I lived in a really pit once and I got the idea I would go after the cockroaches never imagining what would happen.

No it hasn't. Nothing was going to happen until Mueller was done. They had to let the investigation play out so Trump wouldn't be accused of obstruction.
The #TwoWeeks thing has been going on by some for 2 years but it was never realistic.
Look at these idiots. They are trying to impeach Trump for legally doing his job. There is literally no hint of a crime let alone a crime. And Horowitz started before Mueller and has been sending the DOJ referrals.

What am I missing? This renders the entire process a farcical gossip festival. In any context, or agency. Especially amusing is that complainants still have to sign a penalty-of-perjury affirmation about what they claim - meaning, now, that they *really did hear the gossip they're passing on, but about which they have no direct knowledge*. Like I said, a farce.
Giving a "tip" to an IG or general counsel could obviously involve hearsay - but a formal complaint? Ridiculous, and obviously so.
BTW, in many napoleonic justice systems, hearsay is not excluded, as in ours, because the judge/panel of judges is not a lay jury, and is expected to weigh/filter all evidence per their judgement and knowledge. Basically few rules of evidence in those systems, whereas such rules dominate our courts, with lay juries in charge.

Just spitballing but I'd think the athletic gear people would steer clear of queering the revenue stream they already have with the Cartel. I'm guessing the USC QB would go along with the team unis on the field but make money on unis and tee shirts with his image off the field.

I agree with you both. Sessions actually believed the system would work using normal channels and learned the hard way he had been compromised by his deferral to process. Could have saved a lot of blood and treasure had we held every Saudi national in camps and frozen every Saudi asset. Then we let the Saudis know that they get everyone back once the entire bin Laden clan is executed, all money sent to mosques in the US is stopped, and bin Laden is dead. They refuse, then all of their oil shipments are blocked. They wait too long, then we start executing family members of the royal family.

Absolutely agree. That early naivete, which manifested in the announcement Hillary would not be pursued for her crimes, for example, evaporated the moment Trump knew he had been wiretapped. We all have it, to some extent. Yesterday I agreed with a post from CBD about the need not to be in lockstep with Trump, largely because that's how I once thought and things should be. Afterwards, I changed my mind when the existential nature of this fight was recalled. No shooting to the Right or even the center now.

Giuliani was never a great speaker. I remember him during the 2008 primaries (I think). I was interested in him for about five minutes, then I listened to him and I thought, Dude will never make it. Sounds like his mind is in 50 different places and he can't organize his thoughts.
