Six Months Late, Georgia Begins Investigating "Irregularities" in Ballot Collection

"Drop boxes" are machines for voter fraud.

They strip away any need of the fraudster presenting himself personally to vote, where there is a small chance his fraud would be noted. It's hard for a 30 year old fraudster to pass himself off as a 95 year old (deceased) person.

And requiring in-person voting reduces how much fraud can happen: Each criminal is limited by the time it takes to vote. He can go to different voting stations each time claiming to be a different deceased or out-of-state person, but even working a full day, he could probably only cast ten or twelve illegal votes.

But with drop boxes, he can fill out hundreds of fraudulent votes in a night and then drop them off en masse. Maybe split the ballots among ten boxes to keep it from being too obvious.

And Fulton County didn't even bother with the most minimal paperwork about these fraud boxes:

Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has opened an investigation into Fulton County for allegedly violating state rules "requiring absentee ballot drop box transfer forms to be filled out," his office confirmed to CNN on Monday.

A source with knowledge of the investigation cautioned to CNN that the probe "does not have any implications about fraudulent or missing ballots in Fulton any more than it meant that in the other smaller, more conservative counties," saying: "To be clear, we're investigating a rule violation" in Fulton County.

In confirming the probe, the Georgia secretary of state's office noted it had "announced similar investigations in Coffee, Grady, and Taylor counties a few months ago."

"Restoring confidence in our elections is going to be impossible as long as Fulton County's elections leadership continues to fail the voters of Fulton County and the voters of Georgia. They need new leadership to step up and take charge," Raffensperger wrote in a tweet on Monday.

Yeah, they need new leadership in the Secretary of State position.

Meanwhile, Merrick Garland, who Andy McCarthy has of course vouched for, threatens to intervene in the Arizona vote audit.

So, yeah, Georgia should have done something a year ago about this, but doing something about it now is far from nothing.

Still, SOS should go, and he's probably just trying to keep his job somehow now.

107 See this is one of those issues if I can't quite tell if literally everyone is lying, or if some people have really bought the narratives.

Because if you stand back and look at this objectively, OBVIOUSLY we should make it very difficult to commit voter fraud, since OBVIOUSLY there are people who stand to make / lose billions of dollars, all kinds of influence, and power, so OBVIOUSLY there are people out there with a huge incentive to cheat.

And it's very suspicious when you see half the country not only say "there's no issue here" when the system is so rife for abuse, but go beyond that and say "you're both crazy and racist for suggesting we do things like, I don't know, verify the name of the person who is dropping off the ballot."

But this is such a stupid argument, I have a hard time believing anyone actually buys it. But I also have a hard time believing that 50%+ of the country is on in a conspiracy to, essentially, have us ruled by an unelected oligopoly.

128 Garland and the DOJ has no standing to challenge state run audits - like finally this ridiculous excuse to not hear a case actually fits. The Supremes gutted the primary excuse for the Feds to run or challenge state election results based upon the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in what was called pre-clearance. Before that ruling, it was assumed the Feds could swoop in anytime and anywhere they felt and stop elections or anything concerning elections in any state they felt like just by whispering to some judge "Voting Rights Act of 1965" So Garland is just telling lefties what they want to hear, but he knows he can only sit on the sidelines and toe the dirt while these audits go forward.

Something else I've noticed... the city will issue bonds to fund a new road or sewage treatment plant (or whatever), stating on the ballot that this will raise your property taxes by $x/100,000 valuation. So far, so good.

142 Yup. They're not angry that Trump was somehow pushing conspiracy theories. They're angry that Trump exposed what everyone knew was going on all along. These people are corrupt idiots who have long relied on the fact that the institutions ran more or less on the inertia of accumulated good will and knowledge. This meant that these lower-level jobs like county election official were great places to stash supporters and get a bit of grift. Ditto health department, etc. Only once things went south, they had no idea how to actually do their jobs.
Posted by: Colorado Alex in Exile at June 15, 2021 01:44 PM (jOcSX)

I think that, on a certain level, the LIVs expect a certain amount of corruption in all our institutions. Police, Teaching, the DMV. As long as it's not too obvious, we'll tolerate some hinkyness as long as the trains (sort of) run on time. The problem with 2020 is that the Deep State was shocked at the Trump rally in Butler PA, and got sloppy trying to fix the election. The chances that the corruption will be exposed for all to see increased exponentially in this case. This is a result the Establishment didn't think to solve for.

Then those racists lock all of the ballots in a box with a seal on it signed by everyone, and if there is a recount, that seal is broken in front of a group of observers.

Putin is an old school paternal autocrat. And that isn't good for the people of Russia. 245 There should be "pre- election" audits for every single election, for every single office.

Yes. There is so much we know about auditing and security that is just completely ignored for elections. Even the best elections in the United States ignore the most basic auditing techniques that are used for tracking and balancing numbers in other fields.

It is insane that, for example, Pennsylvania can say in December that even though ballots counted vs. ballots accepted don’t match it doesn’t mean fraud because the state hasn’t finalized the data yet. In any other field, not only would the data be ready when counting is completed, that’s data that would be kept track of during the counting process and flagged the moment a mismatch occurred.

250 Number of matters/candidates to vote on is a separate matter.

Harry correctly pointed out that Canada's *election process* - that's the topic, I thought, not form of government - is simple, reliable, and therefore has integrity.

Voter ID. Voting on election day, or by heavily secured absentee process. Paper ballots. No electronics in the tabulation. Strict chain of custody, and complete transparency (including HD video, on the web) of ever step of the counting process. Along with cleaning up registration rolls, constantly, this will virtually assure clean elections.

Most of the US is distant from some/all of this as is Zambia, or Venezuela.

Posted by: 18-1 at June 15, 2021 02:01 PM (DpkTQ)

Putin is ruling Russia like the czars used to. Mark Steyn made a great point about this in regards to Ye Olde England -- the average person was much freer back then. They didn't interact with the King at all, and the King had no interest in what the peasants were up to. He had aristocrats whose only real interactions with the peasants were to try to collect taxes, but that didn't always go well.

But as long as you weren't out murdering the King's Subjects, your government basically let you do your own thing.

Which is what it's like in Putin's Russia. Granted, things tighten up a lot if you're in the aristocratical class, but that's a tiny percentage of the population, and it's hard to really feel bad for them.

Funny money, low interest and supply-chain disruption. Thankfully my tendency to be a cheapskate really helped me on appliances. Appliances are fucked. The supply chains are all broken and lead times are in the *months.* Same with a lot of furniture.

My house needed every appliance except the stove. I went to my major independent regional appliance dealer's B-stock outlet to get my stuff because it's cheaper and they don't have any bad stuff there (all with full warranty, etc.). As a result, I actually got my appliances without waiting for months.

Number of matters voted on doesn't matter, doesn't change anything about integrity. You either do it right - and take the time it requires - or you don't. Period.

Somehow the country functioned - even had elections, and stuff - before any mechanization, much less electronic-ization, of the election process. Only technology that should be involved now is for transparency and accountability (video and the like). Process itself should be paper.

It’s even worse: just about every time Democrats bring a suit “on behalf of” someone who supposedly doesn’t have an ID and can’t get one, it turns out (a) they do have an ID already, or (b) they regularly go right past a location where they can get an ID for free.

The Democrats bringing the suit never even bothered to find out whether this person could be helped. Not having an ID hamstrings a person everywhere in life, and Democrats don’t care one bit. They care only about enabling fraud.

Simple answer to that: don't put all candidates/issues on one ballot. Give the voter an envelope with suite of ballots he/she can mark separately. Each ballot has a serial number, and a tear-off counterfoil that retains a copy of the voter's vote (or non-vote). Voter retains counterfoils, and if he/she is suspicious of of vote fraud, can initiate an audit of his/her vote.

Those same villains now occupy the Federal Government and the apparatus of Big Business and Finance.

There really wasn't much the DOJ could do about the 2020 elections if the states were not going to do anything. It was always Trumps weakest tactic to get someone to do something, but I understand why he tried.

The states and state legislatures control their elections, even federal office elections, and the Federal government can't really interfere or arrest people because they suspect shenanigans - they can investigate and give info to state officials, but not much else. But now for Garland to suggest that, hey, why yes we can, is just so much blowhard bullshit...no, no he can't, and he knows it.

No, I think they're original from ancient Greece or thereabouts.

But the first / earliest mentions of bagpipes in Europe, IIRC, were in Ireland in the 1500's. They are played throughout Europe though.

The connection between Scotland and bagpipes was, I think, because the Scottish troops marched to bagpipes in war instead of the normal trumpets / drums that the rest of the British soldiers (and most continental Europe) used.

Thing is, technically he ISN'T duly certified if everyone used fraudulent information.

They may have certified him, but the information used was of the poisoned tree.

392 The Voting Rights Act. That's it.

Actually, the 13th Amendment guarantees the right to vote regardless of race or previous status of servitude. The 14th amendment guarantees the equal protection of the laws, meaning that state voting laws that deprive individuals of the equal protection of the law are unconstitutional. The Civil Rights Act of 1960 grants the Attorney General the power to seek injunctive relief in federal court against county registrars to enjoin enforcement of state laws that have the effect of discriminating on the basis of race or color. The 1960 Act also requires retention of voting records for 22 months after the election and makes it a crime to alter any voting record. These are all valid enforcement actions under the 14th amendment, which grants the Congress the power to pass legislation to enforce the due process and equal protection clauses.

(None of these are implicated in a state audit, as Garland well knows. He's just a weird combination of street thug and dweeb.)

394 > In vintage photography (60 years ago)

High speed film existed 60 years ago.

Kodak Tri-X, the first high speed consumer film, was introduced in 1940, 80 years ago.

Professional studio photographers had big-assed lights long before that.

You have to go all the way back to the 19th century before the open-eyed stare was necessary.

The Constitution does not specify any method by which the state determines its electoral votes, just that those results are accepted by Congress.

Lottery, Simon Says, dick length, ballot-box stuffing.... doesn't matter.

Yup. But the fun is yet to come. Wait to see what happens when that mentality pervades not just in all government agencies but society as a whole. Banks, businesses, even a freaking janitor.

I know. I grew up in a place like that. A garbage society.

This country is getting there at warp speed.

400 Funny how if you dont properly cross a t on a county permit application it is rejected. But when it comes to voting integrity, eh close enough. Here you go have a few ballots.

Posted by: Joe XiDen at June 15, 2021 02:46 PM (e59gp)

401 So dumb. I'm sure TONS of "voting laws" apply to post-election audits.

They're claiming that canvassing of voters to verify their vote could be "voter intimidation".

Like, bub, the actual "VOTE" has already taken place. And any alleged vote that is claimed to be refuted by a voter is easily subject to independent verification. There is virtually no doubt that these people are all protesting too much for the "mOsT sEcUrE eLeCtIoN iN hIsToRy"

____________

Yep, all this bullshit about "discerning voter intent" is garbage. If a voter can't fill out an oval, or put an "x" in the appropriate line, or pull the correct lever, or whatever, then they should either ask for help (of which there is always plenty at the in-person voting sites) or their votes should be tossed.

No more of this "we'll figure out what they meant" bullshit. If a person isn't competent enough to fill out the ballot properly or ask for help, then they shouldn't be voting. We shouldn't have systems that allow thousands or hundreds of thousands of millions of votes going into "adjudications" by corrupt poll-workers who then decide how the person really wanted to vote. That's just an invitation to vote fraud -- an invitation that crooked Dims have obviously accepted and enlarged.
