17 Morning!

Taken from "Market-Ticker" blog regarding the voting laws in GA. He figures they need to add one more in there. The sterile room needs to be added too.

Requires that once counting starts it must complete without interruption. Again, how is that bad. They didn't go far enough; to be secure the process must be sterile until the count is complete and released. What do I mean by "sterile"? No results get out of the room, no matter by what means, until they're final. This prevents knowing how many ballots you must "find" to change an outcome. It is a basic security measure that any honest election should follow. GA's new law helps, but does not go far enough. Nonetheless improvement is improvement.

19 I chose to go back to mostly lurking. The line about "being on my way to Australia" was as joke. I said that line long ago, it comes from the movie Support Your Local Sheriff. My point was I never planed to spend much time commenting, but I did, for several years, this place is addicting.

I need to spend some time on other stuff, and that is why I likely won't be posting as much. At least the long posting sessions that last a day or two will be less often. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up.

This country has gone so haywired, I fully expect someone in the media to start crying about The Masters. The Masters will be held from April 7th to the 10th. I know some in the media will bring it up as a heat check. But the chance they shut down that event is near zero. If they do, we are in some serious times, but I don't believe it will happen. I haven't even heard someone comment on it, maybe even the radicals know they will simply look stupid.

I hear ya. My assumption is everyone plays Diamond Jewels, or whatever new app that comes out. But the Masters is pretty well known, at least it used to be. If I have my info correct, Jack Nicklaus has been on the cover of SI as much as anyone, at least that was true until the last decade or so.
You can check cspan. There is a clip of Pelosi and Repub leaders fawning over Jack Nicklaus for his Medal of Freedom They did the same for Arnold Palmer. The thing about the Nicklaus medal is right and left wanted to be on his side. That might be the last time they did that. i might look it up and post it because it is a part of our history. BTW, Nicklaus has always been an avowed Trump supporter.

I think there is like 8 different channels of it. After looking at

Maher's show, which I've never watched.

Oh yeah, and Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore 10 times a day

be careful with ATT. They will often try to get you on the hook, with some amazing offer. But they still have plans where you are on the hook to staying with them for an extended time. They can talk a lot of crap and still claim they let you know. Most companies don't try to lock you in for a year or so, but ATt is not one of them.

144 Tried to get around the regulations...

It didn't work.

There are two ways to construct a commercial building. The first is to hire an architect or engineering firm and design everything from scratch, normally costing about 10% of the total building expenditures. Or, you can take an existing building and change it's purpose, which only needs some drawings and is much cheaper.

I built a building a few years ago behind our restaurant that was just cold storage. Then, I wanted to put a commercial kitchen and flower shop in it. Should have been able to bypass all the formal reviews and just make it happen. No way.

We just got all the stamped engineered prints back yesterday (even though we've been simultaneously building out the interior) and are set to get the official permits next week. Yes, I saved a little money, but not enough to make it worth waiting.

Such is the life of an outlaw.

198 Mowing the back acreage for the first time this season.

I did about an acre and a half yesterday after mounting the mowing deck on the tractor and removing the front end loader. From the house it didn't look too bad, but like you said when get up close it's kind of a mess. I'll have to leave "the bottoms" alone for now... too wet and the ground's too soft.

Augusta National was designed by Bobby Jones so it's as close to sacred ground for golf as you can get in this country. Like all organizations they're capable of doing isolated dumbfuck things, like letting that pudgy pile of shit Roger Goodell be a member; but since he comes from old money that's kind of the nature of the country club beast. Unlike those assholes in the PGA they don't put up with dumbasses screaming "get in the hole" like a bunch of drunk cocksuckers; that gets a lifetime ban from returning.

That clip of Dr Leana Wen reveals the attitude: we must use this to nudge people into doing what we say to earn their normal life back. Sick-o control freaks.

And as we all know, that line was originally supposed to be "a pretty good weekend in DALLAS with all that stuff." But the movie coincided with the assassination of JFK, and they changed the name because they thought referring to Dallas would be too inflammatory at that time.
