Shock: Obama Again Disables Address Verification on Credit Card Donations

Pass a law out of the House, now.

Yes, this sonofabitch will veto it. At least make him explain why he's determined to rake in illegal foreign money.

So they're down on fundraising and they've decided to open the election open to the World's Voters, eh?

He doesn't seem to check into the upstandingness of his "bundlers," either (who can just be a conduit for illegal contributions, of course).

You Had Your Chance, America, And You Blew It

Now I'm taking this to the tribunal that matters -- the Global Community.

And speaking of his "bundlers" (which always brings up the image of Obama in bed with someone wrapped up in a quilt), one of his BFF's is John Morgan of Morgan and Morgan: "For the people (registered thingy).

The same idiot that the two old people hired to sue Spike Lee for tweeting their address. Sweet, sweet irony that was.

I'd really like to know who their merchant service provider is, and find out why they're willing to allow the Obama campaign so much leeway with their transactions.

A real dirty trick would be to submit a bunch of orders and file fraud charge backs. If they get above about a certain % of total transactions while they aren't using CVV/AVS, they can be put on probation and even lose their merchant account. Which all depends on the merchant bank, which is another reason I'd be interested to know who they've got.

112 The naivete of conservative bloggers and blogs at times can be breathtaking in scope. There's not law that could be passed by the House that would proscibe this. There's no such law that possibly could get through Harry Reid's Senate. Ergo no veto and no veto message. There's no way that any such law would be Constitutional. 1st Amendment, anyone? There's a difference between foreign campaign contributions and foreign bribes. There's no way in which any such law, even if Kosher, could be passed before the election. There's no enforcement mechanism that could be brought to bear. Are bloggers literally retarded? What exactly do they do for a living? What is their educational background? It boggles the mind. In any event, this is what happens when conservatives stay home and don't vote and thereby elect hard core leftists to major political offices. This time around get your head out of your ass and vote for Obama's opponent.

113 There was a time where a deliberate appeal to the international community would have been unthinkable in an American Presidential campaign.

And yet polls show the one cruising to reelection. We are so done. There is not enough heart left in the nation to resist this at the political level. Nothing is left to do but for the conservatives to draw the inevitable lines in the sand, and the bloodshed of loving compliance to be inflicted upon us; A national schism following the death of Federalism and the Contitutional Republic.

200 190 How much is Soros money. Batch load a bunch of credit cards #'s with an amount just under the limit for reporting. (I think it's arounf $200.) And dump them in after you make a big plea for a moneybomb to make it look like a bunch of the "little people" donated.

I have been bitching about this since 2008. I do NOT understand why I can see what is happening and all of the people in DC do not. (On our side, I mean.)

They are going to use every crooked method possible in every state in order to win. I will write to someone in the RNC and the campaigns, but I am afraid my little letter will get ignored. I will point this out on Twitter, however.

It's not only 'foreign' money that we have to worry about. Without a security verification the Obama campaign could process donations using STOLEN credit card info.

I can assure you that that did indeed happen in 2008. Both my boss' and his wife's credit cards were charged for small donations to Obama (about $15-20). There is no way in hell that either of them would have willingly contributed to him.

The Address Verification System (AVS) is required by the Processing Card Industry(PCI) specification.Themerchant always receives the AVS response; it cannot be turned off. The merchant can, however, chooseto ignore the response. For example, AVS=A means the street address matches but not the zip. AVS=Y means both address and zip match. AVS=U means the card has no address available (e.g., an anonymous prepaid debit card). AVS=G means the card was issued by a foreign bank. The Obama campaign receives all this info; they just choose to ignore it.

203 If you catch it within 30 days write a letter (not e-mail) to the bank that issued the card and report that you did not authorize the transaction. The bank will issue a chargeback to the Obama campaign's merchant account. A chargeback costs themerchanta minimum of $20 each, plus processing fees. If the chargeback rate goes too high then Visa/MC wallops the merchant with extra penalties.

The DCCC doesn't have the security feature.
The DNC doesn't have the security feature.
The Kennedy Institute doesn't have the security feature.
The It Gets Better Project doesn't have the security feature.

Noticing a trend? Check the web services host. They are all run using Blue State Digital. Blue State Digital is a big fundraising/activism services host for Democrats, unions, and other Left-leaning philanthropy PACs. They offer collecting, tracking, templating, coordinating, etc. in their web APIs. The NAACP, however, is an exception. They included the security feature. IOW multiple activist and fund-raising entities use Blue State Digital and disable the feature.

Yeah, GOP, maybe you should do something about this... if it's not too much of a bother.

208 Issa may be busy but what's another hearing?

Ask them point blank, under oath!, if they actively dissabled security features that would block foreign dollars from supporting and influencing their campaigns.

210 I never thought I could find a person to be as nasty as Jimmy Carter and as repulsive as Bill Clinton, but Obama sure showed me how easy it was.

Four years our politicians have had a chance to fix this. They didn't.
The Republican party is probably a lost cause.

213 Maybe the House could defund the FEC, since they can't be bothered to, you know, enforce the election laws.

214 I searched the FEC complaints database for 2008 but could not find any complaints related to AVS.Apparently anybody can file a complaint. You canbrowse the FEC database yourself at http://tinyurl.com/3ohwu5e

Please give me something more to go on other than New World Order or Soros.
