I was going to skip the Donald Trump, Jr. thing in the interests of blog peace.

Until Donald Trump himself made it clear that he's willing to side with leftwing woke corporations if it can help him defeat the man who is obviously his superior in every way.

Donald Trump, Jr. apparently got a call from Budweiser executives who mentioned to him that Anheuser-Busch donates to Republicans... and Trump.

As Michael Knowles points out, almost every corporation has given about evenly to both parties, "greasing the wheels" for a future time when they will need political favors. This doesn't make the corporations "conservative," particularly when they're giving to the parties evenly. Donald Trump, Jr. thinks it's amazeballs that Budweiser is giving "about 60%" to Republicans.

Even if that's true, okay, they're giving 60% to Republicans -- and then giving millions and millions in free transgender propaganda to the left.

This is a win? Cheap date "conservatives" destroy the movement.

Anheuser Busch is scrambling to lull conservatives back to sleep, but only with empty non-statements and empty visuals of Clydesdales and barns. Matt Walsh asks, why would we end the boycott now when it's obviously working, and we're experiencing the closest thing to a win we've seen in the corporate front of the Culture War?

Ah, but of course, if you're a born-and-bred liberal New Yorker, you're not interested in the Culture War. You think that's something that unfashionable Christians bother themselves with.

Then Donald Trump decided that he is willing to partner with the Disney Devil himself if it gets him just some juicy likes on ~~Twitter~~ "Truth" social. He agrees with all the liberals attacking DeSantis that his battle with Disney is merely "a political STUNT" and "unnecessary," because of course liberals always think it's unnecessary for conservatives to fight back in the Culture War.

I'm waiting for "Sundance's" analysis about how DeSantis taking on Disney proves that he's a "Managed Principal" owned and operated by the corporate establishment, whereas Trump sticking up for his corporate fwenz proves that he's a Fierce Independent Who Just Wants to Do What's Right.

Let's get this out of the way as well: a pro-Trump PAC has been running Democrat-like ads against DeSantis, accusing him of wanting to cut entitlements.

And also hitting him for sticking his fingers into pudding, instead of putting his fingers where they should obviously be put, into the grody vagina of a porn star.

The Young Turks really loved the Trump PAC's attack on the best Republican candidate:

CNN and Jake Tapper love the ad. Jonah Goldberg calls it "brilliant."

Wait, who's the "Managed Principal" of the global corporatists here?

Entitlement reform is something that gets periodically considered.

Say, you know who else considered entitlement reform and said that cuts to entitlement were "on the table"? Oh right, Donald Trump.

As this pro-DeSantis PAC ad reminds everyone:

Jake Tapper notes -- or claims -- that every budget submitted by Trump called for cuts to entitlements.

Another ad points out Trump's penchant for supporting Democrat-crafted gun control measures, and mocking Republicans for being unwilling to "stand up" to the NRA:

Note that the Young Turks defend Trump there, too. They praise Trump for propsoing some "pretty reasonable" gun control laws.

It's almost as if they support the candidate they know the Democrats can beat or something.

Trump has in fact questioned why the GOP protects the AR-15 from an "assault weapon" ban, saying "I don't know why anyone needs an AR-15."

As president, Donald Trump privately pushed for banning AR-15-type rifles, according to a new report. Trump was -- and is -- a big defender of Second Amendment rights. So the new revelation is surprising that he tried to renew the "assault weapon" ban during his first two years in office.
The news about Trump is buried in a lengthy story in The Washinton Post on Monday about AR-15 style rifles. The report says he tried multiple times in 2018 and 2019 to get support for a federal "assault-weapon" ban.

In the summer of 2019, after back-to-back mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso involving an AR-15-style pistol and an AKM-style rifle, Trump told aides that he wanted to ban AR-15s, according to people present for the statements.
"I don't know why anyone needs an AR-15," Trump told aides as he flew on Marine One to the White House in August 2019, according to a person who heard his comments.
As one former official put it in describing the real estate developer turned politician, "His reflexes were a New York liberal on guns. He doesn't have knee-jerk conservative reflexes."
But Trump was also petrified of the NRA and others taking him on, former advisers said, and heard from a number of advisers that it would be unpopular. Trump ultimately stopped entertaining the idea of working with Democrats on gun control later that year, when he was caught in a scandal over his now-infamous phone call with Ukraine's president.
"F--- it, I'm not going to work with them on anything. They're f---ing impeaching me," Trump said in one Oval Office meeting, according to a participant.

You can say "but that's the Washington Post" but that DeSantis PAC ad has Trump repeatedly declaring on video that he is willing to "stand up to the NRA" and he attacks other Republicans for being "afraid" of the NRA.

Also, the Young Turks video defends Trump, but does so by quoting a 2019 New York Times article which uses NRA head Wayne LaPierre as a source. LaPierre brags that he talked Trump out of supporting Democrat-style gun control laws.

Assume everything is true. InBev is a major backer of the GOP and this disaster was actually a rogue executive acting without authority. They are a stalwart ally of the Party. I sort of feel bad for Desantis when he steps into the same snake pit that Trump has been managing for the last eight or so years. Assuming they attack him the same way. And I truly hope they do, not because I want him and his family destroyed in the media, around the world, and in courts, with business partnerships threatened and legal counsel difficult to acquire because lawyers know they'll be risking career-ending decisions, but because that will be appropriate for someone on the outside.

Donald Trump rightly saw that in 2016, there was no candidate responding to what the conservative/Republicans wanted. He said the things they wanted to hear, even tried to make some them happen, and he fought for them/us. But he also made a bunch of mistakes, and was defeated by the Swamp.

DeSantis represents as a Conservative, and has been enacting some of the greatest conservative policies in Florida. He has a great track record. He's not outwardly egotistical, he doesn't have the same kind of baggage, he hasn't been hoodwinked by the Swamp, and does not continuously come back to try and make nice with the Left/media.

Thank you for what you did, President Trump. But in the same way I told people you're voting for a president, not your pastor, I will say that we NEED to win this election, and it is foolish to stick with damaged goods in the hopes that we can drag him across the finish line.

You are right that there is not exact equivalency, that they are identical and every single possible attack on Trump can be used on DeSantis. Indeed. This is at least a subconscious reason for a lot of Trump's support. They don't think any Republican can win, so they'd rather lose with Trump than with someone else.

I'm not ready to give up. If the Democrats win another term, it's over. There's no way Clarence Thomas can hang on for another six years, he's been in and out of the hospital. Some of the other justices are getting on in years too. So we lose the Court. Then we can count on another 10-20 million illegals over the border, making them all citizens, etc., etc.

A non-Trump candidate at least has a shot at winning because the GOP establishment won't actively undermine him. To beat the establishment, you need at least a few allies.

Every election worker in America will work his butt off to make Trump lose. You can stuff ballot boxes if you think you're fighting Hitler. The motivation to cheat won't be as strong with anyone else. Still a long shot, but least a shot.

If the powers that be decide DeSantis should be the nominee, so what? He' a RINO, supported by Paul Ryan, US Chamber of Commerce. Like Reagan and Dubya he is a big tough do-right governor. As president he will be something much, much less (Reagan gave us our immigration crisis with his 86 amnesty).

President Trump (or Ron DeSantis) is going to lose in 2024, but not because of anything he says or does. The 2024 election result is predetermined. Just as the 2020 result was predetermined and just as the 2022 Arizona Governor election was predetermined and the 2022 Pennsylvania Senate election was predetermined.

The 2024 election rigging and steal is going to happen. All that is happening now is the Deep State is working to weaken every Republican candidate so the Deep State does not have to work as hard to rig and steal 2024 as they did to steal 2020 and 2022. By encouraging infighting and chaos among their enemies and the electorate of their enemies, their plan is working perfectly.

Look at the NFL and MLB as prime examples. Both those leagues have stopped the main offensive virtue signaling with kneeling during the anthem and explicit Black-Lives-Matter marketing. But what they have been doing since that stopped has been 100Xs worse. Hundreds of millions of dollars of donations to Black-Lives-Matter and other radical activist groups, promoting Black-Lives-Matter narratives in their commercials and on their helmets and playing fields, etc.

And look at Disney amusement parks. They are still packed. Conservatives are still supporting Disney through the amusement parks.

A little late to the party on the conclusion. Social conservatives have been begging the conservative movement as a whole to fight the culture war for at least 15-20 years now. As recently as 2009 when Obama was President, the conservative movement still refused to fight the culture war. "Too divisive" they said. "We can't win elections if we fight the culture war" they said.

Meanwhile, the Left continued unabated with their Long March Through the Institutions, capturing every single one. And here we are. Culture war lost without the conservative movement ever getting in the fight until it was too late. Brilliant.
