Again: Democrat Official Demands People Stay Home and Alone for Christmas, Then Announces She's Travelling to See "Close Family"

Um, if you have to drive on a highway for hours, they're not close family.

They may be family, but they're not family you're in day-to-day contact with, and hence you may infect them, or vice versa.

But she says she knows them -- she knows her family?! -- and therefore The Science (TM) says it's all right.

Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio participated in a virtual press conference in which she discussed coronavirus restrictions. She stated that despite her adominishing North Carollina residents to "stay home and only be around those who you live with" during Christmas, she would be "traveling by car to Durham, North Carolina to see some close family, small group."

Reporters on the call were struck by Diorio’s admission of brazen hypocrisy and expressed confusion about her remarks.

"I was confused a little bit by Dena's answer going to see her family in Durham," said WBT’s Brett Jensen. "Isn't that what we’re not supposed to be doing, by spending only time with people that we actually live with?"

The county manager defended her hypocrisy, arguing that hers is a special situation that should allow her to refuse to follow her own advice. “I know who the family is, I know where they spend their time, so I feel comfortable making that trip,” she insisted. "I've two people in a household, it's not a group. It's a very small number of people and I feel very confident about their safety."

I don't care what your Christmas Throuple Sex Plans are, whore. Stay home with your vibrator "Andrew" (TM).

Jensen pressed, asking if Diorio feels that everyone should be able to use their own discretion when making plans for Christmas. "I'm making a personal decision based on information that I have, and so that’s the decision that I've made and I think everybody needs to do the same," she replied.

Earlier this week, supposed Catholic Nancy Pelosi, who claims to be all about "The Word," says that religious people don't believe in The Science (TM).

Well Godless communist Democrats don't seem to believe in the crap they're saying, so why should anyone else?

You don't believe in science!!, they shriek "Which science are we talking about? What was said eight months ago, three months ago or now? Which scientist/doctor are you recommending? Are you aware that the CDC has changed their opinion several times?" Then they shriek some more. I have gotten to the point that I don't even read the replies of the leftist on the community chat boards anymore.

The ludicrousness of wearing masks can best be depicted by watching Bill Barr's recent news conference.

He walked into the room wearing a mask, stepped up to the podium, took off his mask, used his bare hand to wipe the accumulated moisture from his mouth and nose....

and then proceeded to touch the podium, the microphone and everything on the podium, then he put his mask back on as he left the podium.

I mean, what is left to say that wasn't said 10 months ago.

I drop a rock. It follows Newtonian dynamics (yes, yes an approximation of relativity) whether I "believe" in the science or not.

And this is true of all actual science, and is the beauty of science. It doesn't care what you think, it does what it does.

Despair is typically characterized as the 'unforgivable sin', but that meaning is rather specific. The 7 deadlies are actually vices(strong inclinations towards sin) rather than specific acts. 600 char limit so can't go too much into things.

By despair, man ceases to hope for his personal salvation from God, for help in attaining it or for the forgiveness of his sins. Despair is contrary to God's goodness, to his justice - for the Lord is faithful to his promises - and to his mercy.
It is basically giving up on God and/or
not believing in His promises.

If this were all true, why spend this much air time wringing your hands? The Press and Dem really have no real idea what goes on with Trump - but they do drink a lot at the Capitol Hill bar and grill together - so sources say!

Basically the question is kind of theoretical. Mortal sin requires intent, killing someone on accident for instance wouldn't qualify generally. It's reasonably logical to assert that suicides would present the issue of no time period in which to repent(though this isn't true in all cases) while also being a mortal sin. Ergo Hell. Harder to divine their state of mind.

Feel better, try an epson salt hot soak, with some decaf tea and a slice of fresh cut lemon. That generally does my sore muscles good.

Well, dear brother (?) Braenyard, you can probably find prayers for battle by military chaplains on the internet. I know more about spiritual battles. I think all of this is spiritual battle as well as a carnal one. Here is some reflection on Battle and on putting on the full armor of God:

Yep. We acknowledge bad things can and do and will happen. It's what comes next that matters. Now what? What will I do with this? Despair is an abandonment of one's faith. Being sad or mad or discouraged is just a step along the way. What WILL you do next? That's what matters.

347 I think Chi-town may have confused CFR for IFR; the first is a somewhat firm number but merely gives the ratio of patients under treatment for X that die of X, while the latter is a ratio of those dying of X to an estimate of how many people, total, were infected by X in the population. 80+ CFR is of course the highest (as it is for all things tracked this way), but not sure of the number. After months of assiduous study and following each development, gave up a while ago, as it's clear science is politicized beyond hope and the populace is dumbed down and compliant.

361 Saying that Republicans (writ large for religious people) are faith-based and therefore don't believe in science is: 1) an indictment of most of black America; and 2) utterly stupid because the supposed party of business and war would have gone extinct at the dawn of the industrial revolution if it didn't believe in science. You can't have modern business profits and next-gen weaponry without science. Seriously, Nancy, you're a one horse pony.

She forgets that God sometimes allows the wrong-doers to prosper in this life, always giving them the opportunity to repent. Die unrepentant, an ... unpleasant ... destination awaits.
