The media was on fire last week with talk about the connection between anti-Asian violence and white supremacy. I read at least two pieces making that case and many more that referenced it in passing. I'm sure there are people on the left eager to square this circle but obviously reality is a bit more complicated than Critical Race Theory would lead you to believe. The real lesson here is that if we start looking at the race of attackers and victims to draw broad conclusions, then we have to be willing to do that all the time, not just when the race fits a preferred narrative. I don't think anyone should be doing that frankly, but I think we're seeing the impact of many years of BLM agitating on the media.If the left is going to focus on the race of vicious criminals, then they can't blame the rest of us for following their lead. Do they really want to racialize crime? Is that a political game they think they can win? Have these very intelligent, very well-informed individuals ever checked the crime statistics? Maybe they should take a glance.

The problem was a sin problem, which nobody likes to talk about sin anymore. But the shooter did. The shooter said he had a sin problem. He belonged to a Baptist church down where he lived, can't remember the name of it. This was apparently no secret. The church dis-fellowshipped him after the shooting (which I dunno if I like that but that's another story) and took down all their social media presence so as not to put other members of the congregation at risk. So my question is - if the shooter himself says what his problem is - why does the media not take his word for it?

The original purpose of laws was not to stop criminals from committing crimes, rather it was to inform the larger civil society that there are consequences to committing crimes so that we do not need to individually seek retribution becasue there are organized "fair and just" means within society to effect this.

It looks like he's trying to eat a red donut sideways and has 2 balloons under his shirt. I don't even want to know what they did with the old abs. Seriously, does anybody think he'll be alive in 15 years? If somehow, he doesn't kill himself just how long can surgery continue working before he's full on monster mode? Until then, we'll have an insane junta installing a fat balding dude with boobs in a dress and a wig to tell us what is sane and healthy.

Did you watch the testimony of that Firefighter scrunt Hansen? She got really snotty with the Defense. Among other things, she insists that Firefighters/Paramedics couldn't have been called when they were, because she just knows they don't take that long.
She also refused to review a transcript of her statements to investigators before testifying, so when Defense was asking questions about those statements, she kept saying she didn't remember what she said to them.
She refused to say she was angry with the cops, only feeling helpless, even when she was reminded she called one a "bitch".
She got especially saucy when the Defense asked her about her characterization of the 6'4" 230lb Floyd as "a small, slim man."

Yep. Ran into the same thing when I got my license changed from GA to PA. Old license, utility bills, mortgage. Nope! Need to have mail with my name on it that was delivered to the mailbox.
Need to get my adopted kids SS cards changed. Website says I need to MAIL the original adoption decree and MY DRIVERS LICENSE to the ss office. Called and said "No fucking way, i want an in person appointment". Ok, but you need the adoption decree, the old and new birth certificate, the old Ss cards and a medical record with their old name on it. Not what the website says, but it is what WE want. I don't have a medical record with their old name on it. I do have the new birth certificate and a signed court order changing their names. Not good enough. If you don't have a medical record, the girls have to wait until they are old enough to petition for a name change, and come to the ss office themselves with a signed court order. They are 3. Twat expects them to live 15 years with their old name because I can't meet her personal demand for proof.

Thanks Jewels for letting me know. Last fall I wanted to do the same thing, but got a letter from the WA DOL that they had suspended the ability to get the enhanced license, so I just had to go online and they renewed my regular one. Good for 6 more years. But next year, no trip to Vancouver BC without a new one, or a passport.
And any illegal can cough up a utility bill. What a joke.

So- basically, they remind you of your oath (affirm was the word they used) and inform you that you are required to inform your superiors if you know of anyone (in the workplace or otherwise) if there is evidence of ties to, or support of "supremacism" or "white nationalism". They say that although there is no list of these groups, it is our obligation to report these things.
They used characteristics for identifying this dangerous behavior, such as "violent rhetoric" and the demonization of a particular ethnic group.
I did ask if "By Any Means Necessary" would qualify as espousing violence, and they said yes- so there is that.
I also asked it it I should report preppers. They had no answer for me there.
I asked if it is still permissible to hunt and join gun clubs, and they said yes.
I am now super-woke.
