New Call of Duty Videogame Trailer Features Yuri Bezmenov

Yuri Bezmenov is the high-ranking KGB defector whose warning about Soviet subversion -- noting it takes only 15-20 years to demoralize a country, once you capture its media and schools -- is often cited.

The new Call of Duty entry is called "Cold War." It features long clips from Bezmenov, and shows images of 1960s radical protesters as he shifts from talking about the first step of subversion (demoralization) to the second (destabilization).

I'm so suspicious of anyone in the entertainment or tech industries that I take this as an attempt to claim that the last step in Soviet subversion is... Trump.

But leftwingers are freaking out about the use of a KGB defector exposing all their plans, so I guess I'll take it that way too, provisionally.

Just because a former KGB agent warned us that Marxist propaganda and agitation was intended to destabilize us from the inside doesn't mean the avowedly-Marxist grievance terrorists of Black Lives Matter who have besieged our cities and destroyed our economy for 80+ days are just executing the Marxist active measures plan.

It could just be like a coincidence or something.

h/t Rodrigio Borgia and also a friend who asked me about this. I don't know much about Call of Duty. Sometimes I hear griping that the game has been tired and has lacked innovation for its last several iterations.

Even agitprop might tell the truth on occasion. It woun't be the "truth" it's trying to tell, but it will be true nonetheless.

The Left uses Trump's erratic and (let's be honest) shallow understanding of our governmental system to project their own bad intentions and and pathologies. Trump's not an incipient dictator, but Kamala Harris might well be if she acted like Trump. Obama already tried. THe crumbling of this country's governmental norms preceded Trump by 20+ years, back to the Arkansas mafia shit and wild overreach of the Clintons.

It really is going according to plan. It's just not a good plan.

Video game journalists HATE the first person shooter in general, and hate both its popularity and celebration of the military specifically. Battlefield V was such a colossal failure that even Electronic Arts might realize that you get woke and go broke. And Call of Duty has been running out of creative steam for some time.

So they may as well embrace the right wing and just celebrate being proudly American. Why not? It might even be profitable.

COD: Warzone is the current game in the queue, but the single player is not terribly involved. In the single player campaign , you help middle eastern insurgents fight Russia backed thugs (kinda Syria-ish). It's real action is multiplayer, and that is simply ru and gun against other people, no propaganda involved.

This seems to be an actual story arc, like Black Ops. The truth manages to get through in cases like that.

100 I'm so suspicious of anyone in the entertainment or tech industries that
I take this as an attempt to claim that the last step in Soviet
subversion is... Trump.

But leftwingers are freaking out about the use of a KGB defector
exposing all their plans, so I guess I'll take it that way too,
provisionally.

Let me help you with this. You don't have kids. I have two - a 21 year old girl that's going through college - and a 16 years old boy that's getting through high school and I doubt will ever attend another school once he's done.

He's sane. She's a piece of work.

His cohort is making connections and openly talking about shit that the higher minds here would consider radical. She's going through all the forms and processes to get a credential to do - something. Who knows what ? She doesn't. But she's sure she needs one.

The point is - stuff like this getting through via entertainment, and this bunch is WAY MORE influenced by gaming than movies or television when it comes to entertainment - is not surprising. There is a significant portion of youth now that view the entire higher education process as horse shit.

Supposedly, we do as well. Until it gets down to people actually not going to college. Then - some get a little antsy. Is Johnny really gonna' just be pipe-fitter rather than a lawyer ?

And here's the deal - as I've always seen it. The US was NEVER great when it mattered because of our higher ed. We were great because you could find a surplus of dicks in Normandy that could weld a plow to a Sherman. And plenty of fucks that could use basic algebra and pull the right tape to land time on target.

Nothing wrong with that. A bunch right with it. But we've never been a nation of all doctors and lawyers. We've kicked a couple in the teeth that thought that was the way to go.

136 So Creepy Joe Biden & Kameltow Harris are flat out lying again & the media is lapping it up with a spoon...

Biden to ABC's Robin Roberts: "I don't want to defund" the police, but Trump does
https://t.co/d8W727Rq8i?amp=1

However on July 8, 2020 Joe Biden said this (https://t.co/SPNGL7lohu?amp=1) :

Joe Biden said in an interview Wednesday July 8th that some funding should "absolutely" be redirected from police, amid calls from some in his party to "defund the police" in the wake of the protests across the country.

...in a Now This interview with activist Ady Barkan, the presumptive Democratic nominee said that police forces don't need surplus military equipment, saying this is what leads them to "become the enemy" in a community.

"But do we agree that we can redirect some of the [police] funding?" Barkan asked Biden.

"Yes, absolutely," said the former vice president.

On June 11, 2020 Kameltoe Harris said this (https://tinyurl.com/y8u7a63w):

In an interview with "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Harris applauded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's decision to cut $150 million from the Los Angeles Police Department's budget, but she stopped short of saying she supports completely defunding the police.

"We've got to re-examine what we're doing with American taxpayer dollars and ask the question: are we getting the right return on our investment? Are we actually creating healthy and safe communities?" she said. "That's a legitimate conversation and it requires a really critical evaluation. I applaud Eric Garcetti for doing what he's done."

Dude had an engineering degree from westpoint. Now he cannot hold a midddle management job for more than two years. Somehow or another, his nasty ass personality always outs him as an asshole. I've only 'helped' once or twice since the late 90s.

Waiting till he's nearing retirement so i can sell his ssn and personal data.

Every now and then, i take him out of my deep freeze and admire the freezer burn on my revenge.

163 I would say that the recent Supreme Court decision on DACA repeal has broadened the understanding of what can be done by executive order. A coupld of months ago, I would have thought the EO was of course much more restricted than the Obama precedent. Now I can't say that.
Posted by: Caesar North of the Rubicon at August 21, 2020 07:33 PM (jK8Z7)

Insty had a really good post about that. He pointed to a court decision very early in Bush's first term which had the government prosecuting a guy for selling stuff to the Iranians. The law under which he was prosecuted had, in fact, lapsed. But Bush issued an executive order extending it.

The defendant, as you might expect, said that's something only Congress can do. Presidents can't just issue new laws like that. But the court said Congress really meant to act, even though it hadn't actually done so, so the EO was a-okay and ruled for the prosecution.

It took months for me to understand the game--even visually to be able to follow the puck on screen. And then I really started to enjoy it.

I can completely understand why a casual observer sees a video game stream and dismisses it as uninteresting (or worse).

But, if you begin to have a sense of the skill and gamesmanship going on--it has the same drama and display of talent that other kinds of entertainment provide.

173 You know - gaming gets a bad rap. It does. I get tired of it.

Plenty of folks talk about the good old days - where you collected cards of somebody doing something you weren't doing. Watching the screen while somebody was doing something you weren't doing. Collecting shirts and posters and line-up cards and this and that and other - but you were not catching balls or making tackles.

You were watching.

So these kids - they watch your preferred ball games less. Often not at all. But they at least twiddle their thumbs and actively engage and make decisions - and often network toward a common goal.

How many of you old time sports ball fans - after a great game by the Packers - drug your asses out there and pushed a blocking sled ? I'm betting few to none.

At least this bunch is twiddling their thumbs and talking.

I'll take a little portion of credit for tweeting back to Buck when he claimed Trump was Bad for his "good people" Covington comment. He thought Trump was calling the KKK good people. But he tweeted back to me (a nobody) and was open to dialogue ... Big Difference from the Cucks that continue to push the BigLie (as Biden just did). And later Buck was one of those pushing the "Trump did not call the KKK good people" guys. Winner.

so it may be we are at a precipice ... and good people are waking up, even in DC, or in the gaming world. imo that Bergey guy in ShadowGate movie is telling the truth ... being shunned by most, even as those Generals (the ones that backed Biden are the ones exposed in that video) ... run their own shadow PsyOps for profit. Would really help to have more serious indictments ...

217 For a contrary view on Bezmenov's claims - I think the Russians have always been experts at claiming to be responsible for things other, more creative people did. I don't doubt that Bezmenov and his superiors wanted it to happen, but I think we had far more than enough home grown monsters and haters to self sabotage us, even starting back in WW2. We've *always* had people who hated Capitalism and hated other Americans, and who craved power for themselves. So the Russians made themselves seem big by claiming they were doing it all, but they were a tiny drop in the bucket. It was Us. We did it to Ourselves, because we had people who Wanted it to happen.

Definitely. That why I used MMA and WWE. The MMA fighter better win, it can help if he puts on an interesting fight but winning is very important. Those feelings are sort of extinguished. Part of that, I hate to admit is, is due to social media. I can see where they are and where I am and I really experienced no long term damage. And how many adults do it ? How many would tolerate kids playing ball or roaming wild now ?

And again - how many adults get their ass chapped about little johnny playing that damn machine, before they snuggle down for the Eagles / Redskins before the real attraction hits when the Cowboys play the Niners ?

I get tired of hearing about it. I understand - a lot of folks like to scold. But they won't like the alternative, where kids are chopping cotton. Because in that alternative - there ain't no TV. Or electricity. Or cheap liquor. Or newspapers.

I'm not too terribly geeky about that. Crimson Skies had some interesting planes that you could build, none of them based on any real aircraft. It was typical weight/armament tradeoff type stuff. Fast planes couldn't have much firepower and had no bombs. There were some ground targets and air targets, the armored zeppelins were the most fun to try to shoot down. The banter before a mission was sorta retro and the back story was pretty kewl. All PG-rated. No blood or gore or guts or veins in your teeth.

Microsoft had a game - Fighter Ace?--that was a very early online WW2 sim. I think it split the difference between realism and arcade flying mechanics.

It was a lot of fun, but mostly because the center of the map between the four bases (American, British, German, Japanese) was just a hornets nest of people trying to chase each other in a circle.

No one would spend the time climbing to get their plane to elevation, so they'd be all sitting on each other's tail just barely above stall speed in one long horizontal turn.

Dropping in from above was a thing of beauty.

Marxism gives these malcontent pieces of shit who suck at life a "rational" basis to air their baseless grievances.

Strip them of the forums where they can express their complaints, and their impact on the rest of us is neutralized.

Disappear a few marxists, wait until the next wave takes their place and loudly self-identifies, lather, rinse, and repeat, and any country can be marxist-free within three or four such cycles.

That is the lesson Pinochet bestowed upon the world.

264 I rehash things some times, and while the events are unforgetable, they don't diminish me in my own eyes the way they used to, Insom. At the time, I felt horrible and ashamed of my circumstances. Those feelings are sort of extinguished. Part of that, I hate to admit is, is due to social media. I can see where they are and where I am and I really experienced no long term damage. A few of them are in circumstances that make me feel as though a revenge was already visited on their lives. And that doesn't make me feel better, and I'm glad it not because of any thing I did.

272 @Insomniac-Had a guy that f'ed with me on two separate occasions in my twenties. Two separate times within a year I bumped into this guy I was by myself and drunk AF. I've never really been a drinker let alone get wasted. Probably within that year I ran into him was the only two times I was drunk. It was over a mouthy girlfriend of his that gave me shit for something a friend of mine did which was trivial in itself. He blindsided me with a shove at a local club parking lot in Reno that knocked me on my ass. I let it roll off my back but the SOB confronted me again, drunk, alone while he was with a group of friends. Never ran into him again but always swore if I did, and was sober, we were going to have words. I would see I'm on occasion in his vehicle but never on foot and I wasn't about to chase him down. Ten years passed and I ended up behind this guy at a left hand turn signal on the outskirts of Reno. I honked my horn and signaled for him to pull over. Both of us got out of our trucks and he was clueless as to who I was and was wondering if he had a flat. I asked if he recognized me and he said "no, should I". I explained what he had done and that right now he has a chance to confront me sober. I let him know I intended to fight right there. Years hadn't been kind to the guy as he was chubby and out of shape and wasn't surrounded by friends. He actually apologized, said he did stupid shit back then. He said thanks for giving him the chance he didn't give. He was pretty sincere in my opinion and it was squashed right there.
