannot be dubbed" or what not, let me know. Also see how many of your VHS movies *can* be dubbed. Don't give up just because a few say they won't dub. I'd bet at least some can be copied; just because one has super-strict copy protection doesn't mean others will. Whatever you can't dub, let me know and we'll take it from there.

Funny story about body heat - it was shot in the town I grew up in - long after i'd left. I saw it in the movies not knowing this. But I recognized the traffic light - having stopped there a million times. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw an outside shot of the City Hall - it's a unique building.
I watched a little bit of it last night too - even though I've seen it many times - it's like a little visit home.

It's considered "okay" to watch/own it more or less, because even many of today's Hollywokesters will admit it's the first film to effectively utilize many of the cinematic techniques common in feature films today.
Previous to BOAN, most 'feature films' were actually less than 30 minutes long, and obviously extremely cheaply produced.

LA County just reimposed an indoor mask mandate due to delta. People are frustrated. Glad I live in OC but sure they'll all follow like lemmings. We had three blessed weeks where we could be maskless at work but reimposed Monday. (Work is in LA County)

You can't even make this up. Turning Point USA's student activism summit, for kids between the ages of 15-26, has a VIP "conservative porn star" guest whose very first pinned tweet on her Twitter account is a photo of her vagina. I had to censor the photo myself to make it appropriate to post.
I'm honestly absolutely nauseated by the fact that a woman whose pinned photo is a photo of her vagina is featured at a conservative event that has CHILDREN there. Everything we have ever said about the porn industry grooming people and preying on the young is right there, and Turning Point USA is totally fine with it, encouraging it even by her being a VIP.
