Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Tater Crater: CNN's Deplatforming Clearinghouse Posts Lowest Ratings of the Year-- AgainTater's ratings are inversely proportional to his insulin level. He hit one record low the previous week. Now he hits another one.CNN’s "Reliable Sources" with far-left host Brian Stelter had its lowest-rated show of the year on Sunday, failing to crack the one-million viewer plateau for the second-straight week. Stelter's program, which is billed as a media program but has morphed into a weekly partisan attack on conservative news organizations, averaged only 936,000 on March 21. The total was its smallest audience of the year. The most recent episode of "Reliable Sources" dropped a staggering 65 percent of its viewers since its Jan. 10 edition that averaged 2.7 million viewers, as viewers tuned in for the latest on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.Hey, Tater? I got something for you. ![]() "Good evening. Chris Cuomo is off tonight." That sentence, uttered at 1:02:16 AM Thursday in a re-airing of Wednesday's Anderson Cooper 360, is the only time the name "Cuomo" has been spoken on CNN all day. The day after news of yet another scandal involving New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo broke. A story that involves his brother, CNN's own Chris Cuomo. Who was "off tonight." CNN did not report Thursday on this latest major scandal involving the governor, which involves allegations of favoritism and outright nepotism in his leadership and handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state. That leadership has, however, been the subject of a great deal of commentary on CNN and indeed in the press at large for the last year. It has resulted in a book deal, an Emmy, a star-studded birthday bash, and paeans to his leadership from celebrities and his brother's colleagues, alike.I wonder if some Gentry Liberal members of grifter media would like to revise their estimations that CNN is the least biased network. Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres's ratings fell by one million since the most poorly kept secret in Hollywood -- that she was a hugely entitled nasty bitch -- leaked out. Initially, I was going to scramble some eggs and throw on some lox, but I was too tired to cook so I got a plate and tossed on some butter lettuce, cottage cheese, lox, gefilte fish, corn, hummus, sauerkraut, and poured some olive oil on it. Mmmmm. Jew-Jew platters, FTW.

207 > yes it's based on a fat joke I never, ever understood. "Yo mamma's so fat that when she sits around the house she really sits around the house." I guess it means she envelopes the house?
That's the meaning I always attributed to that joke. It makes more sense than, "You're momma's so fat, she jumped and got stuck." Stuck? Like, in the sky? Posted by: bonhomme at March 26, 2021 02:01 PM (UW2ZS) On In Living Color the Your momma jokes were a game show. The ultimate champion was Ed O'Neil. The two jokes I remember him using was "your momma's so fat when I have sex with her I just slap her thigh and ride the wave in" complete with him doing an ocean wave hand motion. And the one he won it with. "Your momma is so stupid, she gave your uncle a blowjob because he said it would help his unemployment." They bleeped "job". Dr. Anthony Fauci says scientists are trying to answer the two most pressing questions for millions of Americans already fully vaccinated against COVID-19: Can they become infected without showing any symptoms, and if so, can they transmit the coronavirus to someone else? Fauci said at the White House coronavirus briefing Friday that a large trial is under way involving 12,000 college students at more than 20 universities. "This is a question of extreme importance," he said. "This will help inform science-based decisions about mask use and about social distancing post-vaccination." Half the students will get the two-dose Moderna shot and the other half will initially serve as a control group, while getting the same vaccine four months later. All the students will keep an electronic diary, swab their noses daily and provide occasional blood samples. They'll also provide the names of close contacts. Fauci says it may take about five months to get some answers. Posted by: Bertram Cabot, Jr. at March 26, 2021 02:17 PM (63Dwl) 326

Whaaaat? First, thought there was no asymptomatic transmission of covid. Also, if you're vaccinated, how would you get covid AND without knowing it? Also, who would you infect if there is herd immunity? And finally: this assumes masks and arbitrary social distancing actually works. Hey, if you want to do a documentary about someone's life and how drugs ruined them, fine. But a movie like that is supposed to have a plot, a purpose, and a conclusion, not just a series of empty vignettes without meaning or story. Too many films like that being made these days. I've read more than a few novels by McMurtry. Liked his Westerns and historicals best; couldn't finish Horseman, Pass By, his first. He had a strange style -- you see it in Lonesome Dove and its sequels and prequels -- of jumping from one character viewpoint to another, sometimes in the same paragraph. I guess he knew what he was doing. But it's disorienting to read.

I visited McMurtry's home town of Archer City, TX, in 2014, on a road trip back from Palo Duro Canyon. The town -- it's where they filmed Last Picture Show[/i\], and it still looks like that -- doesn't seem to have discovered air conditioning. The diner on Main Street was hot and stuffy, and so were LM's 2 book stores. I escaped back to my car in record time.

To me, all these Big Important People getting gotcha-ed in various states of disrobe while doing the Big Important Things they do on Zoom strongly suggests that the exhibitionist kink that got them into Big Important Public Positions in the first place is getting out of their control. Talking to Andrea at our Washington Desk or attending a board meeting to discuss opening a branch in Brussels while naked from the waist down is just phone sex for our Best And Brightest.
