Also documented (Bobulinski being merely the most recent and dispositive evidence).
Doesn't seem Barr has even made a head-fake towards meeting the standard here.
And recall - his central purpose is to restore the credibility/reputation of the DOJ. This does precisely the opposite - it looks like potentially a scandal in its own right.

Barr's action is not really surprising. I too thought he was a "good" guy. But this outcome shouldn't be shocking given what it means to be a "good" guy anymore. Bear with me here.
1. Our "good guys" are willing to fight, so long as fighting doesn't cross certain lines that jeopardize the peace and unity of the US.
2. Because of this obvious unwillingness to jeopardize peace and unity if the US, the left instantly escalates every argument to that level in order to get the "Good Republicans" to back down.
Basically trying to save the republic has become the principal instrument of its enslavement. Because one side is unwilling to go there, one side is, so the former will always lose in the end when the inevitable escalation reaches that point.
It's our fault in an extent to the extent any of us have in the past been reluctant to talk about things like national divorce. We conditioned the communist left to threaten to tear the country apart every time they wanted a new toy.
Barr is just one of many like him. Who probably has some principals but is unwilling to go far enough. And for our part, if we want to have any hope of saving the US we have to stop trying to do so, and concentrate solely on advancing the principals of freedom even at the cost of the US.

There are tons of well known posters that never came back (and even more that did) after a blow up. Usually ends up with someone being wrong, and pride getting in the way. I've done it, the hard part is getting over yourself and jumping back in the ring for another round.

Add that to the meat I ordered last week arrived beautifully packaged by the shipper, and was rotten because it sat for six days in the USPS Springfield Massachusetts warehouse. This is the good summary, here. Half-measures, not going for the win, and not wanting to be the bad guy on 24/7 TV has made to many people pull their punches, and lose battles that weren't even fought. We're already the bad guys in 24/7 infotainment, nothing to lose there. What use playing by the rules while the opposition cheats like mad? There's going to be nothing left now unless we fight for it. And as is obvious with Roberts, personal and principle reasons for avoiding conflict can be further undermined by having past sins remembered. Guess those of us who are able & willing will have to save the Republic the hard way now.

Jackstraw and Levin sold "hope", the check was in the mail, justice is coming in #twoweeks, that kind of shiat. They waived the Constitution and preached about justice, but they were doing so to boost themselves, like a Stuart Smally "Good enough, smart enough" mantra. They knew, just knew, the Great Pumpkin would come this year. But it didn't. And it wasn't.

Jackstraw and Levin can be great, hopeful leaders. They encouraged people here.
But first they have to accept the Real. Levin's gettin' there.

Hey, I'm not down on blaming Jackstraw. His trust in the plan is/was genuine. Blaming his trust because it was misplaced in the lack of execution is wrongly directed. The Jackstraw thing was puzzling. JS posts , EXCEPT, those to do with the Deep State and alleged investigations were interesting, informative.
20+ years of personally investigating exactly the type of fraud and public corruption involving the Trump attackers ....none of what JS would posit squared with anything I'd seen real life corruption investigating business.
Just guessing but many here hoped JS was correct. Even me at times. . But I was certain NOTHING he was putting forth reflected my experience.
