My big sister (4 years old at the time) had to take in the medicine and soup in to Dad since Mom was pregnant. Dad did get over it and out I came in March. It was a scary time for them. The only evidence of his lying was in the FBI's 302s which took months to be approved by McCabe after much rewriting by his crew. FBI 302s are considered God's truth in court and, in fact, often additional charges of lying to the court will result if challenged by the defendant. Flynn had to swallow hard and attempt to keep his son out of jail. It is even possible that he didn't think Trump would be able to survive all the attacks from the FBI, CIA, congress, et al.
