I watched the entire thing on twitch, I know a bunch of you watched along with me. It was literally a totally normal non violent protest where a few unknown people dressed to riot walked in to unlocked doors at the capitol while cops stood by with guns. Other than the one idiot who shot the chick in the head, I saw very little violence (other than people pushing back against police barricades). Mostly just idiots walking around with lecterns and taking selfies in Pelosi's office.

But right now we need to take advice & action against protecting ourselves and our American way of life. The long and short of it is that Raltz got unfairly berated by a young Lt (I think) because Raltz had a Iron Maiden poster on his wall and this idiot thought the Union Jack was a "Confederate flag" and the skeleton represented that "the South will rise again". It does not work like that--dunno if you have been in the military or not or dealt with the top brass--most of them are bureaucrats and politicians in uniform and the rank and file know that.
How much did the King's General's succeed in repelling the assaults on the palaces and keeping control of Paris during the French revolution? Hint, they folded up and sucked their thumbs ,while the rank and file did nothing. Something similar happened with the Shah, the plan was that the military would back a reformer to keep Khomeini out. The German generals likewise did nothing to prevent the Kaiser from stupid acts nor the rise of you know who. Heck even the Sov Union military sat on its ass when the remaining hardliners tried to take out Gorby to save the Sov. Union.

Here's the thing that goes on here - too many of you project just as hard as any leftist. You project onto these various groups loyalties and attitudes and sensibilities that simply are not there. You wish they were. But they are not. The military is a cross section of the country. And as in any bureaucracy - the most power hungry of the bunch have risen to the top.
