I worry about the unions, the zillionaires, and wholesale electoral fraud.

Absent these things - which unfortunately we are not - I think Newsom would be toast.

Not just COVID, but wildfires, brownouts over the summer, the vagrancy problem, water restrictions, and of course the French Laundry fiasco all make him unpopular.

The wildcard will be wildfires and brownouts. If the drought continues, and we get some brownouts/complete blackouts, Newsom got a serious problem on his hands.

But I don't think there's even a tiny chance of him being booted. I have seen no evidence of any kind that the massive vote (real or fraudulent) centers of population are aware or, understand, or care about the decline and idiocy they have systematically *voted into existence*, for decades.

Not that much different than most of the country. A few jurisdictions have slight majorities of those who for whatever reason do not support the decline. But the collapse is systemic, institutional, and partly a result of trends long in existence.
