Saturday Morning Coffee Break

The Saturday Morning Joke

Donald Trump, George Bush and Joe Biden were set to face a firing squad in a small central American country.

Donald Trump was the first one placed against the wall and just before the order was given he yelled out "Earthquake". The firing squad fell into a panic and Donald Trump jumped over the wall and escaped during the confusion.

George Bush was the second one placed against the wall. The squad was reassembled and George pondered what he had just witnessed. Again before the order was given George yelled out "Tornado". Again the squad fell apart and George slipped over the wall.

The last person Joe Biden was placed against the wall. He was thinking, I see the pattern here, just scream out something about a disaster and hop over the wall. He confidently refused the blindfold as the firing squad was reassembled. As the rifles were raised in his direction, he grinned from ear to ear and yelled "Fire".

Sounds a bit like that movie released last year, "Unhinged" with Russell Crowe.

Guy loses his lob and so uses that as an excuse to start killing people for disrespecting him.
Saw it last night on streaming. Good thriller, worth watching.

Russell Crowe's definitely been hitting the beer and calzones awfully hard. His leading man days are probably over.

51 It's supposed to reach the mid-70s here this afternoon so a couple friends and I plan to take a nice walk on our preferred walking trail. Then we will set up our lawn chairs and chat for an hour or so. Sounds pretty boring, yes? But we haven't done this since the beginning of October. We used to take our walk, then go to a coffee shop to visit.

Another couple of friends and I are planning to go out to dinner -- if we can find someplace that is actually open, rather than take-out only -- because all three of us are now fully vaccinated. We used to do this once a month.

The restaurant my stitching group used to meet at once a month is still closed, take-out only. We've tried twice to meet at a park, and both times the wind was blowing so hard we could barely hold onto our food much less actually stitch. Hopefully, we can try again next Sunday.

Two weeks to bend the curve, my ass.

245 Almost every organization has gone woke. They don't care if the issue is real or not, they know where their bread is buttered. The Left will destroy you and conservatives can't get a handle on all of this as it is happening so fast. Most states require an ID, or at least they did even a few years ago. Other major nations require an ID to vote, but the dumskulls that we put out never consider other nations. All they know is their nation is bad, and nothing else matters.
Funny that the PGA Tour and PGA said nothing about The Masters. They don't run it, they are lucky to have it and they know it. They said nothing because they are cowards.

But the reality is The Masters is famous throughout the world. Even many Americans who don't play or watch golf, know The Masters as the first start of Spring. It is difficult to tell someone to care about something they do not. But to act as if no one cares about The Masters is to simply be wrong. 259 for one, it is illegal to even buy a Master's ticket. They go to certain members, people who have been on the rolls for decades, and a few that sign up for a lottery. Technically, if you buy a ticket from someone, they can take it and send you off. The person who actually received the ticket will get banned for life it they catch you. And they do do this, they don't play around.

opinions vary but they are based on personal experience, not legit understanding of the situation. Things have changed over the years as the American culture has become even more bifrucated. But there was a reason golf used to be on every weekend. Even with low viewership numbers, they charged way, way more than a football baseball commercial. The reality was the viewers were more wealthy, and spent more. The same reason why today PGA Tour players sport the names of banks, and accountants as logos, and not so much golf companies.

I fully understand those that don't get it. But part of understanding the world is to go outside yourself. I posted in just the last thread a video of every Dem Leader and Repub leader fawning over Jack Nicklaus. There was a reason for that. They didn't do it because they thought it would be a nice thing to do for some obscure person.

An image has now emerged of them interacting with El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez as they were given snacks at the processing center. Disturbing footage released by border patrol showed the moment the girls were dropped, one after another, over the 14-ft barrier in the middle of the night. Immediately after the girls landed on the ground, two smugglers could be seen fleeing on the Mexican side of the border.

there is some truth there. The country is changing and well, my opinion is it is for the worse. In may day it was football, baseball, basketball, and golf. Now it is frisbee golf, soccer, and likely some app people play with.

How about the presumption of innocence, or property rights, or representative government, or what exactly?

337 I do powdered eggs, because I use them for baking. You can put up fresh eggs in storage. Waterglass is what some people used but anything that seals the shell will preserve them for a time.

338 328 I liked Pence and defended him here early on. I think he gave Trump some cover early on. I still am not sure what he was doing at the end. If he can't come out and explain it so people understand, he is likely done. And since that wont happen, it is time to move on from that guy.

Agreed. If you can't give a one-sentence justification of your actions, you're toast.

Pretty much like Cruz explaining his US citizenship. If you can't do it in one sentence - thanks for playing.

I mean do we start with elevators, air conditioning, paved streets, sanitary water, medicine, air liners, solar energy, batteries, paint by numbers? I mean exactly what goes first?

How about the presumption of innocence, or property rights, or representative government, or what exactly?

340 I think Golf is running on the fumes of Tiger Woods,
Jack Nickolas and Arnold. It takes someone like those guys for average
people to have any interest. Like most professional sports, golf is also
on it's way out.

Golf goes through cult of personality sine wave popularity changes. There are a lot of old timer fans, like me, that are happy with it having a marginal appeal. It's a difficult game and not for everyone. Plus it requires a *lot* of real estate so the progs hate it.

Btw the MLB dumbfuckery was almost 100% sponsor driven. The players don't really care.

341 It's not WWII. You can get freeze dried stuff. As for eggs, I worked at an egg factory for a year. Took me several years to be able to stand them and I still don't cook them often.

342 Morning, Sharon! Just finished my pancakes and started on my 2nd cup of covfefe, so starting to feel vaguely human.

344 not sure if you meant this, but " A Good Walk Spoiled" was a very good book about the pga tour. The author is a lefty prick, but he did right a good book. Sure it is dated now, but no doubt it was a good read.

this was too Puddlegum. Pixy won't let me respond to your comments for some reason.

John Feinstein. I'll get around to reading it sometime. Yes, he's a lefty prick.

I recall a legit poll of pga tour players during the 80s and 90s. They self proclaimed to be Republicans by over 80 percent. My guess now is it is more like 70 percent, because of the way the country is moving. Even the ultral lefty Feinstein, who write about them, admits most of them are conservative. But we see all major organizations are moving left to save themselves. Too bad, because in golf for sure the majority are conservative.

I am down to PBR at this point.

Sponsor driven because--ironically--sponsors tend not to want controversy.
