I guess the good news is that truly existential crises such as the left is currently fomenting are immensely clarifying in terms of what is, really, important.

I mean, if the shit has truly hits the fan, and I'm in a starving group of people and I say, "ladies and gentlemen I don't know where the next meal is coming from". Well if some idiot's response is "I identify as...", I'm finishing their sentence with "dinner".

Now before you all get outraged over such a thing I want you to remember we are animals, and probably no more than 3 days of missed meals from seriously contemplating cannibalism.

Or, if you are my, er, corpulent best friend, "3 days? Krak, if I'm on an elevator and the power flickers, I'm already checking out who my next snack is."

I guess there are two morals to this story:

1. Never foment revolutions when the other side has all the guns.

2. Never get on an elevator with a fat man in a rubber clown costume who has the words "Hot Pockets" stenciled on his tiny little clown suitcase.

1 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, October 12, 2019. On this day in 1492 Christopher Columbus made his first landfall in the Americas at what would later become the Bahama islands. That day will be celebrated Monday in most locations as Columbus Day. In other locations it has been stricken from the calendar by the ravaging America hate SJWs.

18 And finally the reason my links to Amazon no longer work has showed up today. When I used the Amazon choice from start menu I got a message from Amazon. They have a new 'app' for getting to Amazon for Windows 10. You can not put it on your tool bar. You either have it in you start menu or in your task bar. I haven't figured out how to even put a short cut on the Desk Top. And because it is a stand-alone app you can not save windows shortcuts to the products you want to save links for your next order. I think I will continue signing in using the 'Bing' address where all Windows 10 stuff works.

Which speaks to the need to go to a complete spoils system in the executive branch, when a new administration comes in, everyone from the last administration is swept out and replaced with people loyal to the new administration.

Yeah, it is. And the reason the Dems are insisting on anonymity makes me think of two reasons. One, the person is so biased and or connected, as to expose it as a political hit job. Or, two, they are trying to bate the President into some type of action to expose or threaten the "whistleblower" so the dems can then accuse him off witness intimidation. White House most certainly has figured out the identity, but don't want to be seen as the ones putting them (I believe).

If you read the indictment what becomes crystal clear is this is just another op being orchestrated by the Deep State, CIA, State, DOJ and outside actors.

First of all Rudy Giulianis name does not appear anywhere in the
indictment, so how is it that the media had the Giuliani connection and
pictures of these guys with him and Trump rolling out before the
indictments were even announced?

Second, the complaints about these guys were made by a "watchdog" group
in 2018, so you're telling me these guys couldn't have been charged 6
months ago?

3rd, you can tell this was completely stage crafted by the arrests
being executed right after these guys met with Giuliani at a Trump
hotel.

They could have been arrested at anytime between 2018 and yesterday
but they executed to inflict maximum damage to the President and to
de-legitimaize the investigation into the Biden's

All of this lawlessness emanation from the CIA/DOJ, Media and other outposts of the Deep State is increasingly becoming and existential threat to the Unites States.

It must be stopped.

52 Was reading some of the comments over at Insty's site about the Elizabeth Warren clip (where she tells a guy who asks about traditional marriage that he's basically a loser who can't find a woman).

There were a couple of people commenting who said that they had relatives (one was a brother, another a brother-in-law) who'd had to have reconstructive surgery, due to all the homo sex they'd been having. The one talking about his brother said the guy had to have his lower intestines re-sected and wear a colostomy bag for 6 months.

Made me wonder if there are any stats on how often that kind of surgery happens. After all, the human rectum is not designed for sex, and all that pounding and thrusting is inevitably going to do damage.

But that's the kind of stuff the kids never hear about in school, when the drag queens show up to read them stories about how wonderful it is when two men are screwing each other.

lol, sorry but it just made me curious -- not about the sex, but about how often the sex results in homo men needing surgery to reconstruct their back end.

It's the stuff that the media and the public schools never mention when they're indoctrinating the public about how wonderful and "normal" gay sex is. Kind of like how they never tell people that 40% of "trans" people end up killing themselves because they're so miserable, even after the surgery that's supposed to "cure" them.

Given that the area is not designed for having things inserted and thrusting into it, it does seem like a bad idea to be doing that on a regular basis. When tissue tears, then fecal matter can get into it and cause infections (which I assume is what happened to the guy who needed part of his lower intestines removed) and pretty soon you're looking at serious, potentially life-threatening health issues.

But this is the kind of stuff that never gets mentioned when our "betters" are extolling the virtues of gay sex.

A member of Congress participating in an Antifa - a domestic terror group's - protest, that turned violent.

94 RE: left's drive to civil war...

It's anti-logical to think that people driven by emotion will also use reason. They are acting out because hitherto that's worked for them.

The thought that turnabout will happen, or that they will hit a hard stop literally isn't in their brain.

Because history is no longer taught, they have no idea what happened in similar circumstances. Those of us who know this stuff, know that there is never a correction to the center, but an overcorrection before things settle down.

I suggest that the pessimists who can't shut up about how awful things are, no one will be punished, etc. just quiet down and enjoy the ride.

Because a correction is coming, the only question is how extreme it's going to be.

96 "I wonder if were going to invade the neighboring town and capture, enslave, kill and or eat them in celebration?"

Lewis, of Lewis and Clark fame, describes a spectacle he witnessed in about 1804 during their expedition. Game was extremely scarce at times depending on location. His hunters were sucessful one morning, and when word came back, he said some of the Indians took off at a full run to the place where they were field dressing an Elk or Deer. They were fighting over the entrails, or specifically the raw contents of the intestines. One person on each end squeezing the contents out, excess running down their chins, in a contest to see who could eat the most. They was hungry!

Curious as well.

Burns followed Bruce Catton's narrative, used a lot of his sources and story devices and was very sympathetic to the South.

Race was involved because race was involved. Bigly.

I watched it straight through last year and it's still excellent. Very moving.

Also a little sad because you can't imagine prominent figures saying nice things about Confederates any more.

_______________

I sorta get why the media won't report on Omar being married to her own brother. Because of the shitty record-keeping in Somalia, and because of the Somalians' habit of lying about everything under the sun, it's impossible to prove, without a DNA test, that Elmi is her brother.

But the thing I don't understand is this: Elmi is obviously gay. One look at his social media posts and there's no doubt about that. So that's a fact the media can confirm. Which would lead to the next question: why did Omar, who had a husband (if only married under islamic law, he was still her husband and the father of her children) decide to marry an obviously gay man, and then move him into the small apartment that she and her husband were living in?

If Omar was a white Republican woman, and she'd married an obviously gay man and moved him into the home she shared with her husband, and the three of them lived together for years, would the media just ignore that? We all know they wouldn't.

There's just no innocent explanation for what Omar did. She entered into a fraudulent marriage with her own brother so that he could enter the U.S. from the U.K. and attend college here. It was immigration fraud, and pretty damn obvious immigration fraud, and the media simply ignores it, because she's muslim.

The other thing is this: she has committed other crimes that could easily be reported on without getting directly into the brother stuff, including:

-- Tax fraud: she filed joint taxes for years with her 1st (?) unofficial husband while she was legally married to Elmi
-- Campaign violations: she used campaign funds to pay her personal lawyer to get a divorce from Elmi
-- Perjury: SHe lied 9 times on the paperwork related to her divorce, such as claiming she had no contact with Elmi since 2011 when her and her sister's social media had pictures of them together years after that
-- More possible campaign violations: She paid her lover a monthly lump sum for campaign consultation services ($12k? iirc) with no supporting detail, and these were services after she was elected; it was when they were traveling around a lot
-- In June she got her legal husband fired; he worked for a MN politician and Omar asked her to fire him.

These are facts, not conspiracy theories. The "theory" part comes in as to why she did these things, but could easily be cleared up if the press wanted to by simply asking Omar why she did these things.

I mentioned this yesterday - I think a lot of what's going on with him has to do with his wife, who was in with the Bushies.

A GOP restoration would have brought her even closer into the circles of power and of course he'd benefit as well as NR would be the place where new policies were test-marketed.

Failing to get Jeb! or someone like him the nomination, the fallback was to mark time attacking the Clintons, and Jonah would be able to recycle all his 90s material while the magazine miked its contributors. The Mrs. would be able to lawyer against regulations, etc. and good times would be there.

Instead, they got the worst possible result: GOP administration that they are locked out of. And the drought looks to be a long one because if Trump gets a second term, more swampland will be drained and permanent shifts will have taken place in the body politic.

Once those factories are built and staffed, all the Chinese money in the world isn't going to be able to bribe senators into closing them down. Trump knows this which is why his economics team is kicking ass. That's where he put his pros. The political side is a distraction to actual structural changes.

To gain blue-collar votes, Trump understands the GOP first has to make more of them. He's doing that and could make the Rust Belt not only less rusty but reliably GOP for a generation. Transformative, they call it.

I do think it's telling that she's older than him and never took his name.

254 I loved the pics of the Little Leaguers with PDT on AF1, looking out the windows and having a good time. Trump looked like he was enjoying himself, too.

255 CA's Communist governor signed into law yesterday even more unconstitutional gun grabbing laws, including a new red flag law that allows them to confiscate your guns on hearsay from your enemies.

I agree the "law" is unconstitutional. Clearly.

For any law that has hearsay as testimony, there also needs to be long incarceration and bankrupting fines for those making false claims that result in a person, even temporarily, losing a civil Right.

257 FiveThirtyEight says the Fascists are in confusion. Warren is narrowly ahead in Iowa, but Quid Pro Joe has a big lead in South Carolina. But the relly interesting thing is that Biden continues to have a huge lead in the endorsement race, and even has picked up new ones in the last week. The powers that be are willing (even eager!) to take a corrupt fake with Alzheimers issues over the communists.

Good luck with that. All the choices look horrible to me.

259 CA's insane forestry laws have resulted in the death of a man yesterday after they cut off power to his home and he could not get to his battery back-up O2 supply in time

Color me skeptical, the medical "details" in this article are either frank BS or incredibly vague. What in the hell is PPAP? If they meant CPAP, CPAP is not delivered via nasal cannula. Twelve minutes? Not ten? Not fifteen? He died of atherosclerosis?

What's the agenda?
Ask yourself who benefits from a story like this.

I've maintained for months that it will be Biden in the end. But I find it surreal how he can survive the evidence of his corruption. Then I think of Hillary. There is a point at which these people get "over the hump" with corruption and it no longer matters. They're almost immunized. I think Biden may be there. The sheer hanging on becomes a kind of strength, a perdurability. It's a party of psychos and so why would another psychotically corrupt figure be seen as a problem?

262 Morning all....

Ugh....what a horrible show by the Cards. They played like they really wanted to be someplace else. They were lethargic...yeah, 'specially you Fowler. You make millions of dollars, could you maybe hustle to get a ball now and then....and throw it with some, oh I don't know....URGENCY!

Having said that, the Nat's pitcher did a great job!

265 Vic, you have my vote for the Saturday Morning Report duties.

I remember when we had cartoons on Saturday Mornings.

We looked forward to it. Then we hated weekends because they stopped that tradition. Now I hate weekends because there's no Freakin Morning Report.

You can change all that. Well, except the cartoons.

On Foote: unsurprisingly, some of the scenes rely on fairly discredited sources. It was written in the 50s and 60s. Examples are Cadwallader for Grant's drunkenness at Vicksburg, several examples of Lee worship, and so on. He does a good job for someone at the time of giving perspective even when using these sources.

It really is probably the best overall summary of the war that has more than a cursory depth of some aspect without requiring a whole library. A series of books that are newer and bridge the gap between very high level and very low level is the "Great Campaigns of the Civil War". An example is Six Armies in Tennessee which combines the Chickamauga and Chattanooga campaign and all the intrigue into 250 pages with good scholarship. There are several of these, most very good, though they might be hard to find.
