A state superior court judge ruled Wednesday that a new election will be held for a disputed Paterson, New Jersey city council seat after allegations of voter fraud via mail-in-ballots. The ruling comes only weeks after voter fraud charges were brought against the May 12 election winner Alex Mendez, per the Associated Press.

Mendez was charged with voter fraud along with Paterson Council Vice President Michael Jackson, Shelim Khalique and Abu Rayzen -- all of whom have denied the charges, according to The Hill.

An investigation performed by the U.S. Postal Service's law enforcement arm found hundreds of mail-in ballots in a Paterson mailbox, as reported by the AP.
Ultimately, 800 ballots were discounted by the Passaic County Board of Elections and another 2,300 ballots were rendered ineligible after analyzing signatures on file and comparing them to those on the ballots, according to the Hill. A Passaic County report shows that these 3,100 disqualified ballots is equal to more than 22% of the total votes cast in the election.

The local race has garnered national attention amid the political battle regarding nationwide mail-in voting for the upcoming presidential election. President Donald Trump made reference to the Paterson election in a tweet attacking mail-in voting.

Sounds like somebody on Mendez' payroll was filling out ballots without bothering to try and match the voter signatures on file. Didn't have access to the registration information? If they had just bribed somebody to get access to the signatures, they could have done a much more effective job of stealing the election.

I'll highlight something you're all thinking. All, and I mean all, of the anecdotal evidence suggests a juggernaut for Trump in November. He travels to Maine in the middle of this China Pox a few months ago and people come out and line the roads just to see him drive by. He outdraws Democrat opponents something like 10 to 1. The Democrats can't even get a bump from their convention or the announcement of a running mate.

People saw what Trumps economics team can accomplish. It was "destroyed" and then he does it again. The Democrats, in their fervor to try and destroy the economy basically gave the current administration an opportunity to ram home the point that there is no one better for the job. They got to highlight that point a second time.

In truth, the only people totally on board with Biden are doing so, only because they are SOOOOO anti-Trump. There is a special kind of mental illness attached to that, and it's not a majority of the Democrat party. It's the most vocal, and the most radical part, and people are shying away from associating with that faction.

The writing is on the wall. November is going to be a landslide. No amount of fraud is going to help the Left's hopes and dreams. I suspect it's obvious to the decision makers on that side of the aisle and they will switch to after election obstruction positions every before November rolls around.

I'll highlight something you're all thinking. All, and I mean all, of the anecdotal evidence suggests a juggernaut for Trump in November. He travels to Maine in the middle of this China Pox a few months ago and people come out and line the roads just to see him drive by. He outdraws Democrat opponents something like 10 to 1. The Democrats can't even get a bump from their convention or the announcement of a running mate.

People saw what Trumps economics team can accomplish. It was "destroyed" and then he does it again. The Democrats, in their fervor to try and destroy the economy basically gave the current administration an opportunity to ram home the point that there is no one better for the job. They got to highlight that point a second time.

In truth, the only people totally on board with Biden are doing so, only because they are SOOOOO anti-Trump. There is a special kind of mental illness attached to that, and it's not a majority of the Democrat party. It's the most vocal, and the most radical part, and people are shying away from associating with that faction.

The problem with in-person voting is that fraud at the necessary scale is more difficult to enable and easier to detect. There is no sanctity of the ballot, but those involved with the rigging don't want a scandal and none of the higher-ups want the risk of going to prison for exposing that fact. Vote by mail makes it easier to accomplish their goals.

I have this suspicion that the CA GOP was simply caught off guard about how ballot harvesting was going to be used. I never accused them of being smart, but I imagine that individual candidates do want to win the seats for a chance at the Congressional pension (after 5 years service).

That means they'll be more willing to fight fire with fire in order to get their elected positions than the CA GOP is willing to have any individual fight in the legislature.

The deadline is actually 1/6/2021, the date the new House is seated.

If state's haven't certified their electors by then, the electors don't count.

If nobody gets 270, then the House votes.

Vote by state delegation. Cali's 53 seats, mostly Dem, counts as one vote. Montana's one seat, an R, counts as one vote.

The current split in the House is:

26 R
23 D
1 Tied (PA).

Gotta win by 1. If it ends up 25 to 25, they vote again.

The election of 1824 was decided in the House.

Andrew Jackson had more ECs (91) and more votes overall.

JQ Adams came in second with 84 ECs.

William Crawford came in 3rd with 41 ECs.

John Clay came in 4th with 37 ECs.

Military spec, since NATO uses ball ammo.
Seems our boys don't have an issue killing with ball ammo

Sure. Not as effective, and they also have more problem with over-penetration (going through a wall and killing someone on the other side).

They're a helluva lot more effective than nothing, though.

I have a metric crap ton of .380 on the shelf. I don't shoot it anymore and I only have my Glock 42 in .380 which I never take out to shoot anymore.

It was my EDC gun in the 2 years after I destroyed my shoulder and went through surgery and physical therapy. It was about the most recoil I could handle through that period. Now I carry a 9mm Sig.

You get a new gun, you are going to need ammo, otherwise why buy it?

A glock 17? You need a 50 round box just to fill three magazines. You get two boxes and go to the range. Likely you come back dry. So you need another box or six.

That is where a lot of this ammo is going.

Your average gun owner goes through less than a box of ammo a year. Suddenly they realize they need more than that half box of .30-06 hunting ammo from 3 years ago if things go sideways. Maybe they need a box for their 9mm they haven't touched since they bought it in 2013?
