I've been saying all along that Trump can appeal to Sanders voters, and I think he's really making a play for them. I approve of that strategy.
This could turn out to be a major realignment election. People all over the political spectrum are sick of politics as usual and endemic corruption. Both Trump and Sanders have run as outsiders and got huge support from broad segments of society.
Whatever you think of Sanders, and I'm no fan of socialism, I don't think he's ever been accused of being a crook.

When the time came that the convention was approaching and the primary threat was that his delegates might be stolen through party machinations, he put an old school party in-fighter in place to defend his delegates and navigate the party rules.
Now that the biggest threat is the media, with even the Roger Ailes-less Fox News joining a united front that refuses to report anything positive about his messaging or his campaigning, he brings on someone skilled in disrupting and busting through the mainstream media as well as a top pollster to try to deal with the polling narrative pushed by the MSM polls to try to discourage Trump supporters and potential supporters.

My dad and I are trying to research his ancestry. We've been able to go back three generations and then the trail ends. He was thinking about doing a DNA test done, but I'm not sure if that will help or not?
We've been talking about the Y-chromosome DNA test, since that is the one that traces your paternal lineage.

I've read about it, and as an adoptee I'm very curious about my ancestry. But I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I'm paranoid about it. Considering what Google and Facebook do with personal data, I'm not all that keen to put my DNA into a database. And would any relative I've never met be able to contact me?

One of my ancestors, out of Baltimore, was married to Jerome Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon. No shit. Her father totally disapproved.
They had a child, and then Napoleon ordered his brother back to France and they were divorced.
While married to Jerome, they were quite the party couple, and he encouraged her to wear really revealing clothing and she got something of a "reputation."
Anyhow, she died alone (disowned by her father) and crazy.
She's buried in a Baltimore cemetery.

Merlin told a story of repeatedly looking at a picture of his grandfather, a studio portrait taken in the 1880's. This is when Merlin was single and living in a London apartment and the picture was in a biography of OW. There was something about the picture that fascinated him, but he didn't quite know what it was - until he took a good look at the unusual wall paneling behind Oscar and compared it to the walls of the living room he was sitting in. They looked identical. He did research into where the picture was taken and found out that his apartment building had been a fashionable photographer's studio in the 1880's - and it was indeed where OW had had that picture taken.

Oh, God, the memories. For me, it was middle school. There was some fat kid we called "Grossburger" (that was some character in a Richard Pryor movie, IIRC) that I had to wrassle with.
I can still remember the smell. The fucker sat on me and that ass smell still haunts me.
We all complained to "coach" (God, I despised most of those "coach" characters) to tell that kid to clean up.
