Gawker: Gleep! We Have A Mole Inside FoxNews and We Plan On Releasing Weekly Columns From Her, Tracking the Daily Decisions At FoxNews!!!
FoxNews: We Found The Mole

As Mediobistro's headline put it, Gawker's FoxNews Mole Reveals... Nothing.

One big revelation was something everyone knew or could know if they chose to -- that FoxNews had run some kind of headline about rappers at the White House on FoxNation.

The other big reveal was that Sean Hannity did a two-part interview with Mitt Romney, to be broadcast over two nights, and to suggest the interview was actually being done over two nights (rather than one, as it was), he wanted Romney to change his tie for the second part. Romney declined to wear the pink tie, saying something like "I'm not going to go all Donald Trump." Or something.

A second blockbuster installment reveals that FoxNews' computers are old, their bathrooms aren't nice (or are they? the "mole" is confusing on this key point) and that Bill O'Reilly does in fact use the bathrooms that everyone else does.

Also, the mole is actually so highly placed as to bring back top-secret intel like this:

The lobby isn't too shabby. It's mostly bland and marble, with the usual pieces of inoffensive corporate art. Not so usual, however, are the 25-foot-tall murals featuring a rotating cast of on-air personalities. Up until a couple months ago it was Fox News prime time people plastered up there. Currently it's Fox Business personalities, the grim swollen visages of Neil Cavuto and Lou Dobbs grinning at you, North Korea-style, insisting that all is well at the ratings-challenged business network.

Wow, you saw the lobby?

So, as you can see, this mole was super-connected and was involved in all sorts of editorial decision making light clerical decision-making.

Well, the mole -- who explained that she (I think it's a she-- men don't care about bathrooms*) can't find another job -- is about to lose the only job she can get.

“We found the person and we’re exploring legal options at this time.”

I suppose Gawker will hire her part-time to deliver Memories of FoxNews. Because it would look pretty bad if their source got canned and then they stood by.

* I suppose a guy who was trying to offer big insider secrets about FoxNews, but who didn't have any big insider secrets, might write about bathrooms, just because he had nothing else.

But the picture of toilet paper draped over the gap between stall and wall, for privacy's sake, reads "chick" to me.

Over at BigPeace, Shapiro points out another Israeli leak by Dictator Obama:

"The leaks continue from the Obama administration with regard to Israeli defense secrets. On Sunday, the New Yorker
printed a report stating that US had worked with the Iranian opposition
group Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK). The US was apparently receiving
intelligence from the group, including intercepted cell phone calls and
text messages. But sources also confirmed that Mossad was helping to
funnel resources and train members of the MEK"

Sounds like we would "Myers Briggs" buddies. People without perceptiveness and intuitiveness always think I work some kind of magic, when everyone in the room says one thing and I say another and end up right. Its not magic, I just measure things my own bias doesn't distort and that other people don't think to hide.

For instance what someone says in a conversation mostly meaningless. All those words were chosen. What was subconsciously chosen? Their assumed premises, blindspots, and assumptions. Those speak untold volumes. Once you learned what caused those you can predict future behavior.

Just yesterday, I accidentally went to "the 8th floor" in the elevator. Imagine, if you will, an entire level of the Massive Ailes Empire, filled with row after row of occupied desks, as far as the eye could see. At each desk sat a person, busily ciphering away at a computer, occassionally writing on paper, and in some sort of sick Pavlovian act, picking up and speaking into an inanimate hunk of plastic on their desk whenever a tiny bell inside would sound.

I could hardly tear my eyes away from the scene of these brainwashed, shackled thousands to quickly read the sign on the wall at the entrance.
RESEARCH DEPARTMENT

What does it mean? For now, I still do not know. One of them looked up at me and I quickly fumbled for the elevator button. The door opened, and I slipped in silently, between Doocy Sr. and Doocy Jr.

Rest assured, I will go back to this hall of horrors and get to the bottom of this mysterious finding.

This whole thing depends on whether Z was in fact assaulted and injured by Martin. How the fuck do they plan to prove anything if Z's nose is broken and he has lacerations on his head? Couple that with eyewitnesses, the voice stress test Z took that night and I don't see how they have any murder-2 or manslaughter case.

The police have already said that he wasn't obliged to follow the call takers orders. And from the sound of the 911 call, he had stopped following him and was returning to his car to meet the police.

331 How the fuck do they plan to prove anything if Z's
nose is broken and he has lacerations on his head? Couple that with
eyewitnesses, the voice stress test Z took that night and I don't see
how they have any murder-2 or manslaughter case.Posted by: Hedgehog

The witnesses did not see the actual shooting, though. If they were motivated to shape the prosecution they could set about making it appear that Z was only injured by M after M was shot,IE his final actions were to fall on top of Z, knocking him down and causing the injuries.

IIRC, the dispatcher said something like "We don't need you to do that" which isnot exactly an order.

Posted by: Insomniac at April 11, 2012 02:28 PM (v+QvA)

335 >>> I think Zimmerman's problems are going to arise from failing to follow

the orders of the officer on the phone to not follow Martin.

Not only is this legally incorrect, inasmuch as no one is obligated to follow the instructions of police dispatchers, but it's also factually incorrect for two reasons -- (1) the dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that" (not an actual "order"), and (2) the gunshot was fired about 2 minutes AFTER the dispatcher said these words, but Zimmerman had only traveled about 10 feet at that time.

Walking 10 feet in 2 minutes shows that he did, in fact, stop following Martin after the police dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that."

Sorry for the little girl, but I don't see how "we" are or should be responsible for the crap that goes on every day in the ME. I'm just trying to think of where the hell they can find an angle.

He had a right to carry a gun.
He had a right to defend himself when attacked.
He had a right to identify a potential threat to his neighborhood.
He called police when he suspected something was amiss.

I'm just trying to figure out from which angle the prosecutor will pursue charges.

And polls continue to show it has little popular support either. For
example, a poll just conducted for IBD by TechnoMetrica Market
Intelligence found that only 22% said they wanted the justices to uphold
the entire law, while 37% said strike down the whole thing and 30% said
to strike down only the law’s individual mandate to buy health
insurance. Another 10% were unsure.

Strikingly, the same poll found that while 39% of Democrats wanted
the law upheld, 38% wanted the mandate struck down and another 12%
wanted the whole thing thrown out. In other words, 50% want part or all
of the law tossed. Even taking into account that some of those may be
liberals who dislike ObamaCare because it isn’t more expansive, it’s a
striking rejection of the president’s main accomplishment by his own
party.
Among independents, the numbers are even worse for the
president: 40% want the whole law repealed, 33% want the mandate
overturned and only 18% want the whole thing upheld. Unsurprisingly,
Republicans hate it even more: 66% want the whole thing thrown out, 19%
want just the mandate gone and only 10% want it all upheld. That’s based
on a poll of 906 people, conducted from March 30 to April 5.
So,
in other words, if the Supreme Court does throw out part or all of
ObamaCare, it’s a pretty sure bet that the American people will not be
rising up in outrage.

360 We had some crap art from a guy named Kandinsky. I hated it. Just shit.
Posted by: Jimbo at April 11, 2012 02:23 PM (O3R/2)

Feel free to hate anything by Wassily Kandinsky, one of the great pioneers of non-representational art, but because you hate it does not mean his work is shit. Did you know, for example, that Kandinsky had an extremely rare sensory condition called synaesthesia, the capacity to see sound and hear colour? Kandinsky essentially experienced color through two of his senses--sight and hearing--simultaneously. Experiencing his art from Kandinsky's perspective, each of his paintings is a full-bore color orchestra. Appreciating him fully takes a little work, but it's worth it. Give it a chance.

Personally, I like art that forces me to get actively engaged with it, that challenges me intellectually and aesthetically, but that's me. The late Thomas Kincaid made paintings that made me feel like Rick Santorum after JFK's church-and-state separation speech, but I could understand Kincaid's appeal and don't feel superior or smug about despising his paintings like the chancre sore on the face of nature that they are.
