Brian Stelter's Wife, Lady Tater, Claimed to be a Workplace Bully and to Have "Ostracized" and Disparaged a... Black Colleague

A pathetic, weak man has an overbearing, bullying wife? That's not possible! Life just doesn't work that way!

I refuse to believe that Tater's Pimp Hand is not strong.

I mean, just look at the quiet strength of Tater's voluptuous thighs!

taterpantless.png

CNN's Brian Stelter has built a career off anonymously sourced reports on behind-the-scenes media drama and his style of palace intrigue reporting is now happening to his own family, as his newscaster wife has been accused of workplace bullying by unnamed colleagues.

Stelter is married to NY1 traffic reporter and anchor Jamie Stelter, and her station has been plagued by a variety of issues, such as a lawsuit filed by five female anchors for age and gender discrimination that was settled last year.

Anonymous colleagues told Caitlin Moscatello of New York Magazine that Stelter is part of the problem in a piece headlined, "Inside the Petty, Vindictive, Career-Ruining Infighting at NY1" that was published on Monday.

"It appears Brian isn't the only bully in the Stelter family,' TV news blogger Scott Jones wrote after reading the piece.

"Colleagues say she and [business anchor Annika] Pergament began to behave like 'high-school bullies,' openly gossiping about co-workers-- sometimes with their mics still on," Moscatello wrote after speaking with 51 former and current NY1 staffers.

According to the article, Jamie Stelter engaged in "ostracism" tinged with racism against a black colleague:

Stelter was also accused of making "snide comments" about then--fellow traffic reporter Alyse Zwick and allegedly having "ostracized" a Black female colleague.

"Particularly disturbing to colleagues was the way Stelter and Pergament treated former weather anchor Stacy Ann Gooden, who was hired in 2017. Ten current and former employees say Gooden was ostracized by the three co-anchors. Insiders say Gooden was often excluded from meetings, and Stelter and Pergament would talk disparagingly about her on set," Moscatello wrote.

Former NY1 producer John Friia, one of the few on-the-record sources in the piece, said Gooden was often left out of on-air discussion and when she was allowed to speak it was typically "very short, abrupt."

"It got to the point where Stacy-Ann couldn't take it anymore because they were just outwardly rude," another anonymous former colleague told the magazine.

Gee I wonder if Tucker Carlson will talk about this.

The full article is here. New York Magazine is itself leftwing so Jamie Stelter's behavior must be really obnoxious for one leftwing media outlet to turn on another leftwing media figure.

Tater's got a Jake Tapper problem, too. By which I mean, his shitty book is tanking.

EXCLUSIVE: Brian Stelter's revised anti-Trump diatribe 'Hoax' tanks with less than 2,000 copies sold in its first week - despite massive book tour and launch party - as ratings for his CNN show drop to its lowest of the year

Earlier this month, CNN's Brian Stelter released an updated version to his 2020 book Hoax: Donald Trump, Fox News, and the Dangerous Distortion of Truth

According to Bookscan, 'Hoax' sold just 1,738 copies in its first week, which left it off of the Publisher's Weekly bestseller list

The book doesn't even appear on Amazon's bestseller list and is ranked 4,007- behind children's books

The numbers are despite Stelter's aggressive book tour and launch party, which was attended by his CNN colleagues

This comes as Stelter's ratings continue to plummet after his Father's Day episode of 'Reliable Sources' drew only 656,000 viewers

I would say the sudden media interest in taking down Tater and Lady Tater might be caused by seeing blood in the water, but neither of these people have blood. They are Literally Potatoes (TM).

That works on more than one level. I use my age and career to speak the truth about bs in the workplace, since I couldn't give a fat rat's ass about being fired or otherwise "canceled." I told my bosses boss that if my regular boss came back from his temp post overseas I would be leaving. The guy was a fool and an ass and frankly, he was a complete liability. He came back but "retired" immediately. Nobody younger trying to build a career would be so bold, I expect.

I've also been known to tell people to quit being assholes and do that damned job. Probably would get someone younger culled, but they really need me there to keep order and get the job done.

Use it for good, never evil, and all will be well.

This is why I don't drink, and I recommend that others don't drink, either. Just look at these names. Citadel. Beefeater. Bombay Sapphire.

The first is a church-aligned name. The second represents the elite armed units of the British Royal Family. The third represents the subjugation of foreign lands by the British Empire.

In all cases, this is literally a physio-linguistic celebration and perpetuation of European colonialism. Alcohol culture of all types is shot through with colonial legacy. Continuing to consume these products is to endorse white European colonialism and it is inherently threatening to subjugated black and brown bodies the world over.

Put the glass down. Be better.

This makes me a little bit upset. SOME stupid women do not represent ALL women, any more than Epstein or Clinton or Biden represent all men. Bitches are awful, but they are also a minority, even if a loud one.

Much as the Black Lives Asshats don't represent most black folks. It gets old being painted with that brush.

I tried Drambuie liqueur once. Tasted like sweetened gasoline (and I *liked* Scotch). Amaretto was something I couldn't stomach. The same with that reddish cold medicine that came in the green bottle -- it was all the rage around 1984. Can't remember it's name.

That one is wonderful. The plain old "basic" Glenmorangie (the 10) pretty damn good, too, and wildly cheaper. I think the Glenmorangie 10 is one of the best values in Scotch in terms of the "drinkability + tastiness + cost + availability" multi-dimensional continuum.

I like Macallan a lot, too, but it has a premium I have trouble understanding. It is extremely wonderful, but the additional marginal benefit for the added cost doesn't make sense to me.

I have actually heard it on FNT. Not a rap guy, but the song was not bad. Considering it was essentially an indictment of both the race war culture and the uniparty, american politics in general, etc. I cannot say I am surprised it was found to be 'problematic.'

419 I can't stop wondering how many "straight men" are out there putting penises in their mouths and anuses because they believe it doesn't make them "gay" "because they're not attracted to the man, just the sex act."

424 >>> I think it's pronounced "La-Frog"?

La-FROYG. And it's delicious. It's like munching directly on the peat itself.
Posted by: Eat the Eloi at June 24, 2021 02:20 PM (BvNzB)

You don't really pronounce the "G". You think about pronouncing the G, you sort of put your mouth in the configuration needed to pronounce the G, and you kind of telepathically communicate the idea of G to those lifeforms around you. But you don't actually vocalize it. It's a weird dialect.

425 Second, "Lobster Meat" has been Fake for decades!!

It's not lobster! It's a fish meat. I can't remember the name....
Posted by: Soothsayer's Untrue But Accurate Tales

My parents used to allow us kids to name the lobsters and allow them to crawl around the kitchen floor before they got the pot. That tradition was successfully passed on to my kids.

All the Scotsmen I've ever met (not a large amount) drink Glenlivet, which they pronounce as "Glenlivvy".

Glenlivet is excellent stuff as is the Macallan.

Glenmorangie I've never cared for except for the Glenmorangie Milsean. That stuff was s-o-o-o-o delicious that I had to buy a bottle. Wish I'd bought several as it's never reappeared.

Posted by: naturalfake at June 24, 2021 03:04 PM (dWwl8)

432 I did a tour of the Glenmorangie plant once. Distillery tours are great because they really liquor you up there, as you go from place to place. A bus tour or a wonderful and gracious wife behind the wheel is a must.

Anyway, at the Glenmorangie place, the first part of the tour is us all trying to pronounce it and the nice Scottish lass telling us how we're wrong in increasingly funny and descriptive ways.

437 I'm still trying to process this - tater has a wife? There is a real Ms. Potato head?

I mean, Stelter is an untalented stupid hack. Not handsome. Overweight. Whiney. What...woman...would voluntarily be with him? marry him? I was always baffled that he had some sort of job at CNN, but you know, maybe he has an uncle working in management or something. But a real human woman...married him? How is that possible?
