Idaho bans the "indoctrination" of students in government schools.

Unfortunately, they stripped out specific language banning the indoctrination of Critical Race Theory into students.

I fear that this means that the gesture will be entirely ineffectual.

The left has gotten hysterical again. This time, it’s over a bill currently going through the Idaho legislature that would ban schools from "indoctrinating" students. Leftists claim it bans the teaching of critical race theory. It does not. What it does is make it legal to teach all points of view.
You can imagine how that’s going over on the left.
Several earlier versions of the bill did, indeed, ban critical race theory from being taught. But the final version voted on by the Senate on Tuesday took a much more ecumenical view of teaching history.
Senate Education Chairman Steven Thayn, a Republican, said, "There's no topic banned in the bill, there’s no book banned in the bill. It does not censor history, you can talk about anything in history. ... In fact, it does not ban the teaching of critical race theory, it doesn’t ban that. It doesn't ban anything. What it says is that you cannot compel students to adopt or adhere" to certain principles.
And that's a problem for the racial propagandists.

But is it? I imagine there are already -- or were already -- injunctions against teaching students forced to be in class political propaganda, and the teachers and bureaucrats ignored that.

In an unusual report on 14 Gannett papers by six reporters from some of those same newspapers, the company that is woke on the raging issues of race and fairness overwhelmingly favors whites in pay and job security.
"Our analysis of salaries in 14 newsrooms at Gannett, the largest newspaper company in the U.S., found pay disparities among women and people of color, as well as a dearth of diversity, in nearly every location that participated," said the report from the Newsguild, part of the Communications Workers of America union.
The chain has been a voice for diversity and equity, but some of those interviewed in the new report said the firm operates by a different code inside its offices.

We went fishing today and people were walking the trails nearby with them on, and we had one lady pull her shirt up over her nose and mouth to walk by. I'm still unclear on that one. Akchually that looks like diesel, that is if a green pump means diesel in other parts of the world (guessing from the van this is South America)? Also, I don't think Ford sells any diesel sedans in the US.

If this was in CA I'd be shit out of luck (unless it WAS diesel) because we have those retarded vapor recirculation things on the pump nozzles. So that means it won't pump unless it senses a vacuum. Which it tends to do on occasion, but usually not when you're trying to pump gas.

I think this was South America, in which case you just KNOW if a car/van comes zipping up to you and stops suddenly, and you're the only one around, shits about to get real. If not carrying a gun (which should have been unholstered before those guys came to a stop) this was the next best thing. If it was gas (I guess diesel), that would feel just awesome.

Pain in the fucking gas. Every time I go to get gas for the mower I come back with my hands smelling like gas. It will usually work for a few seconds so you have to just keep pumping the trigger. Sometimes you can manage to get a good seal.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to check and see where we're at compared to a couple of months ago. It looked like inventory and prices were stabilizing a bit. When I was picking up at Bass Pro Shop (using them as a PPT FFL), they had gotten 5.56 in, and there was a line going almost out the door of people to get their 2 fucking boxes. They'd started lining up at 7am (well that's when the doors opened). We gotta start catching up.

Yeah, the angle or something on one of my cars means about half the stations it's impossible to put gas in. I've actually driven to other stations after putting in about 32 cents worth of gas in 3 minutes. My new car I've got about a 90% success rate. There's one nearby station I avoid entirely - it's the worst.

I just use a manual suction gun for such as that. The good metal kind, not the plastic ones. The ones I have look the main cylinder of a grease gun. You pull the handle out to suck fluid in. It's great for sucking fluid out of stuff like power steering reservoirs and the like with no drain plugs.

Only problem with using for refill is cleaning it out.

In the earlier stages of dementia/alzheimer's, that's pretty typical. My mother had lots of people fooled, because you had to be with her a lot to see when the failure starts, it's hard and fast. Other times she could be spot on. It's also remarkable that the brain really can run on auto pilot. They can just say/repeat things that "fit" and seem perfectly lucid. But after a while I figured out how to trip her up (short the circuit) and most neurologists can do this as well.

With the right combination of drugs, I have no doubt they can get Joe humming along pretty well. But that's also why he simply cannot allow himself to be questioned by the press. Any little thing could short him out, and once that starts, it's a cascade effect.

212 Speaking of gas cans. I got a metal Eagle brand gas can 5 gallons for about 50.00. Definitely more than the plastic ones, but no flow inhibitor. Just a simple funnel attachment on it to fill the mower. I bit tough to get into a car due to the design, but last longer and IMHO better all around.

They've come up with some seriously fucked up nozzles lately. I just had to buy a can a few months ago, and this is seriously the worst yet. There's nothing you could do to this over-engineered piece of shit. The older ones were still somewhat useable. Maybe I just lucked out on the one I bought (Home Despot I think), but I'll definitely start checking garage sales. I don't have a mower any more, so my need is very infrequent. But when I get the Triumph back from the ex, It'd be nice to have one that works again.

I think that's the brand I've got. Regardless, the metal safety cans (think workplace heavy duty cans) with nothing but a spring-loaded cap over the fill point are really great, and hard to go back to anything except jerry cans afterwards.
