Tara Reade's Former Neighbor Comes Forward to Say Reade Made the Same Allegation in the 90s
And the new corroborating witness calls herself a Biden supporter.
Tara Reade, a former staffer in Joe Biden's Senate office, has accused the Democratic presidential nominee of sexually assaulting her in a congressional hallway in 1993. Now Reade's former neighbor Lynda LaCasse, a Biden supporter, tells Insider that Reade told her about the alleged assault in detail in 1995 or 1996: "This happened, and I know it did because I remember talking about it." A former colleague of Reade's also told Insider that Reade talked in the mid-1990s of being sexually harassed by her former boss in Washington, DC. The women come forward just days after video emerged of a woman that Reade says is her mother calling into CNN's Larry King Live in 1993 to talk about her daughter's "problems" with a prominent senator. Biden has not addressed the accusations, but a campaign spokesperson says they are false.I was hoping to hold off on pushing this senile rapist out until the convention. So who will the Replacement Candidate be? By the way, the Hill mentions that not a single Sunday show mentioned the revelation that Tara Reade's mother called the Larry King show to talk about the allegation. And that includes FoxNews' show with admitted liberal Chris Wallace. Why does Fox and the liberal Chris Wallace consistently get passes for their own liberal media bias?

I just have to say that if this Tara Reade story was preplanned to release, now is the absolute perfect time to do it.
Biden has a delegate lead that's effectively insurmountable. The rest of the field has dropped out. He's pretty much the candidate, but only pretty much. There's still room for him to be removed before he gets the nomination, but the moves to take him out within the rules would be damn near impossible to follow through on (convincing the rest of the primary voters to vote for someone else, especially since everyone's dropped out). And then there's the less rule bound methods, which would lead to complete chaos.
They could either strike Biden's name and install someone else, which would piss off everyone but that one person's supporters. That one person will most likely not have spent the last year trying to build a coalition within the Party, so it's a disaster. They could also re-do the entire primary, but it would be last second, subject to the whims of the Establishment, and be a complete disaster in execution.
Biden is effectively the nominee, but not actually, which gives those wanting him gone a whiff of hope to be able to get him gone. That hope is dangerous and could bread into resentment and anger by the time Biden just takes the nomination at the convention (virtual or whatever).
After the nomination, it'd be too easy for the left to simply ignore it. Now, though? That desperate hope of replacing him is going to feed a lot of anger in certain feminist circles of the left.

I'm pretty sure his extant delegates are pledged to him for the first round of voting, right? Can the DNC just ... replace him?

Yeah. Or I'd suggest the meat you saw on sale was older meat that was repackaged from going to the restaurant industry to consumer, and they put it on sale because it was on the outer edges of how long meat can stay refrigerated without going bad.

There are a couple of additional "hidden" stories behind
these accusations, and whether Biden will step down
from the nomination.
I suspect there are still intense battles between the
Hillary and Obama camps within the DNC. Both hate
Trump, but each is also trying to stake out their own
positions to get advantage.
One "hidden" story is, which D can generate the fullest
support of the African-American community. Hillary
still wants to be believe she can best generate that
support, especially among AA women. Biden's being
accused of assaulting Tara Reade, hurts his case in that
side's view.
Which leads to a second "hidden by general media"
AA story: black women are VERY unhappy that black
men have supported Trump MUCH more than they
do, as a recent Vox article notes. The total numbers
aren't huge, but big enough to hurt D chances in the
election. ("24 percent of black men approve of Trump.
Just 6 percent of black women do. Why?") Also note
that the Biden campaign has placed AA women in its
campaign more prominently.
So what's the Obama side's counter? Push a black
woman towards the highest level of power possible. I
suspect that's where the support for Abrams or K
Harris is coming from. A problem, though: neither D
side is likely to run TWO women on the same ticket just
yet. So Abrams or Harris can only be VP; if somehow
Michelle Obama were to be coaxed into running, her
running mate would also be a guy.
Possible compromise? Someone like Cuomo (if not
Joe) with a black female for VP. But would the pro

Food supply chain experiencing some bumps, but won't amount to much.
A large part of the facade of "mitigation" will be gone or crumbling inside a week, outside the 3 most affected areas. Restaurant volumes probably won't see much improvement for a while yet, but current adjustment of consumer habits has not broken or even seriously stressed much of the system other than in spot incidents.

Dairy farmers are dumping milk because of fewer purchasers. They will trickle down to cheese and butter makers.

Other stuff is much more difficult to do -- how do you easily turn a 20 pound bag of flour in to a 5 pound one, complete with all of the nutritional labels and everything else required? The machines have to be retooled at the flour factory (if its possible), the bag producers need to up their game, all kinds of red tape has to be cut through, all new supply chains from manufacturer to grocery store distributor to grocery stores need to be created...
...It's pretty complex.

Here's the thing: We all know that the whole premise behind the sexual allegations in the political arena was meant, not to force the candidate to withdraw from the race (though it worked with Jack Ryan and ultimately gave us Obama, didn't it?), but to shame voters and supporters. I just got back from the grocery store. Everyone had on a mask, except me. I felt like a pariah. I wanted to stock up on meat just in case what they are saying about the supply chain is true and I like to pick my own packages so didn;t want to use instacart. There was plenty of steak, ground meat, pork and chicken so I bought some of each and a ham steak. Couldn;t wait to get out of the store. Plenty of Kens and Karens swathed head to toe. I just got back from the grocery store. Everyone had
on a mask, except me. I felt like a pariah. I wanted to stock up on

Just got back from the big box store and the meat section was looking pretty bad. There was no chicken whatsoever, and the only ground beef they had was the pre-packaged stuff in those 5# tubes and I never buy that because it's always being recalled for e-coli. Managed to get some pork chops, a Boston butt, and a couple of chuck roasts.

Original, and perfectly "safe", loading instructions, were to use the thumb - in a sort upside-down "thumbs up" configuration, other fingers curled in - and push straight down on the clip.
The bolt releases only when downward pressure (transferred via the loaded clip) is *released* upwards, i.e., then the thumb is pulling off, up and forward. Even if you're slow doing this, bolt just knocks thumb up and forward a bit, no mashing.
WWII training films show this clearly.
The failsafe blade-of-hand-against-op rod handle method works, but it's not needed, rifle is not designed for it.

From her standpoint, I think she only takes it if she looks like a sure thing - which means that Trump is a sure loser. Don't see how anyone could see that now.
I think Michelle will do what Hillary should have done in 2016. Not run, and just be remembered fondly by a majority of the American public. There is value in just being loved. Regardless of whether it is deserved or merited.

People who are suckling at the FoxNews teat as "contributors" and "hosts" cannot call out their own network when it refuses to use its flagship Sunday chat to question prominent Democrats about credible allegations of forcible rape by the presumptive Democrat nominee. They are, in a word, compromised. That includes Sean, Tucker, Laura, Steve, Ainsley, Brian, and everyone who appears on their shows. It includes Lou Dobbs, it includes Greg and Jesse and Jeanine and Mark. They cannot criticize the producers and editors and executives and "on air" talent even on their own platforms. They can talk about the allegations, they can interview Reade and McHugh and the witnesses, they can question the Dem operatives who appear on their shows, but they cannot call out Neil and Bill and Chris and Shannon and Martha for failing to cover it. Compromised.
