Michigan also jammed the nursing homes full of covid patients.

And they're playing similar games as Cuomo did to hide how many people Whitmer killed.

A Michigan journalist claimed on Wednesday that a 2020 "pilot program study" reveals the COVID-related nursing home death counts in the Great Lakes State could be double what Governor Gretchen Whitmer's administration has reported.
Charlie LeDuff joined "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to voice his concerns after the documents he studied purportedly showed just under half of the 6,945 deaths classified as "vital records reviews" could be traced back to nursing home addresses. Direct nursing home reportings, he said, were done on an "honor system."
LeDuff said that while New York has grouped deaths of people in nursing homes versus hospital deaths, "Michigan doesn't know."
"They found of all the rest of them that 50% were nursing home residents. You know what they did? They stopped looking," he said of the pilot study.
"Just like the story about [The State Department stopping former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's probe of the] Wuhan lab. They didn't want to know the answer. I asked them, why did you stop? [They said] It was too time-consuming."

I didn't cover this when it was breaking, on May 5, but it's worth mentioning: remember when Unfetching Gretchen went to visit her father in Florida, while demanding that her subjects remain homebound?

It wasn't just that she defied her own orders.

It's that she pressured billionaire businessmen with business interests in the state to loan her their private jet.

When Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was outed last month for a secretive trip to Florida in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, her office claimed Michigan taxpayers did not foot the bill.
What they did not tell us, however, is that Whitmer asked a group of wealthy Detroit businessmen to provide a private plane they share.
Those businessmen have major dealings in and with the state of Michigan.
"We wondered why she reached out to us instead of booking a private charter," said one of the plane's owners, who exchanged his candor for confidentiality. "You can't tell a governor no. Who needs that kind of trouble?”
Had Whitmer booked a round trip flight from Lansing to West Palm Beach through a private charter company, it would likely have cost $10,000 to $20,000, or a whopping $40,000 for the actual jet she took, according to private jet websites. The latter is more than 25 percent of the governor's salary -- before taxes.
It is unclear whether Whitmer reimbursed the company – Air Eagle – which manages the aircraft owned by the businessmen. And, if so, at what price and from which bank account?

The scam these rats have created for themselves is that they only "reimburse" the cost of a first class ticket... on a commercial flight.

That is, even though the chartered plane you're taking is luxury and convenience made metal, and even though the cost of such a charter is $20,000, you just have to look up what Delta is charging for a business class ticket and "reimburse" your benefactors that.

So yeah, the trip cost them $20,000, but you gave them $800, so it's all Even Steven and you didn't take a bribe, or demand a bribe from businessmen.

Update: On Thursday, a court rejected Whitmer's dishonest reasons to reject a recall bid and permitted the effort to go forward.

Recall petitions against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer can proceed, a Michigan court ruled on Thursday.
The Board of State Canvassers "correctly" approved the six recall petitions against Whitmer and one against Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist, Judges Kathleen Jansen and Michael Gadola of the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday, rejecting one argument made by counsel for the governor as "unpersuasive."

Whitmer, who had argued these cases did not "adequately describe the authorities cited as reasons for the recall," plans to appeal the decision, campaign spokesperson Mark Fisk said.

Other states did not. And there is a serious smoking gun on this, and it is from Pennsylvania. The tranny freak who ran their public health department - and who is now a freaking cabinet minister - took his own mother out of a nursing home and put her up at a hotel the day before the order to concentrate COVID patients in nursing homes took effect. There is no way to spin that. There is no way to hide behind "we didn't know" or "we thought it would be okay" or "it didn't happen." There is no way to read that other than "I protected mine while I killed yours with a stroke of my pen."

Those EOs to concentrate COVID patients into nursing homes were written by the hospital system lobbyists to get them out of their hospitals so they could replace them with patients with higher reimbursement. Yeah, this came from the hospital lobby, which is why they found particularly fertile ground in Cuomo's NY.

The COVID lockdowns / practices took a heavy toll on hospitals, because they are designed to operate on high capacity, and they make their money on treatments that were deemed "elective" or were otherwise not allowed to be scheduled during the pandemic.

I spoke with a local hospital administrator over the weekend. The hospitals are now trying to overbook their capacity (beyond 100%) and are pushing people out the door as fast as possible. Women are now being given 1 day post-partum for a natural birth, 2 days for c-sections. There's pressure everywhere to turn over the beds.

That was slightly different brain-dead policy. The field hospitals, ships, etc. were for *non*-COVID overflow in case the main hospitals got crushed with the 'Vid. That didn't happen. This was always stupid policy. The temp facilities should have been used for COVID only (the sanitarium model). The two bone-headed policies aligned in nasty ways, though.

For the this is not who we are crowd, Virginia, once the Dems had 1 seat majorities in each House, voted on bills to make Virginia apportion its EC votes that way, and also stopped the regional apportionment of votes for Governor and other statewide offices and make them just popular vote winners. I don't know that they succeeded in either one, but they don't let something silly like consistency get in their way.

The Tuskeegee Institute decided they'd do a study on syphilis in 1932, 600 African American men in Macon County, Alabama were enrolled in the project. Doctors informed the subjects that they were being treated for "bad blood" a term used at the time as a catch-all for just feeling lousy.

A group of them were given syphilis directly in order to study the effects of the disease on the human body. Others were given a placebo as a control. Even after a treatment for the disease was discovered, the experiment kept going for fifteen years until all the victims had died and autopsies could be done on them.

I am not so sure it is idiotic. The Tuskegee experiments were the worst of it, obviously, but there was a lot of casual shit going on dealing with treatment of Syphilis at the time.

I remember my prof mentioning that doctors would decide on the course of treatment on their own judgement. If they thought the patient was trustworthy, they got a two week course of pills. If they thought the patient was unlikely to follow the course schedule, they got a single, painful shot in the ass. Her point was that a lot of black people got the single shot.

My point, even at the time, was that every motherfucker should have gotten the shot. Health, especially when dealing with a communicable disease, should not be fucked with due to the whims of the doctor.

I still wish I had upgraded my flight to Japan all the way to business class back and forth. The company was already picking up the worst of the tab. It was only a $1000. I did to the one that gave you some extra leg room (which was like $50.) I could not justify going whole hog. Should have done it as I may not have a chance again.
