- AMD's VP of its client division has hinted that AM4 might see a return. (Tom's Hardware)
Socket AM4 runs on DDR4 memory, where AM5 is DDR5 only. And DDR4 memory hasn't increased in price as much as DDR5, but more importantly, people already have it.
Several AM4 chips are still in production, but some of AMD's most popular CPUs like the 5700X3D and 5800X3D were cancelled because the competed too well with newer models, while others like the 5600X3D and 5700G were never widely available in retail channels.
Don't expect anything actually new, but a return of the 5800X3D would be welcome.

They accidentally made the code public for a short ehile, which quickly led to experimental backports that supported RDNA3 and even RDNA2 graphics cards.

Epiphany is a Christian feast celebrating the revelation of Jesus Christ to the world. It is connected to the Magi’s visit from the East. Christians use the day to celebrate how Jesus came not just for Israel but for all nations.OK. Who Were the Magi That Visited Christ?
The Three Wise Men, also known as the Magi or the Three Kings, are figures mentioned in the Bible in the Gospel of Matthew. They are said to have visited the newborn Jesus in Bethlehem, bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The Bible does not specify the number of Wise Men; the idea of three Wise Men likely comes from the fact that three gifts are mentioned.Any mention of the Wise Men reminds me of this gem from Gary Larson

She'll be allowed to resign, unfortunately, instead of impeached.
And this gross toad gets to keep all of her pension.acing up to five years in prison for helping a violent illegal immigrant escape ICE officers, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan is resigning. But even with the felony conviction on her record, Dugan will receive a generous taxpayer-funded retirement no matter what happens next. A federal jury last month found Dugan guilty on the obstruction charge for the April 18 incident in which the leftist judge escorted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz and his attorney to the "jury door," allowing the illegal alien to briefly flee from Department of Homeland Security agents. On Saturday, Dugan submitted her resignation letter to Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers. In it, she attempted to play both the martyr card and the social-justice hero as she decried the "unprecedented" charges against her. The Milwaukee County judge is appealing her conviction. She awaits a sentencing date, although it is unlikely Dugan will see much, if any, time behind bars for her first offense. "I am the subject of unprecedented federal legal proceedings, which are far from concluded but which present immense and complex challenges that threaten the independence of our judiciary," Dugan asserts in the resignation letter. As The Federalist has reported, a Massachusetts judge faced criminal proceedings in 2019 following a nearly identical incident. "I am pursuing this fight for myself and for our independent judiciary," the felon judge bloviated. "However, the Wisconsin citizens that I cherish deserve to start the year with a judge on the bench in Milwaukee County Branch 31 rather than have the fate of that Court rest in a partisan fight in the state legislature." As a felon, Dugan really has no other choice but to resign. The Wisconsin constitution makes clear that those convicted of a felony are barred from holding "any office of trust, profit or honor in this state" -- unless they have been pardoned.

Well, they say she might "retire." But she has reportedly refused to retire previously because she was determined to only go out after a big success, and she's a horrible ditzy incompetent, so that's just never going to happen.
I don't think it matters any longer. Not to be like the millionth person to say this, but Star Wars is dead. Even people like me who used to talk about Star Wars being dead don't talk about it any longer, because there is no point telling people that a corpse that has been dead for so long that it doesn't even stink any longer is dead. Everyone knows. But... Doomcock was right? Eventually?Puck's Matthew Belloni reports today (paywall, sorry) that 2026 will finally be Kennedy's last as president of Lucasfilm. "In the next week or two, Disney will finally confirm what we've all known for months: Kathleen Kennedy is indeed stepping down as Lucasfilm president, and Dave Filoni, currently the chief creative officer of the Star Wars unit, will be elevated into the top job."He's a ball-less wonder who is as woke as she is and almost as untalented. If you think he's going to be a game-changer, he gave us Ashoka. God bless you! Dave Filoni looks at Rion Johnson and shivers at how toxically masculine Rion Johnson is.
Ten years ago, I would have jumped up and down at the news that Filoni was taking over, but after squandering The Mandalorian and completely wasting Rosario Dawson in whatever the hell Ahsoka was supposed to be, these days I'm less excited. But back to Kennedy. She took over Lucasfilm after Disney bought the company from founder George Lucas in 2012, and her performance can be described in just six words: She couldn't make money on Star Wars. Emphasis added. Because HOLY SHI'ITE. I ran the numbers last year, and this is what I found: "My back-of-the-envelope math indicates that Disney has spent $7.35 billion acquiring and producing Star Wars entertainment and generated $6.41 billion in revenues we can see." Disney+ streaming revenues can't be attributed to any particular show or property, but except for the little-watched Andor and the first two seasons of Mando, Disney's live-action Star Wars TV shows haven't scored well with critics or audiences. And you can forget about all that fabulous toy revenue. Nine-year-old boys aren't exactly clamoring for Rose Tico or Admiral Holdo action figures. "If Disney has realized an actual profit on its $4.05 billion Lucasfilm investment, I'd be shocked," I concluded then, and that was before we learned that Kennedy spent nearly a quarter of a billion dollars (!!!) producing and marketing The Acolyte for Disney+.Steven Green has more, including a run-down of all the cancelled projects and fired directors we saw under the chaotic, emotional rule of Kaffeine Kennedy.

Leftist violence is always minimized, excused, or justified by the left.
At least these terrorists are terrorizing us to move in the right direction. Right?A fire was deliberately set to destroy the massive electrical cables that are part of a 'heat and electrical power station' near Berlin. As ghastly an act as it was, there has been little public press about it because it wasn't Islamic terrorists or those vile 'right-wing' types at long last unleashing the supposed hell the Left has been warning about. None of the above. It was a Leftist eco-terrorist group trying deliberately to murder people in the depths of an unforgiving winter by 'cutting the juice to the ruling class.' Oh. Well, it seems the German authorities think that's cool, then.... According to Stromnetz Berlin, the operator of Berlin's electricity network, power was cut to as many as 45,000 households and more than 2,000 businesses across four districts in south Berlin. The power outage also meant many homes lost heating and hot water as temperatures dropped well below freezing in Berlin. ...In a lengthy statement circulated online and called credible by police, the Vulkangruppe said it had deliberately targeted affluent neighborhoods, to "cut the juice to the ruling class."

Below: The poll numbers change completely, and Harry Enten has more bad news for butthurt mentally-ill anti-Trump obsessives: There is no "rift" in the Republican Party. Trump continues to have 85% support from his fellow Republicans.
"A recent Washington Post poll finds Americans pretty evenly split on the operation over the weekend, 40 percent approve, 42 percent disapprove, 18 percent are unsure," a CNN host read. "When it comes to who should decide the future leadership of Venezuela, 94 percent say the Venezuelan people, six percent say the United States. One thing I have to say is like, this was a very successful military operation. The idea that 42 percent disapprove is a higher number than I would think, it says to be me that the American people are thinking not just about this operation, but also maybe more about well, what comes next." "Well, also, it's Trump," Jennings replied. "I mean, 42 percent of the American people would oppose it if he cured cancer, personally, in the Oval Office, tonight. I mean, there's a reflexive opposition to Trump. It is the entire platform of the Democratic Party to the extent that that's how their leadership tells them to act. That's how the Democratic grassroots are going to see it."

I don't know how hotel franchise operations work. Based on what I see here, I guess that independently-owned hotels sign a franchise agreement to be part of the Hilton chain, so long as they maintain certain contractual standards?
After the Minnesota hotel owned by "Everpeak Hospitality" was exposed for terminating service for DHS for ideological, open-borders reasons, Everpeak claimed that they were scrambling to rectify the "error" and were reaching out to DHS to offer them rooms.Everpeak Hospitality has moved swiftly to address this matter as it was inconsistent with our policy of being a welcoming place for all. We are in touch with the impacted guests to ensure they are accommodated. We do not discriminate against any individuals or agencies and apologize to those impacted. This claim made by Minnesota immigrants was, get this, fraudulent.

@nicksortor BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: I went into the Minnesota Hilton who "apologized" for banning DHS agents, and EXPOSED them for CONTINUING to ban DHS agents @HiltonHotels has decided they want the FULL BUDLIGHT treatment at this point. Hilton's operator, Everpeak, STRAIGHT UP LIED in their statement yesterday which said they were "in touch" with DHS to accommodate impacted agents, and "do not discriminate against any individuals or agencies." NONE of that was true. There was NO attempt to reach DHS agents to make it right, per Asst. DHS Sec. @TriciaOhio
Even the FRONT DESK manager said he had spoken with the owner shortly before I walked in around 10:50pm, and confirmed the ANTI-DHS POLICY REMAINED IN EFFECT. REVOKE THEIR LICENSE, HILTON, OR IT'S GOING TO COST YOU DEARLY. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. This is an INCREDIBLY dumb battle to choose!

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.-- John Adams He had an excellent point, and the collapse of recruiting for the United States military was indicative of a loss of moral clarity on the part of our government. So why should good patriotic Americans enlist to serve our country when its government is behaving in ways that are obviously antithetical to the concept of American Exceptionalism, which is, at its core, moral and religious? And yet in a span of one year, America has seen the change in its government and has decided that serving the country is once again an honorable thing! Historic ICE hiring surge adds 12,000 as agency kicks off 2026 with major busts Recruiting Boost: How US Army's Big Gains in 2025 Translate to New Year It's amazing that the media report "massive" and constant demonstrations against ICE, yet the rest of America outside of NYC, Portland, and a few other blue city shitholes is happy to work for a government department that pays well and is doing real, quantifiable work to get our country back on track. And the armed forces are doing just as well, with all branches reporting solid recruiting that is better than planned. The immediate and public pivot away from struggle sessions and race-baiting and transsexual worship, in conjunction with the head of the Department of War being an unabashed patriot and a man who doesn't wear three masks while looking like a weeble, has yielded instant rewards. Add in two stunning military successes over the skies of Iran and on the ground in Venezuela, and the unequivocal message is that the American military has returned to form, and has shed the lunacy of the Biden/Obama junta, and is well on its way to purging the officer class of Obama-era apparatchiks and post-modern America haters. We are a martial country. The 2nd Amendment wasn't written as a lark to push Americans to take up arms in defense of their freedoms; it was a response to and a defense of a well developed political and moral philosophy. That we are returning to the status quo ante Obama/Biden is a testament to the resiliency of the American body politic, and our cultural memory of exactly how we emerged from the malaise of a sclerotic Europe, and created the greatest country in the history of the world! Happy Anniversary, Patriotic Americans! It was five years ago today when red-blooded Americans walked peacefully and patriotically from President Donald Trump's speech in Washington, D.C., to the Capitol to let Congress know that stealing an election was not tolerable. Then, the Biden (-fronted junta) turned its Gestapo knob to 14. What happened next was anything but Constitutional. MAGA meemaws had their homes surrounded by FBI agents with machine guns, and were dragged off to federal courthouses. The FBI decided that historically patriotic symbols, like the Betsy Ross flag, were signs of "domestic extremism." Kaki-clad Special Agents knocked on the doors of people who had never been arrested and began with the ubiquitous lie, "You aren't in any trouble, but we'd like to talk to you about what you may have seen on January 6." . . Today, things are different. Almost all the J6ers have been pardoned. Kash Patel is giving the FBI the enema it sorely needs. My J6er fiancée, Jessica, and I can sleep. Trump is hilariously turning the commies upside down, and real Americans no longer fear tyranny, for now anyway.
And here we are five years later. Many here and elsewhere have observed and I wholeheartedly concur, Perhaps President Trump's greatest accomplishment, especially in the wake of his first term where he set out to "drain the swamp" was by his mere presence exposing the corruption in the system, or as has been observed that Corruption perhaps was and remains the system itself. And, despite the nightmare of Election
Many questions are circulating about how the communist protests were so well organized within hours of Maduro’s capture . . . Thanks to the Democrats, the red-green axis gained momentum globally, and its exponents are still trying to advance their agenda inside America, as they strive toward anarchy and the imposition of their own authoritarian rule. The new mayor of New York City is the representative of both elements of this alliance. Right after his inauguration came Muslim street prayers that dominated Times Square, and now the communist protests have come as well.Yes it is amazing how hundreds of these drones each with professionally printed protest signs manage to show up just at the right time. And as we saw elsewhere how pallets of bricks magically appear on city streets and wind up being used as weapons to destroy businesses and be hurled at police. Considering America itself is within our hemisphere, I should think the Monroe Doctrine applies with just as much if not more force within our own borders. Over to you President Donald Bolivar Trump! Have a great day. And lastly, a quick shout-out and a huge thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Tonight is the official planned debut of the new CBS Evening News, though they actually moved up the debut to two days ago to cover the capture of Maduro. Is it worth watching? I have no idea.
A leftist revenged-doxxed a man who he claimed was Delta Force's (secret) commander. Apparently he doxxed the wrong man. Leftist media had already gotten into bed with him; maybe he'll lose his HBO show. He's rabidly anti-american and anti-military:Brad R. TorgersenGuess who just had this Solid Citizen on his podcast to spread his lies about drug- and murder-crazy soldiers? That's right, of course, unregistered foreign agent Tucker Carlson. One of those totally-legitimate taxpayer-funded daycare services made so much money from babysitting -- you know, like a 13 year old girl's job -- that they bought a $93,250 Porsche, paid in full with a single check. Some Democrats, including the Democrat activists at the Politico knock-off Axios, aren't sure Democrats should support tyrannical narcoterrorists just to reflexively oppose Trump.
@BradRTorgersen
Recap for those who missed it: Seth Harp is a prior Army Reservist with an Iraq deployment to his credit, who parlayed his civ law career into a political "world conflict journalism" gig. Has a bestseller and swanky mag bylines to his credit. Claims SOF is full of murderous coke-heads. Hates Israel. Decided to doxx what he thought was a Delta Force senior officer. Doxxed literally the wrong man. Promptly went into digital hiding as a result. Will his swanky mag bylines keep his HBO option intact, or will they scuttle him due to the bad optics?
Some Democrats are grumbling at their party's largely oppositional stance to President Trump's raid to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, saying privately that their colleagues should be celebrating.
Why it matters: These lawmakers argue it could be a major political miscalculation if the party fails to applaud the downfall of a brutal dictator with sufficient volume, even given grave concerns about the operation's legality and longer-term ramifications. Party leaders have raged at Trump for bypassing Congress and leaving them in the dark about the operation to capture Maduro, which involved striking several military targets in Venezuela's capital city.
And many rank-and-file lawmakers, buoyed by polling that shows Americans largely oppose a protracted intervention in Venezuela, have also seized on Trump's comments that the U.S. will temporarily "run" the country.
Some centrists and battleground-district members -- who spoke to Axios on the condition of anonymity to offer candid criticisms of their party's messaging -- have a different view. What we're hearing: One swing-district House Democrat told Axios in a text message on Saturday, "Nuance is dead in politics." "Maduro is bad, glad he is gone ... You can't have it both ways," the lawmaker said, venting that "everything Trump touches must be bad according to the base."
Another vulnerable House Democrat told Axios in a phone interview: "As Democrats we can't just condemn what happened ... I wish the Democratic Party would be a little bit more measured on this."
"I think it looks weak," a third centrist House Democrat said. "If you don't acknowledge when there is a win for our country, then you lose all credibility." Between the lines: It's not just about politics. The second lawmaker who spoke to Axios noted that Democrats widely condemned Venezuela's sham elections last year and have long advocated for democracy abroad. "What happened to when they had the election and Maduro stole the election? There were Democrats condemning that," the House Democrat said.
"Have we forgotten what's happened ... in that country?"
The third House Democrat told Axios they were surprised "how negative the response has been" from their colleagues.
Boasberg alert: He wants to return all of the deported Venezuelan gangsters and drug-dealers back to the US.
A Venezuelan says that 'international law' didn't care when Maduro imprisoned him and tortured him, so he doesn't think 'international law" should protect his torturer, Maduro, either.
DOJ requests delay of court deadline to return deported Venezuelans to US after Maduro arrest
The DOJ said that the extension is necessary because the military operation over the weekend has led to "substantial changes" in the country
The Justice Department requested a week-long delay of a court deadline to return deported Venezuelans to the United States after the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a U.S. military operation. The DOJ is facing a Monday deadline from U.S. District Judge James Boasberg to either "facilitate the return" of the deported Venezuelan nationals to the U.S. or "otherwise provide them with hearings that satisfy the requirements of due process," the Washington Examiner reported.

Hilton Hotels is going to have a very bad week. They've decided to opt for the Bud Light Treatment and align themselves with the Left's anti-Trump "Resist" movement. How? By denying hotel rooms in Minneapolis to government officials. Both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have called out the hotel mega-chain. "When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations," DHS wrote on X. "This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation's immigration laws?" DHS also shared an email from a Hilton employee with the subject "Upcoming reservation." In the email, the employee wrote, "After further investigation online, we have found immigration work connected with your name, and we will be canceling your upcoming reservation. You should see a proper cancellation email in your inbox shortly from Hilton."

He also says he's President of Venezuela, which is insane, because I know from Tucker Carlson that the real president of Venezuela is now Binyamin Netanyahu or some other GloboHomo Jew.
Are you kidding me? It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than to convince an elderly leftist to give up government power.
Nicolas Maduro described himself as a "prisoner of war" during his first court appearance since being captured by the United States. The deposed Venezuelan president formally pleaded not guilty to narco-terrorism and weapons charges in a New York court on Monday afternoon. Wearing a blue shirt over an orange undershirt, Mr Maduro was asked by the judge to confirm his identity. Speaking in Spanish, he replied: "I am the president of Venezuela. I consider myself a prisoner of war. I was captured at my home in Caracas." The judge cut him short, saying there would be "a time and a place" to address those claims. Mr Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores, also appeared in court, dressed in the same prison clothing. Asked to enter his plea, Mr Maduro said: "I am innocent. I am not guilty of anything mentioned here." ... The case is being overseen by Alvin Hellerstein, 92, a federal judge appointed by Bill Clinton nearly three decades ago.

I'd've preferred hanging, but I guess this is something.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Monday announced administrative action against Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., over his participation in a video that he deemed "reckless and seditious." Kelly, in November, appeared alongside several other Democratic lawmakers in a video urging American servicemembers to disobey "illegal orders" from President Donald Trump. The video generated outcry from conservatives, many of whom suggested the lawmakers were attempting to incite disloyalty in the military. "[T]he Department of War is taking administrative action against Captain Mark E. Kelly, USN (Ret)," Hegseth announced. "The department has initiated retirement grade determination proceedings under 10 U.S.C. sec. 1370(f), with reduction in his retired grade resulting in a corresponding reduction in retired pay."
Secretary of War Pete HegsethSomeone on Twitter pointed out that, despite the left's psyops about Hegseth being unqualified, every action he's ordered has gone off without a hitch. It's almost as if the military performs better when it's led by someone who knows what he's doing and also does not hate the military itself.
@SecWar 2h Six weeks ago, Senator Mark Kelly -- and five other members of Congress -- released a reckless and seditious video that was clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline. As a retired Navy Captain who is still receiving a military pension, Captain Kelly knows he is still accountable to military justice. And the Department of War -- and the American people -- expect justice. Therefore, in response to Senator Mark Kelly's seditious statements -- and his pattern of reckless misconduct -- the Department of War is taking administrative action against Captain Mark E. Kelly, USN (Ret). The department has initiated retirement grade determination proceedings under 10 U.S.C. sec. 1370(f), with reduction in his retired grade resulting in a corresponding reduction in retired pay. To ensure this action, the Secretary of War has also issued a formal Letter of Censure, which outlines the totality of Captain (for now) Kelly's reckless misconduct. This Censure is a necessary process step, and will be placed in Captain Kelly's official and permanent military personnel file. Captain Kelly has been provided notice of the basis for this action and has thirty days to submit a response. The retirement grade determination process directed by Secretary Hegseth will be completed within forty five days. Captain Kelly's status as a sitting United States Senator does not exempt him from accountability, and further violations could result in further action. These actions are based on Captain Kelly's public statements from June through December 2025 in which he characterized lawful military operations as illegal and counseled members of the Armed Forces to refuse lawful orders. This conduct was seditious in nature and violated Articles 133 and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, to which Captain Kelly remains subject as a retired officer receiving pay.
