Sounds like Trump is closer to John Roberts' wife than John Roberts is.
Predictably enough. The media won't stop demanding he denounce this and that -- and everytime he does, the leftwing media -- including Fox! -- pretends he didn't. And what the fuck is Biden denouncing? Certainly not antifa or BLM, actual urban terrorists burning cities and murdering people and ramming innocent really peaceful protesters down with their cars. It probably has to do with engagement and turnout instead of voting percentages.
I think I saw that mail in voting for blacks is seriously down this year versus 2016 percentage wise. They're not voting.
It always made more sense that the main effect Trump's aggressive courting of the black vote would be mostly fewer Democratic votes rather than more Republican votes from the voting bloc. That seems to be happening.

I quit watching Fox and Friends for the most part almost two years ago when they kept replacing one dingbat female anchor with another. It turned into Sesame Street for retirees. I still watch FBN, as Maria seems to be keeping it on the businesses side, invoking politics when she can have guests on that discuss how it affects business. But at noon and after work, it's OANN. I'll watch Tucker and Laura. Hannity drives me insane with his repetitive sing song style. Fox wouldn't cover the riots with embedded reporters , they would have someone go to the edge of it, after it was over, and give you their impression. They actually forced me to go to CNN a few times to see what was actually happening live. I have to go to the frickin Weather Channel to get info on fires in CA.( I have friends in northern California and there are new really bad fires there again and Fox has nothing on it. Maybe a 10 second blurb on one of their news breaks. On a news channel.
Fox is nothing but a political machine , it's not news.

I like OAN. They are fairly low-budget (but getting better). The anchorettes have Teh Hawt. Beyond that, as an actual news source, they're pretty good. Their reporting is largely straight, but the bias shows up in story selection. They're unapologetically conservative and quite pro-Trump, and this is reflected in story selection. They cover the US. Their international coverage is borrowed, largely from EuroNews (which they often show as a video feed without commentary). There are fairly few commercials.

If I had to guess, I'd assume they're doing it based on the zipcode origin of the ballot and the percentage of blacks in that area.
In this burg it's easy, we're about 30% near-east Asian (Indo/Paki/etc), 30% far-east Asian (ABC/FOB/Filipino/etc), 30% white (that includes the Russian Jew immigrants), and 10% everything else. I think I know half the blacks in town personally.

OANN is really good, although I'll be honest. They are as in the tank for Trump as MSNBC was for Obama. That said, they report intelligently. They also offer up news from outside the USA. Stories of the ME, Europe, Africa, etc.
They are conservative. They have pundit like shows in the evening, unfortunately, my favorite Liz Wheeler, just left the network while hinting she has new projects and couldn't reveal them yet. She was a firebrand and was as direct speaking as you could find on the tube. Alex Salvi is on in the evening and is also a young conservative reporter, has great guests on.

If I had to guess, I'd assume they're doing it based on the zipcode origin of the ballot and the percentage of blacks in that area.
In this burg it's easy, we're about 30% near-east Asian (Indo/Paki/etc), 30% far-east Asian (ABC/FOB/Filipino/etc), 30% white (that includes the Russian Jew immigrants), and 10% everything else. I think I know half the blacks in town personally.

Clutch, we wish we could, but we live in the hinterlands of Michigan, and only have old phone lines with very slow DSL service to stream from. It's not an option for us, or we would. We have a Roku, but our phone service modem constantly drops our bluetooth signal. Our phone service is like third world where we are. We lose it whenever it ..rains. Or is windy. Mr.Jen works from home and has lots of fun trying to zoom type calls with work. His work IT was appalled when they did a speed test on our service.
Rural internet service is truly in need of upgrading , as our president pointed out. And our Democrat betters laughed and wanted to know why some hayseed farmer needed internet service on his tractor. After all, you just drop a seed in the ground and it comes up as corn one day.

I gotta admit it was weird watching Bill O'Reilly the other night on Right Side Broadcasting. These guys seem to be doing ok on alt media, but I'm sure it's tough to think about walking away from that Fox paycheck. Tucker's got his family and homes to think about.

They were 22% of mail EV in 2016. Which is more in line with their state population.
They are grossly underperforming as of today.

Worked a campaign mumbledy years ago. You'd be surprised the amount of data campaigns can get on your. Then it was daily updates on who and who hasn't voted, to tailor call lists.
Now it is probably real-time updates on whether your vote has been registered or your ballot has been returned.

OANN is really good, although I'll be honest. They are as in the tank for Trump as MSNBC was for Obama. That said, they report intelligently. They also offer up news from outside the USA. Stories of the ME, Europe, Africa, etc.

Correct. And unlike our counterparts, conservative viewers are able to think critically. We can see and filter out the bias, because we've been hearing it from the other side since forever. I know that Trump is always right in the eyes of the kids @ OAN, and I know when to ignore the boosterism. Democrat voters simply don't get this. They think their sources are objective, or at least moderate.
A lot of the problems in networks' bias are down to the audience, in the end.

I think Hispanics tend to be diffusing more than blacks, blacks remain concentrated in certain urbs while Hispanics chase the job opportunities.
Like I've said before - the Mexican immigrant does roofing (or landscaping, or...) for someone else. Not necessarily skilled work. Then he buys a truck and does it for himself. Hires a couple guys, if nothing goes wrong he buys another truck and hires a few more guys. Builds his network.

OAN is better than the big nets for int'l coverage, and the reason is simple: they're poor, and Herring runs the thing as a vanity. He's said so.
Pool footage is cheap, and it allows OAN to fill their considerable airtime (they have few commercials).
They're not dumping a gazillion dollars into celebrities; they use young punks with no background augmented by a couple of marquis correspondents who are still young enough to be B-listers.
They give these kids the pool footage from AP and EuroNews, and let them report synopses from the prompter. Good business, if you're interested in stuff outside the US.

I don't like streaming. I have streaming services, but things I actually want I still buy on disc. This is especially true of music, where rights agreements seem to shift around quite a bit. I have a big CD collection. But streaming media, while convenient and while it has its place, is ethereal. The moment someone else decides you shouldn't have it, you don't have it.

You're cutting the cord on the content providers and networks. The bandwidth carrier still gets your dollars, but the profit situation at cable companies is *not* consistent. Those addressable cable boxes and TV subscriptions are *much* more lucrative than data-only connections. A lot of their profit is in the TV business. As more people cut out cable TV (assuming that they do), it will likely drive up the cost of data-only connections. There are vast sums of money involved in the TV delivery business, and the cable companies need those subscriptions.

Another benefit: a lot of the higher-end Blu-Ray players (which aren't even expensive anymore) can access networked storage. For someone like me who has a big CD collection that he has ripped to a media server and stored losslessly (with a major commitment of drive space), being able to stream my own music through the stereo at full quality without disc swapping is a big bonus, too.

My theory is that the Dems had this great idea about making all the voting by mail, thinking they could cheat up a bunch of additional votes and swing the election. But then the legitimate Dem votes that they expected would come it started getting rejected because of being filled out incorrectly.
NC law says that the ballots must be witnessed, and a I bet a lot of them weren't. Dems tried to get that overturned and a Federal judge slapped them down.
So now they are under running their normal early vote expectations and are panicking trying to figure out how to get their base to the polls.
This is why suddenly they need door knockers, they didn't think they needed them before.

Exactly right - some of the best posts come at the tail end of a thread.
The Democrats have made several errors in judgement:
1) Protests and unrest help Democrats. They don't.
2) We can steal the election via mail in ballots. But their voters are really stupid.
3) We can browbeat people into voting for us. Who doesn't like getting screamed at?
4) Wrecking the economy will make Trump look bad. problem is the Trump economy is too good, and people remember.
