New Poll: Biden Falling Like Brain-Damaged Rock, Now In Three-Way Tie for Lead
This kind of sucks. I was hoping he wouldn't fall like this until after he secured the nomination.
Joe Biden's support in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is slipping, according to a new survey from Monmouth University Poll that shows the former vice president dropping below 20 percent. The survey showed Biden with support from 19 percent of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters nationally, a double-digit decline from Monmouth's most recent poll in June when he led the pack with 32 percent.
Now, the dynamics have changed, according to the Monmouth survey. Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), the primary field's top progressive candidates, are each at 20 percent, putting them in a statistical tie with Biden and indicating a tightening three-way race.

I have been saying for a little while now that the polls for the Dems look just like they did in April. This Monmouth poll is not the first to show a 3 way tie, it is the second, which is probably why it is news.
The debates did not do this - so I think it is the gaffes. Dems see that he is old and perhaps feeble, and they remember oh man I never really liked him anyway.
The problem for the Dems remains that Bernie and Warren are running in the same lane. Bernie won't quit, and he raises a lot more money than she does.

The first primaries and caucuses are still a ways out and others probably will drop out before then. And they have plenty of time to figure out how to have things set to give them the outcome they want.

Then he decided that he didn't.
Why would a progressive vote for him? Yeah, he now doesn't support the Hyde Amendment, but it took him forever and you've got Warren there instead. Why would a moderate support him? He's turned his back on a decades long position.
No one was paying attention at the time, so it didn't really affect his polling, but it established the pattern of his campaign. And it's just gotten worse.

Nancy Palsi has done two things really well. She kept the Democrat Representatives in line for a long time and she recognized the political direction her radical voters took.
There are a TON of Democrat voters who have no idea how radical their party has become. I'd say at least half still think they're the blue collar party of FDR and have no idea all of the SJW nuts have yanked the party so far leftward.

Master cylinder would be my guess. Slave cylinder's are drum brakes, so what are you driving? However, the issue would be more consistent if there were a leaky line, expanding rubber line or slave cylinder.
I've had it were a vacuum assist issue would hold the peddle down when pressing the brake down, so that may be a place to look as well.

Is it possible pollsters are taking money to produce a good poll. To keep from making it too obvious, the person conducting the poll can perhaps cutoff a sample when the numbers are right, or perhaps downweight or eliminate certain groups that are more likely to not support the preferred candidate.
If you were trying to get Williamson to 2%, wouldn't the people who are eliminated from the sample be more likely to be Biden supporters?

I think in a free election, Williams or Yang would get the nod. I am not sure Harris would, since she has some baggage.

I have a number of friends that would be considered tradional Democrats. They work all day and don't watch much news, except the top of the hour stuff on radio, or a few minutes of a nightly news broadcast, or a perusing of the Seattle Times.
I talk with them, repeating the Leftie Democrat talking points, and they think I am making it all up.
I spent 10 minutes last week talking about the Google search information control that protected Hillary, and he wouldn't believe me.
Told him to check it out himself, type "Hillary Clinton crim" and get no suggestions, then the same with "Trump crim" gets all kinds of negative responses. Now do the same thing on the other search engines, and "Hillary Clinton crim" gets massive responses.
Yet the 88% of searches that Google controls, nobody is the wiser.
His response was, "then there weren't any articles that met that criteria".
I sighed. This guy works 60-80 hours a week as a contractor. He is the classic American that is being purposely misled.

They've used up their credibility. It's at zero. It's the vote fraud that deeply worries me...for the reasons you've already stated. They won't be caught flat-footed again. As I have noted ad nauseam, the election integrity in most of this country [by population/voter #] would not meet our, EU, or UN standards for recognizing foreign elections in "new" democracies [countries typically emerging from civil conflicts, holding referenda, etc].
One of the key benefits of the electoral college - diluting the impact of fraud or incompetence in particular regions, and complicating a coordinated version of same.
NH was like stolen from Trump in '16 - in a crude, obvious fashion [large #s of fraudulent same-day registrant votes]. Didn't matter. Trump is likely to have a comfortable margin this round, but the problem remains.

blaster, your "ballooning" theory fits the symptoms fine, but unless it is a classic vehicle, I don't think brake lines do that anymore. They have another material in the lining. I also don't think the fluid could be boiling, which it used to do all the time.
I have had a vacuum power booster fail and create this 'scenario,' but that was on an older car and I severely wonder whether that can even happen now. On that one, they would pump up after a frantic moment or two.
Back before two-chamber master cylinders, if the one cylinder failed, you had no brakes at all. Starting in the early 60's, they piped hydraulics differently, and you could lose one wheel if the hose or slave failed, or two wheels if one circuit failed. Almost nothing makes all brakes fail. Interesting issue; I would say that the skill issue has been proven, and the car does not need to be operated in traffic without brakes any further.

So it is a far taller task to get rid of the EC than it is to 1) override a presidential veto, 2) winning the EC. Overriding a veto doesn't need any input from the states, winning the EC doesn't need a supermajority in Congress.

The government agencies responsible for voting roll integrity completely ignore it when a non-citizen registers to vote. And after a quarter century, there are hundreds of thousands, or millions of non-citizens that vote in Federal elections.
Only a US citizen, by birth or by a federal court declaring a person to be a US citizen, can register to vote.
