Sydney Powell: FBI Withheld Exculpatory Brady Material In Michael Flynn Case On Orders of...
FBI Director Wray

I assume the Trump presser will start sometime. It's late, as usual. here's the WH link, and here's the Fox link.

Thanks to m.

Do not permit Christopher Wray to return to his desk or computer. Just seize his Blackberry, seize his computer, seize his security badges, escort him out the door, and inform him that his personal effects and personal computer files will be sent to him later -- after they're inspected for evidence.

Heads must roll.

And frankly, Trump needs to stop being a cuck and do the job we elected him to do.

I'm not going to keep defending him if he's going to be a fucking pussy and simp every fucking day.

Federal Bureau of Investigations Director Christopher Wray fought to prevent exculpatory evidence from surfacing in the case of President Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, a source with direct knowledge of the situation tells Daily Caller.

New court documents were filed in Flynn’s case Friday containing the aforementioned exculpatory evidence, commonly referred to as Brady Material. Flynn's attorney, Sidney Powell, announced the new filing on Twitter. She has repeatedly accused the FBI and Justice Department of hiding evidence in the case.

...

"This afternoon, the government produced to Mr. Flynn stunning Brady evidence that proves Mr. Flynn' allegations of having been deliberately set up and framed by corrupt agents at the top of the FBI," Powell wrote in an additional filing. "The government has deliberately suppressed this evidence from the inception of this prosecution--knowing there was no crime by Mr. Flynn."

"Since August 2016 at the latest, partisan FBI and DOJ leaders conspired to destroy Mr. Flynn," she continued. "These documents show in their own handwriting and emails that they intended either to create an offense they could prosecute or at least get him fired."

Powell claimed that more exculpatory evidence in the case will surface in the future.

An FBI official told The Federalist that FBI general counsel Dana Boente was behind the effort to block the release of the Brady Material, yet Daily Caller's source explained Boente was acting in coordination with Wray. ...

Justice Department code clearly dictates that "government disclosure of material exculpatory and impeachment evidence is part of the constitutional guarantee to a fair trial," and the FBI does not reserve the right to withhold exculpatory evidence.

Update from the Daily Caller:

UPDATE 5:40 pm ET: After publication, FBI Assistant Director of Public Affairs delivered the following statement to Daily Caller:

"The assertion that Director Wray pushed to withhold exculpatory evidence in the Michael Flynn case is absolutely false."

Well, the FBI's never lied to the public before, so I believe you without reservation!
Thanks to Irish Ei.

The New York Times reports, meanwhile, that Durham's probe is broader than most had thought, and that Durham is investigating a leak to the Washington Post's David Ignatius that Flynn had violated the laughably-defunct LOGAN ACT.

Who leaked this? Who proposed dusting off this never-enforced, plainly unconstitutional dead letter "law" to open a case on a political rival?

I think it's Sally Yates but time -- and the power the state to coerce testimony -- will tell.

Investigators have also examined the role of John O. Brennan, the C.I.A. director in 2016, in how intelligence agencies assessed Russia's election interference. Though Mr. Trump’s allies have accused Mr. Brennan -- who has made his distaste for the president widely known -- of tainting intelligence to go after Mr. Trump, the Senate Intelligence Committee said this week in a report that it found no evidence that the intelligence community’s assessment on Russian interference had been politicized.

Last year, Mr. Durham also started examining the 2017 column by The Post’s David Ignatius, said a person familiar with that line questioning. Mr. Ignatius revealed that Mr. Flynn had spoken in late 2016 with Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States at the time, as the Obama administration was about to place sanctions on Russia for its election sabotage.

Mr. Ignatius noted Mr. Flynn's close contacts with the Russians and suggested that because Mr. Flynn was apparently conducting foreign policy while another administration was in power, he might have violated the Logan Act. The law is an obscure statute that bars private citizens from interfering with diplomatic relations between the United States and foreign governments and is widely considered to be essentially defunct.

John Brennan needs to have his neck stretched.

Meanwhile, this chubby little piggie is still rooting around for the truffle of a job with CNN:

Texas is weird. They will tell you Dr. Pepper is the state soft drink and they do love it. But they pound prodigious amounts of Coke. It would be interesting to see per capita consumption by state. And then you have Big Red which is the stuff you drink to prove you are a Texan.

I used to work for a Coke bottler. In Texas, other than San Antonio:

Coke, Dr Pepper, Pepsi

San Antonio:

Coke, Dr Pepper, Big Red, Pepsi

We used to get a line of Pepsi trucks at the plant every night to pick up Dr Pepper since we had the license to bottle that.

186 "And frankly, Trump needs to stop being a cuck and do the job we elected him to do.

I'm not going to keep defending him if he's going to be a fucking pussy and simp every fucking day."

Trump has almost completed the transition to standard GOP puke. I still hold out hope we will reclaim his cojones.

As to Wray, particularly, shortly after he was appointed, the corrupt bastard responded to the obvious observation from Trump that the FBI's reputation is in tatters. Wray essentially denied it and claimed the FBI was a sterling institution. He should have been shitcanned that day.

Nonetheless, perhaps Wray can be humiliated even more now and a death blow dealt to his crooked cop racket because this either means we are, officially, a filthy police state or the FBI somehow is an outlier. His entire career needs to be reviewed, every grubby detail revealed, and any in-house DOJ attorney who represents Wray needs to be personally destroyed and disbarred.

Yates deserves worse and needs to be sent to GITMO and tortured before her despicable ass is executed.

225 I think there's a limit to letting things play out.
Flynn gets persecuted to destitution, Wray hangs on through the end of
Trump's term and resigns casually after the 2024 election, and Barr
shakes his head sadly over the troubling outcome of the Flynn case.

Posted by: Blonde Morticia at April 24, 2020 06:07 PM (G51Gf)

Except Flynn was already screwed. That part happened and there was nothing Trump could do to stop it. The damage was done.

So he gets rid of the useless Sessions and brings in Barr and things continue to play out.

Trump knows a lot. He knows what's out there. He has his own timetable.

I know people long for SCREAMING HEADLINES but my bet is that all this stuff will be treated as a "local crime story" when the prosecutions start.

Dems and the media will pretend they never covered it.

David French will still complain that conservatives are racists who hate his adopted child and Goldberg's only sex will be with his couch.

226 Wray was a horrible pick from the get-go, in terms of what the bureau and country needed, at this amazing point in history. Beltway silk-stocking lawyer, legal blueblood all the way.

His (still) astounding short presser following the first (very limp) IG report on the Mega-Scandal ("Mid Year Exam" - Clinton Espionage Act violation festival) was all that anyone with a clue needed to see. You see, morale was fine, and they were getting record #s of applications to their intern program!!

Trump has twice openly signaled his discomfort/dissatisfaction/raging homicidal fury (take your pick) with Wray.

Even if he survives what's coming, he's the wrong guy.

Related, pretty obvious for some time Powell and Flynn (and others) wanted this case to play out, not be short-cut by a pardon, in order to turn the tables on the actual perps. This thing reported today is exactly what they had in mind.

Bill Bryan said inject, talking about injecting something into the disinfection data, specifically UV light.

Trump specifically made a supposition that it would be great if we could do similar things as disinfection of surface, but inside the body, such as UV light (for which there is a currently proposed treatment) and "disinfectants."
Clearly, Trump is not talking about taking household or external use disinfectants and directly injecting these things into the body. But Trump left enough leeway into the supposition about possible future treatments, and the left ran with it, as is tradition.

People need to just get over the fear and get back to work and going out. That's why the anti-bodies test is so important, which Dr Hahn said just now are an important part of opening up. If enough people get verification that they already had it in the past, and people know friends who did and are fine, then hopefully enough fear will dissipate to the point that most people say "fuck it" and live without fear.

359 Makes sense they would need to use the Pepsi trucks to haul more Dr Pepper.

They have to sell Dr Pepper at Pepsi restaurants and in Pepsi vending machines so they had to get it from us.

I am sure you know the story behind the drink. I have always known the story but some say it is more of a legend.

Guy who invented it named it after his girlfriend's dad to score points?

That's true. https://www.drpepper.com/en/faq

368 310 Kitty Cakes, I don't recall you as a poster before, but wow I am simpatico with your comments today!

exactly - people just need SOMETHING to reassure them! the press is desperately trying to keep everyone terrified

in the end, we will all need to free ourselves. and we can't do that while we are afraid!

masks to me - it's one way to make people not as afraid. I have found here in PA that people are much less jumpy in general WITH the masks. so I am ok with wearing one for that reason, I don't really care either way but if it gives people confidence, yay!

they need talismans, something, anything, to dissipate the fear

The Press and the Health Departments are obscuring the facts. Yes, OLD and Infirm people are the ones that usually die, however Most of the Old Peope live!

Over 80% of people over 70 years old survive. If you are under Fifty, you are probably safer getting the Chinese Plague, than the everyday influenza virus, which kills young and old, especially children.

Wuhan Pneumonia is bad for old people, but most of them survive.

369 While growing up in Texas I heard many stories about how Dr Pepper got started.
One was a drug store owner in Waco got stuck with a lot of prune juice. Too much to get rid of. But he got the idea to mix it with soda water and bill it as a healthy drink. People liked the unusual taste and a new soft drink was born.

Mcdonalds has pretty good ketchup too. It is called Fancy Ketchup and is produced by some place that keeps its mouth shut. Mcdonalds long ago refused to pay up for Heinz and they where always enemies. I mean, that is a pretty damn big account to lose. They say some Mcd's use Heinz in Heinz dominated areas such as PA. I have spent quite a bit of time there but forgot which ketchup they had at Mcds.

It's actually just me. Forgot to change my temp anonymous username. I see stuff like mass testing and masks as a "fake because". That is to say, "It's safe to go out again because everyone is wearing a mask, or the mass testing will stop any outbreaks". At the supermarket last night I saw a young woman, ~35 who had full arm length dish gloves on. Made me realize how freaked a good number of people are who really have little reason to be worried for their own sake.

It's a really difficult problem to solve . The problem with bureaucrats is they want to perpetrate and grow the bureaucracy so they're Dems - but if you can them, you have to replace them with qualified people, and that's true even if you cut a lot of positions. Trump has had trouble filling vacancies in his admin due to Dems fighting him tooth and nail, so how he can replace the DOJ, I don't know.

Draining the Swamp is not something that can be done in one term or even two, unless you have dictatorial powers. If Trump were REALLY like Hitler or Stalin, yeah, sure it would be a breeze to overhaul the government in a couple of years and replace them with your people. But he's not a dictator so there are a lot of limitations on what he can do.

The bureaucracy has been built up over a century. It can't be cleared of corruption overnight. I sadly think the only thing that will get rid of it is when it finally collapses of its' own weight.

I'm under no delusions. I've been saying here for 3 years this was not going to go as fast as people want, it's not a movie, and the rot was deep and pervasive and would take some time AFTER Mueller was done to be brought to conclusion. I simply pointed out that high level people can and do go to jail.

516 They took cane sugar out of soft drinks years ago and started using corn syurp to sweeten it. The government keeps cane sugar artificially high in this country to keep farmers happy. But cane sugar is still cheap around the rest of the world. If it's imported here a tariff (tax) is put on it so it still costs more. Cokes made in Mexico still tastes like cokes use to taste here.

517 Case, Pepsi has been selling "Pepsi With Real Sugar" for a couple years now.

And at Easter time, Coke sells its product made with real sugar. Look for the *yellow* caps.

So I wonder if it really is so cost prohibitive for them to make soda with actual sugar anymore.

JackStraw, question for you.

Assuming everything you have told us about how these investigations have panned out, are panning out, and will pan out is true...

What do you think would happen to these investigations/prosecutions if Trump somehow did not get re-elected?

Would they continue? Be modified? Or dropped post haste?

Thanks.

The truth is probably closer to Wray's subordinates told him that they wanted to withhold evidence and continue the Flynn railroad, to which Wray said with a shrug, "Meh".

My guess is that the investigations would be severely neutered or ended, particularly if no indictments are brought before the election. This goes right to the top of the Obama administration, the Clinton campaign, numerous agencies throughout the government, foreign governments and agents and the media.

There are powerful forces looking to stop this investigation at every turn and I think they will win if Trump loses.

I am not trolling or even arguing here, but how is booting CNN to the back of the room not helpful to the cause?

Petty theatrics is the only thing these petty theatrical pieces of shit understand. They have been and will continue to snipe and act out their little conniption fits in the press room. Nothing that President Trump does or says will change that.

Why not needle the petty little fuckers? It costs nothing and gives me a chuckle. If the concern is over decorum, then that train sailed years ago.

Why do you think that is so?

Because jurors will hesitate to convict due to political bias?

Or due to a desire to not shake the political foundations with such a momentous set of convictions?

Lack of will on the part of Barr and the DOJ?

Loyalty to Obama and Hillary by their subordinates?

Or due to being clever enough to keep their fingerprints off of memos and emails that would prove their guilt?

Thanks.

Barr isn't going to send the father of his son's best friend to jail. They go to each others Christmas Holiday parties, and took their kids trick-or-treating together. They would ride together when their kids were having away games in lacrosse. These people are not going to break the bonds of their community because of a bunch of rednecks want justice. The bureaucracy tells us what justice is not the other way around.

Wait and see. There may be hope. I recently caught a load of shit for tossing out--with prejudice--a quarter-century friendship on principle with spouses and offspring relationships involved.

People change. As disgusting as the idea of "Year Zero" is, twisting yourself into pretzels to impute ideals from decades back into somebody who has repeatedly demonstrated that he clearly abandoned them is a bigger tragedy.

I am lucky that my home life is solid, but I think the sentiment I described is just another day at work for the average divorce attorney.

If Barr manages to let Comey go, then I owe you a coke.
